61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoins today and be a millionaire in the future! on: August 01, 2017, 08:39:31 PM
That's my hope of investing in bitcoin. Hopefully in the future, i can have more money from bitcoin. Because bitcoin users continue to grow and this a good thing.
Everyone want to be a millionaire and everyone thinks that bitcoin is the solution, that is a good thing, but i guess it is a bit late to collect the amount of crazy coins you could have got when it was easy in the beginning, but right now it is hard to collect that kind of coins unless you are big time miner.
62  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 28, 2017, 11:15:47 PM
Uncertainty about 1st August. But I will keep both, Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash, the best solution is to let a few days pass and see the market reaction.
Without a doubt the price of bitcoin will rise after August and with the recent recovery of price after a huge slump says that the investors are willing to purchase the coins whenever possible and it is a really good sign and can clearly say that the price will rise pretty soon.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: July 14, 2017, 08:02:43 PM
Yes I agree, the era of the financial future is cryptocurrency and we become history for being the first to use cryptocurrency era, let big investment to cryptocurrency because this is the future of the financial world.
It is the future and i am glad to be part of the history,if you are able to make some wise investments then you could make a good financial security for the future,it just started and we will see it flourish in the future.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: July 14, 2017, 07:23:09 PM
Bitcoin can not replace the dollar, because it exists only on the Internet. The dollar is very stable and controlled by the government, and bitcoin is based only on user activity.
Bitcoin might not replace dollar, but it can be used for local purposes if you can get hold of a bitcoin based debit card, the freedom of bitcoin is that it is not controlled by any government agencies and so is the reason i am here.

What are the best gpu cards to get grc with? I was looking on amazon at RX 580's and they're cheap but they get bought up straight away! Tiny chance of actually getting one, unless from eBay at 2-3x the value. I did manage to get a 970 from warehouse at 50% off Cheesy

Hi, how can I earn money here?
Invest and wait or mine and wait. This will be one of the top 10 coins.

Any hardware wallets that can store gridcoin? I've not bought one yet, but was thinking about it.

After many years in the market still, why GRC cannot able to secure it's the highest mark in the market. Is there any technical problems behind it like Dev is not working in the background. Already it should play some significant role in crypto market.
Development is more so than ever, it's just gridcoin hasn't been marketed much and when it has it's been trying to reach users already using BOINC, so anyone donating their computational power can get paid. I know its not so much 'donating' now but if Gridcoin can get more users using boinc via the incentive, then it can only be a better thing for humanity. Anyone who actually reads up on Gridcoin is amazed and does ultimately invest, but yes does wonder why it's not in the top 10 and thats because advertising was aimed at boinc users, not so much now though. This coin will explode to the top.

Before i saw this i didnt realize how amazing this thing was: https://boinc.berkeley.edu/chart_list.php
We can actually use this network to find solutions to great problems. Just to name a few i found interresting:
 Cheesy
Collatz conjecture: Math problem
SETI@Home: search for Aliens!!!!
POEM@Home: Protein folding

Just wanted to share that

Lol if gridcoin found aliens it would be zoop right to $100.

That's kind of a low altitude observation.

Finding aliens, for most people, would decrease the significance of local currency i.e., the relative price of any currency would be less worth obsessing over.

But also worth noting that when you meet a super smart person, that person usually is very sure of extra terrestrial intelligence, even without formal data to prove it. Food before telescopes though  Cheesy

Yeah but most probably 1000's of light years away and 100's of thousands for intelligent life and millions for advanced intelligent life...but possible a type 3 civilisation could be there but we wouldn't be able to notice them and they would have no interest in us anyway, it would for them, be like a human talking to an ant.

I believe the Rosetta project probably counts as "the most serious science" project on BOINC, though POEM and at least one of the astronomical ones (not SETI, that's more of a speculation thing) and a few of the others can argue the point.

I agree, when I'm running SETI I might as well be trying to solve the bitcoin algorithm.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / How much do you trade with? and feel comfortable with exchange holding on: May 23, 2017, 09:58:53 PM
Just wondering how much bitcoin you feel comfortable with an exchange holding while you trade. I'm not asking anyone and wouldn't recommend anyone detailing in the thread their finances.

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin Research (GRC) Price Speculation - Estimation on: May 22, 2017, 10:40:24 AM
This seems the best coin to invest in, such an underdog for no reason and is certainly a coin with the most value to add. I think people just dont understand how it contributes to science, they probably just think a percentage is donated or something and not that it is in fact your computing power which helps with scientific  problems. Personally I think this coin will make a few early investors millionaires in the coming year or 2.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating the Game Economy with BitCrystals (BCY) on: May 14, 2017, 08:22:44 AM
Thank you for clearing that up. One other thing, can cards without any abilities eventually get an ability upon upgrading them?

Also you say only rare cards will be blockchainixeable, but if I understand correctly, you can just upgrade basic cards to rare cards? So all cards can be blockchainizeable, only at their final form?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spells of Genesis - Innovating the Game Economy with BitCrystals (BCY) on: May 12, 2017, 08:21:57 AM
Is it possible to sell cards you have found and upgraded in game?
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: May 11, 2017, 12:57:35 PM
Finally it can get some recognition, and hopefully people actually read up on it. Certainly worth more then most coins. Should be BTC, LTC (not sure why maybe im a traditionalist) then GRC.
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTC transaction times?? on: May 02, 2017, 06:34:29 AM
I agree, just had a transaction with a recommended $5 fee due to it being my dust collecting address. So yeah pretty big, so I altered it to 4000 satoshi and it went through pretty much straight away. I was expecting it to get stuck for a week and refunded, so was pleasantly surprised.
