5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Moderated Thread [Updates & Discussion][Civilized Discussion] on: April 21, 2015, 07:47:22 PM
I am not in favour of self-moderation.

We were not in favor of it either until it was too much.

I will post my previous post again. Here are the reasons for the moderated thread:

I am 100% for free speech, however, free speech does not entail trolling. I'm afraid people misunderstand this because they also misunderstand what freedom means. Freedom entails some kind of self-imposed limitations. We are free in so far as we don't intentionally harm our neighbor. We simply cannot enter someone's house and kill them or destroy their home and claim we have done it in the name of our freedom. We are not free to do such things and if we do them we have to pay a big price for that. Similarly, with free speech, we are free to express our opinions and thoughts, even disagree and criticize whatever we want but that freedom becomes the seed of destruction when in the name of free speech we allow people to deliberately and intentionally troll and destroy our hard work(without paying any price).

This is not freedom, it looks more like madness and there seems to be a great incentive on the internet for people to do that, because at least for now, they don't have to pay any price for their deeds however dreadful they may be. I am not interested in political correctness, I'm only interested in what is right and what is wrong, and allowing trolls to run free in our "home" seems obviously wrong.

If we have a self-moderated thread it does not mean we will delete every comment which criticizes or disagrees with us. As long as this is done with a minimal degree of decency every discussion is welcomed. But trolling should never be allowed just because the system we use is too dumb to find a way to penalize such behaviour.

This is well said.I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought along this line.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] New PinkCoin (PINK) Moderated Thread | PoS | Fundraiser | Anonymous on: April 20, 2015, 03:26:27 PM
Any Pink holders not on slack feel free to hit me up and ill get you an invite.  Developers are in the coding cave for the next few weeks working their tails off so things are going to be quiet.  Poker issues will be handled as free time permits and the lottery is down as the Foundation is rebuilt!  Feel free to visit the Autochange site https://auto.exchange.pink/register/d2i/ and try out the Pink Bitcoin trading scripts.  They can be used on OKCoin or Finex.  I use Pro on Finex and it is proving to be a very strong trader with the right setting and human intervention.  So many ideas and so much potential with this brand you really don't want to be left out!

I'm so very glad to see some work is ongoing with PINK....I hope it continues to live on!!!I would like to see it on Bleutrade of course.

I like to hang out with monkeys. Sometimes. Not when they pull my shorts.

OMG what would you charge for this service?

Hi Saw. I charge BTC (6 USD) for this service.

For 6 bucks can you make the video a bit longer and add something morphing to a surprise?

Say like the monkey eats the banana, with my referral link on it    https://bleutrade.com/sign_up/10637   then he is driving a super sweet ride wearing goldchains and jamming the radio with monkey B!tch3$ clamoring on him!!!!!Cause he got rich and all from signing up under my referral link!!!

If you did that you could have a superbowl commercial!!!!

 Just an idea,lol

Do you have a feeling BTC has slowed down a bit?

Nope, sure don't.

That's an informative graphical depiction.Perhaps I should refocus my efforts to acquire more BTC.

10  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CryptoPyramid.com! Brand new Bitcoin Pyramid! on: April 03, 2015, 03:36:54 AM
Signature campaign is powerful tool but quite expensive.
I think something like referral content with prize 0.5BTC would be better.
But you should take into account only active referrals (with deposite) attracted after starting of content.

There shouldn't need to be any incentive for people getting referrals, other than the fact that they get paid a lot if their referrals deposit a lot (that's kind of how the system works).  Hopefully that's enough, it's just getting it out there.

If someone would design a few banner ads that people can post on their own sites, that would probably be most effective so that people have a means to get their name out there.

I don't have a banner ad per se, I do have a rotating pyramid on my site though advertising it Smiley

Cynthia,
Nice hologram on your faucet for cryptopyramid
I want to use it for my ref on my faucet  Kiss  Kiss

Hmm I didn't see a hologram?could oyu be more specific to its location please?TY in advance.

http://www.redbarn-studios.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/blurry-vision.jpg

damn, so it looks pretty bad?
What's it supposed to be?

it's an inverted and darkened photo of someone. *cough*
let's change the subject, shall we?

Yeah, why don't we?
Should I keep my coconuts or swap them for some juicy melons?

Doesn't this depend on your...orientation?
Are you implying they aren't synonymous with one another?

Maybe just the word 'nuts' makes me think of testicles? But that can't be right?

I couldn't help but noticed that you penned two statements ending in question marks when none where needed?

You saw what I did there then did you?

Can you explain why is this thread still alive?

 Who would want too?

13  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 31, 2015, 01:21:44 AM
Why shouldn't I care about it?
Are you talking about one special mountain?
Why would you wanna talk about mountains at all?
Have you read Sigmund Freud's theory about mountains and cliffs which are symbols of the male organ ?
Is it worth reading once I complete the "Smell the Valleys" tome?
I dont know there is such book, did you know that valley is a common feminine dream-symbol ?
I know it is a dream symbol, do you know what kind of symbol?
Should we keep dreaming?
So, does it mean you did ever have this kind of dream ? how do you feel ?
Are you Sigmund Freud reincarnated?

