522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin really really cheap right now? Or is it dying? on: February 27, 2013, 12:27:38 AM
Most who know about litecoin aren't searching for it. LOL

hardly a good argument:

I agree! Good call.

I agree? Good call? You're the dumbass that doesn't even like Litecoin.

In that case, would you mind changing the #of threads dropdown to a fixed number we can change, without trying to detect the cores? On my Atrix, SGS and Nexus 7, more than 1 thread is not an option in the menu until I have changed the orientation to horizontal.
Have you been able to figure out why the miner stops mining and all the fields go back to default when the orientation changes?
If you have abandoned development on this project, have you considered making it open source?

Will do on the next update soon, just been caught up with other projects! Smiley

It's funny when Bit coin users expect LTC to be just as valuable and popular as BTC. Please fucktards, open your mind

Nobody expects Litecoin to be as valuable and popular as Bitcoin, that doesn't even make sense. The point is, that many altcoins are only created to benefit their creators and have no long term future. And I can think of a few scenario's in which Litecoin can be somewhat useful for a specific purpose, but not so much that it's a good idea to pour any money in it.

Oh really? So, how did coblee benefit from the creation of Litecoin? LTC donations?

Mining early on and waiting for suckers who buy in hoping to find the next Bitcoin?

Oh right, because Bitcoin is open source for no reason because it's perfect the way it. Open your eyes, dumbass. It's open source so someone can build off it. There's nothing wrong with trying to recreate Bitchcoin's success with another coin. You guys scared? If it's useless, then don't bother other people about. You guys stingy that only Bitcoin can be successful and should be the only cryptocoin that should exist?

USD provides all the functions that people need right now, so how can Euros provide usefulness?

LOL...You're saying that Bitcoin is to US Dollars what LiteCoin is to the Euro? That's a totally incorrect comparison. If you want to be accurate, you can say that Bitcoin is like Tiffani Amber Thiessen and Litecoin is like Dustin Diamond.

Your comparison was no where near the intelligence level that I'm on. Comparing the coins to people is fucking retarded and stupid, no need to spit some factual bars when you're not ignorant and have realized that Litecoin provides more usefulness than Bitcoin, but your dumb and old ass is in denial. Not even going to try to argue with you but insult because I know changing old fucks like you is pointless. It's alright though, I give it a couple of years when Litecoin is thriving and your old ass is on verge of leaving this world.

A happy customer indeed!

530  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Litecoin really really cheap right now? Or is it dying? on: February 26, 2013, 05:36:00 AM
My guess is that there's room for at least a few more similar competing currencies to thrive, re: LTC is silver to BTC as gold.

No

Quote
If they function similarly, couldn't there be a ton of value in having LTC as a hedge?

No

Quote
If this is true, why is the price stagnating while BTC is rising so steady and fast?

Because it's not true

Quote
If Litecoin is useless, does that make all other alternative cryptos useless?

Let's rephrase your question: "If Bitcoin provides all the functionality that people need right now, how can another currency provide usefulness?"

Litecoin is crap.

Litecoin is crap? Okay, well USD provides all the functions that people need right now, so how can Euros provide usefulness?

Ended eBay listing, so I'm selling them here for $115 both.

*Gigabyte 6770
*MSI 6770

They both are in good condition and mine the way they're supposed to. Never OC'd or UC'd either, never messed with the settings. The MSI one has been mining since mid July 2012, and the other since mid November 2012.

pls staup it. it's like errywhere.

You started a Ripple thread to complain about how many Ripple threads there are ... irony!

Counter proposition: How about sub forums for alt chains each?

That would be awful. Twenty new alt coins come out every day, and then 20 more die. Keeping track would just be insanity, and there would be those butthurt when their subforum was then deleted on the grounds that the chain is dead, but they would argue that three people use the coin, so its not dead, etc etc.

I say we just put a [LTC], [NVC], [RUC], [EAR] and so on and so forth in threads that aren't just off topic so people can more easily find threads that are relevant to the coins they use.

I think that's what he meant. All new ones and general topics can stay in this main forum. NVC doesn't need one, neither does RUC, or EAR. I think LTC, PPS, and TRC would be more appropriate.

dont forget he has a contract with 420 to buy 700$ worth ltc

Seriously?  $700 amounts to chump-change.  I personally traded out of that much this week just because I happened to have that much and decided the trend had moved away from LTC as a viable "Bitpenny" proposition (I still think we need one, but LTC has failed for a variety of reasons).  I have no interest or investment in the BS politics of the whole "scene".

People don't scam for $700.  Now if you know of someone going for $700M... Or even $700k worth - Let us know - Until then, just noise in the background.

If it's chump-change, please send me $700 worth of coins to either of my addresses:
