43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Im a fool, encrypted wallet.dat , need advice on: May 16, 2013, 08:15:12 PM
I experienced the same problem before. My advice to you is try to remember the password. Think in a simple/easy way, do not make the situation worse by trying to remember more complex passwords that you would have used. I remembered my password away from the computer/keyboard. Trying multiple failure passwords would make it much harder for you to remember. Good Luck!
44  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BTCMLM: Random scam & spam in my email, many, many times today on: April 19, 2013, 01:34:06 AM
Got a version of this email today from ppl claiming to be [and obviously are not]

GLBSE
BitPay
[chinese characters]
info@mtgox.com
account@btcmlm.org

45  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Dumb Question : If I found a security flaw with a major bitcoin company .. on: March 26, 2013, 06:42:05 PM
Do not publish the bug. And do not exploit it. Keep trying to reach them. Usually it takes some time for your email to reach the right person within the company. Do not rush and do not take any action to be blamed about in the future.
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 08, 2013, 05:51:30 AM
Do not panic sell! we are going way much higher than anyone would imagine in just few days!

apparently bitcoin is cheaper now then it was at 5$ if you consider Supply Vs Demand
get ready for 500$ bitcoins!  Grin Grin Grin

43$ today sounds and feels more like 4.3$ by the end of 2011 first quarter of 2012. Yes I said first quarter of 2012, that is just 12 months ago. 10x in 1 year. Be Ready for $100+ and if you have any doubt about that, just be sure that it will keep advancing every single week.

Its a Tojan! Don't even think about downloading such crap!
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: March 05, 2013, 03:21:51 AM
More likely it will land in the range of 50$ to 60$ in maximum 2 weeks. $40+ is gonna be the new reality probably in hours, if not so in few days. Are we kissing the 3x goodbye?

Why has the whales changed their strategy? I don't see a wall/brake yet, do they decide to allow the bubble to form?

Walls been used just to play a stress/psychological game on bears! It seems they are done buying all they needed and now we are open to a new stage of unclear possibilities. It seems to me that Walls wouldn't show again under 40$ "at least for the coming 3 days".

I think it's one stone three birds, the ask wall/strategy can be used to cool off the market, stress the bears to sell to them cheaper, and gives the hype enough time to propagate, that's why I am surprised I have not seen one yet, actually someone puts up a buy wall instead.

What if BTC price can now easily rally to 100$? If you consider that, will you still be surprised from the current market behaviour?

I don't doubt it, but if that's the case, why don't they accumulate more from the bearish weaklings right now? Or have they all been killed, that they want to let in some more lunch money and pension investors?

Stage1: Buy High and drive it higher
Stage2: Sell Higher and drive it low
Stage3: Buy lower than Stage2 "just a bit higher than stage1" and drive it higher
Stage4: Sell higher than Stage3 and drive it lower
Stage5: Buy lower than stage4 "just a bit higher than stage3" and drive it higher

At the moment of this writing we are being drived higher toward 40$.
Does that make any sense?

53  Economy / Digital goods / [EnerBot] Modular Mt.Gox Trading Bot [Customized for your own trading strategy] on: March 02, 2013, 07:34:52 PM
EnerBot is a modular/custom Mt.Gox trading bot. I've started developing EnerBot 18 months ago. During this period EnerBot used hundreds of different trading strategies until it matured and reached its final flexible/profitable trading algorithm, that I've been using privately for the last 6 months. EnerBot used to make minimum 20$/maximum 150$ pure profit daily when BTC price was around 7$. Today EnerBot daily trading profit varies between 50$ to 500$ a day, and can do much more with higher trading volume. It is easy to create a trading bot but it requires long time and effort to examine different trading algorithms/strategies. My main target in tuning EnerBot's trading algorithm was to make it earn ~1% daily profit of its initial trading volume.

I am creating this thread to announce that EnerBot is no longer private. It is now available for sale. If you are interested in buying EnerBot You can pm me here or email me at bitnodes@gmail.com with subject [EnerBot]. You can also request private trading features/strategies/add-ons to be added to your EnerBot. Your private EnerBot add-on will remain private, in that it will never be published or made available for any other EnerBot.

If you think its a low volume day you are mistaken. Usually a low volume day is a signal for a storm; same day midnight or next day. Be ready and don't forget to fasten your seatbelt Wink

Come on you bears, I want to buy cheap on Tuesday  Grin

I see you guys use google trends with different searchwords.
I have a look there too, from time to time. However, all combined searchterms are an order of magnitude lower than simply "bitcoin":

So, don't get too excited when some obscure searchterm has a huge climb, check back with "bitcoin" too ;-)

Ente

Yeah I know they are much lower. I dont use just "bitcoin" because it could be related to just information. "Buy bitcoins" or "blockchain" on the other hand indicate that the person is actively interested in acquiring a/o holding their coins safely.

Yes, indeed, you are right!
Different tools, and both good for their task! :-)

59  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTB] Mt Gox Bitcoin Trading Bot that works on: February 18, 2013, 06:24:04 AM
I've created a python bot for Mtgox with my own algorithm. It took me more than a year to adjust the algorithm. If anyone is interested pm me with your offer and requirements. I can edit the algorithm to meet your specific trading strategy. If I get multiple offers I will consider coding a decent GUI for the bot.

This is not a serious analysis thread, some chest-thumping is allowed I think? Cheesy OK, what I really meant to say is: we had quite a few dumps of 40-50K size which were also much more fierce yet the market did not yield, if someone saw a slow-motion 10k-20k dump and decided it's time to jump on the boat, then it's tuition fee paid.

Sure. Tongue I dunno how serious to take the speculation stuff anyway... some people burn all their money while others are just trolling for the lulz. (The trolls win, they get infinite% drama profit. Tongue )

Anyway, it's not normal bears. Maybe part-time bears, or mutants turning into bulls or bears at random. Now they're mostly pseudo bulls. They pulled us up, but when they start changing, the rollercoaster begins, so better fasten your seat-belts! Cool

There is a simple fact that you should consider: Shorting Bitcoins is much more secure than longing it. By shorting Bitcoins and buying back at a lower price, bears would have the flexibility of withdrawing Bitcoins instead of longing and being stuck with fiat currency in the exchange website. For that particular reason "and please feel free to correct me if am wrong", bears usually couldn't stand shorting more than 48 hours, if not few hours.