"Dear Dr. Freud: Do you still consider me fuckin' nuts for wanting to fuck my table when I witness questions being questioned outta order?"
Did you know that, according to Dalí himself, the only difference between him and a crazy man was that he was not crazy?
Did you know that you;re one hell of a crazy person too ?

In regards to the photo....How long will it take before she begins to tremble?

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have USD 2000 to invest. Should I buy Bitcoins or gold? on: March 30, 2015, 12:16:45 AM
To be honest I wouldn't put money into either Bitcoin or Gold.If I had 2,000 USD to invest right now I would by Oil,and not futures I mean straight out own the barrel. It is what 48.00 a barrel today......I would hold half of it til it hits 60.00 then dump half and reinvest profits at slightest dip.Or at that time by gold.I would never buy BTC ....It is on a death slide IMO and will be replaced by whats known as a Gen 2 hybrid cryptocurrency. But this is just my opinion.Do whatever you like. Tongue
Gen 2 hybrid cryto? What's that?
Is there any post about that?
And... Dose it'll be more "profitable" than bitcoin?
Sorry for questions, but I'm really curious about it
Anyway, Thanks in advance Grin

Gen 2; referring to the innovations in cryptocurrency technology.

Ok,in as brief as I can make it....Bitcoin,Litecoin,and Dogecoin are the most successful cyptos available at this time. They all operate on what is know as a POW(Proof Of Work)blockchain. This is a more complicated process than I wish to disclose here.Be that as it may, they and other cryptos are then called Generation 1 cryptos,in reference to the 1st of its kind.

 A Generation 2,gen 2 for short,is a crypto that uses a combination of a POW blockchain with a POS(Proof Of Stake) blockchain.This combination makes it a hybrid,Some Gen 2 cryptos are 100% POS.

The POS system greatly reduces the transaction confirmation times thus speeding up transactions and also allowing for less energy consumption.Which is a huge plus when it comes to online purchases, and the concept of using crypto debit cards at Point of Sale registers in participating retail stores.

There are other benefits ,such as the individual is able to earn interest on the balance one holds in their wallet,The hybrids offer mining and staking which keeps their networks active....The biggest drawback to Gen 2 POS cryptos has been they are prone to forking. There has been significant advancements to overcoming this problem and the more successful Gen 2's almost never fork.

I do not claim to know which of the Gen 2's will become the dominant coin.I currently hold many different wallets and actively stake 10-12 at a time on a VAIO laptop with no difficulty. However some of the more successful ones available at this time are,Blackcoin,Pandacoin,HTML5,Orbitcoin......The list goes on and on.It is my opinion that the current gen 1 coins we see being dominant today will be obsolete in the near future.I would further state an opinion that the current low price of BTC is a result of the competition it faces with some of the more successful Gen 2's and the market economics of trading on cryptomarkets...

Hope that answers your question. If you'd like to know more start at the websites of the coins I listed above, and check out their forums. If you aren't already aware you will soon find there are hundreds of competitors, and many are being actively traded on crypto exchanges such as Crptsy,Bleutrade, etc
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: March 28, 2015, 02:45:55 AM
Why didn't you spotted it earlier ?
Wouldn't it be "spot"?
Are you the grammar nazi?
I know that it doesn't make sense, but it rhymes with "spot": wouldn't he rather be a grammar Pol Pot?

Ur hoomin grammerz iz naut innaet?

Don't you know how to speak plain English?
17  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Be Honest. We Are Waiting for $100/BTC to buy on: March 28, 2015, 02:37:01 AM
I own some BTC and I'm not planning to buy more at any price. If it goes to $100 I won't invest more in a dying project. If it goes to $1000 I also won't buy more because I won't be able to afford it.

$100 will not mean Bitcoin is dying. If price decline is a measure of dying, then Bitcoin has died several times. And then rose again like Phoenix.

See how many times Bitcoin has 'died':
http://bitcoinobituaries.com/

We are not talking about a simple price decline but a 90% decrease of value of a developing product. Ever heard of such thing happening to a technology that is supposed to be a breakthrough? If this happens it means  all the money that came into the coin in the last 2 years is now out, it's really that simple.

Agreed with last post,I would like to add it isn't the concept that is dead it is its lack of being able to compete with what is desired in the cryptocoin market.I believe BTC cannot compete with the new innovations....the trick is to pick the right one.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Hillary conducted official State business on her private e-mail accountL on: March 28, 2015, 02:30:39 AM
Blah,Blah,Blah....Frakin Clintons, they have broken so many rules and laws they think they are above them and seem surprised that people actually live by them.Oh wait that's most Americans.....WTF
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think 1.00 BTC will worth more than $10,000.00 USD at any time in 2015? on: March 28, 2015, 02:23:04 AM
No I do not see BTC ever attaining that height.I don't believe it will ever break $500.00 again.
20  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: The difficulty HAS BEEN REDUCED!!!! on: March 28, 2015, 02:16:26 AM
maybe its just an accumulation of many people turning their hardware back to BTC mining due to the drop in difficulty?
 Shocked
