81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: April 30, 2017, 07:46:44 AM
it would be better though to be more active here. There are so many people asking for it..
I agree, purely for advertising than anything else. In other areas where yo u read up on Gridcoin they're always talking about where and how to advertise. Meanwhile clone coins are pump n dumping aka Gollem at the moment.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: April 30, 2017, 07:43:37 AM
What has this got that Gridcoin hasn't? Gridcoin looks much more developed and well overall a better coin/trustworthy.

This is such a bubble! Although it has peaked my interest I will buy when the panic sets in. Too few hold too much at the moment and as the price increase, so does the odds of 1 person selling it to the floor. Where is the best place to buy?

MANDATORY Gridcoin version 3.5.8.8 available

switch block is #860500

https://steemit.com/gridcoin/@erkan/mandatory-gridcoin-version-3-5-8-8-block-860500

Do I have to upgrade then? I'm using v3.5.6.7-g-research but went to download the latest from gridcoin.us and still got this version.

86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Want ti change QT password, worried about old wallets. Just need to double check on: January 16, 2017, 11:09:41 AM
Ok so as I understand it, and I'm just checking I've got this right as I've gotten conflicting information. If I want to change my password I use for bitcoin-qt, and not have old wallets with the old password jeopardize my coins, I can change password, generate a new bitcoin address and send all my coins to myself using the newly created address? Also this would refresh the keypool?
I know I can make a new wallet.dat file, but that terrifies me! Read a few too many horror stories.

87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: December 28, 2016, 08:46:49 PM
Good time to dig this old beauty out. Stay calm though gentlemen, we've all made significant money HODLING over the past few years but let's wait until we obliterate the ATH. I'm talking multiple thousands of dollars per bitcoin before we get too excited.

We need strong hands, do not sell everything yet.
Don't sell anything ever.

I think we need to start talking about those hodling 21 or more Bitcoin. I believe that that will be the new millionaires club.
Come on $47,619! That will be an huge milestone.
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading Forex with Bitcoin deposit/withdraw on: December 16, 2016, 11:05:05 AM

Fxopen has been exiting for more than fifteen years now. I have used Fxopen several times in trading, they have one of the very best trading tools for trading and a good customers care services agents in this field. Op thank you very much for compiled this for us trader that has good interest of doing transactions with bitcoin.

What has happened to FXopen? There website is all screwed up, I cant see bitcoin deposits. Is it still running ok?
89  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain $2 fee on $40 transaction? :/ on: November 13, 2016, 11:08:48 PM
Well I sent it with a 0.00022 fee ($0.15), so still a big fee but I need it to confirm quickly, so we will see. Here is the transaction, btw I love my address! https://blockchain.info/tx/8de09aba4a2ac79c8b4240eb294d1ca4c50ce96c7eb938950348dccd07d9a784

Just check your transaction size and you will conclude that it will be very hard for this tx to get confirmed.
You have many inputs which caused the transaction size to be Size : 7437 (bytes)

bah so thats $40 down the toilet? does say 'medium' priority'

Just set your fee manually using https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ as a guide. BTW I just sent from bc.info using advanced send and the suggested fee was reasonable and low.
ok cool but how do I see how many bytes my transaction will be? I've not sent it yet.
92  Economy / Web Wallets / blockchain $2 fee on $40 transaction? :/ on: November 13, 2016, 07:50:46 PM
I've not sent anything from my blockchain wallet in a long time, but upon deciding to cash out I niotice a $2+ recommended fee. wtf? why is this?
93  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 500 satoshi free every 10mins of listening to internet radio! 10% affiliate on: November 06, 2016, 06:15:59 PM
I am from India ... I did wait for first 30 mins & then after 10 mins it gave me a captcha ... I solved it & yet to receive the payment
But after that Its been more than 20 minutes I have still not got another captcha to solve
This radio loyalty sh*t is a scam, after i  listen a while a message was  displayed instead of captcha :
We have detected that you may be running an ad blocker.

To continue earning, please disable all ad blocking and reload the page or click here.

When you click "here" you will get page reload/timer reset.
and no captcha at all despite to the any browser you use, just this crap message .
I have tried this "money earning option" on PTCs (such as Ayuwage, etc.. ) long time ago as well and not getting paid (same message about a fictive adblocker). And i don't use sh*ts like blocker, anonymous surfs, etc.
I thought this faucetfm is good faucet and has a honest paying radio but no change at all, same radio crap website .
If you are not from usa,uk, canada or au. as Caztiel or me or some others you will waste your time listening and watching their video ads because you won't get paid . Stay away from that radio scam if you are not from those 4 countries..
To faucetfm admin; Remove that radio loyalty crap site which is scamming different countries and make the faucetfm a real faucet or change it to a bitcoin ptc . I bet you don't know that many countries get scammed by that radio loyalty crap website because you are living in one of the 4 top mentioned countries.

Hey sorry you had a bad experience. I am indeed in one such country. I used to run a faucet but got raped by bots and banned from adsense, so now it''s just the radio player. You can see under the payment proofs that it is paying, I suggest just having it in the background.

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Anyone watching Mr Robot? on: September 09, 2016, 10:22:39 AM
Just wondering who here is watching Mr Robot? Bitcoin is all over it, especially in the 2nd season! Surprised there isn't a shitty alt called E coin yet.

On a clear day you can see Mount Rainier from Canada, but because of the earth's curvature, you can only see the tip.

98  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Adsense Banning Faucets Again on: August 26, 2016, 10:03:39 AM
Any advise on getting accounts back? I run other websites with adsense so uts affected them as well.

There is no way to get the account back...
The only chance is to create a new account (using someone close to you: brother, sister, parent, etc)
The problem is that when they ban the account, the websites are banned too ..

ok thank you. I keep sending appeals with proof of bot traffic, I dont get why they wouldn't unban for a reason like that. If I create a new account with someone elses name, do I have to use a different computer? aka do the check MAC addresses? obviously get paid to a different account.
