21  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitMit needs to step their game up on: January 14, 2013, 10:17:28 PM

at least the coins were released from escrow properly
22  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 185+ BTC - Open Transactions Client (for Grandmas) on: November 07, 2012, 08:25:26 PM
me not. I posted a question if someone works on QA and wanted to look into testing of things, automate them and stuff but it's 'moving slowly'

do you also collect test cases etc?

What did you have in mind in particular ... there is a lot of sample user data data out there demonstrating server contracts, asset contracts, mulitple Nym wallets, basket currency contracts and etc ...

exactly things like that, and do this for every release candidate, and preferably also night builds should be tested.
- checking if all functionality is available and working after each sw change
- compare contracts, wallets, ious created 'now' with samples from old 'good' versions - should produce same results
- list of functionality to be covered by tests/testing

mila : are you saying you could do this? ... or that this is what needs to be done?

between the lines I volunteered. to start breaking it down to doable and measurable things, it
- needs to be done
- needs to be done repeatedly for each build or at least release candidate
- needs to be maintained (test cases, test data, etc)

I could do this. most probably open source it and tutor any other volunteer who'd join the QA
23  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: October 27, 2012, 11:03:04 AM
Yea the suspense is killing me... I was going to buy lots in anticipation of Terramining... then POOF  nothing!

I'm pretty sure the trading will go on in some way. Either as IOUs for shares or directly as signed contracts with cc to issuer.
edit: I do not own any shares of Gigamining, just contemplating future options.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins on a Raspberry Pi on: October 25, 2012, 12:06:22 AM
The rpi is astonishingly slow ...

it's good enough to run screen, samba, web server with little traffic
i was wondering if it can also run some bitcoin related apps.
but even response times for trivial tasks observed in shell take quite some time, i did not dare to start programs that would need more then ~200 mb of memory and then all cpu for swapping. a more powerful hardware might be the way to go. thanks for the link.
however it should be low power consumption pc but with some more computing power.
i like my raspberry pi very much but i could use also a dev board 'with muscles' Smiley the final price (with cables & co) is 4-5 times the price of the raspberry pi though. sorry for off topic post
25  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit on: October 24, 2012, 10:44:31 PM
you could as well just serve an HTML UI and have web browsers on a faster computer control it.

this ^^ html + browser on a faster computer
edit: when it comes to raspberry pi, mine has no screen attached and is not running any window manager
in fact it's behind the wardrobe with only lan & power. local client with remote access and fast and secure and ... Smiley just teasing.

+1 Metta28

Thanks
Hello. Can I buy some with veryfied PP too?

his ask is 5% over mt.gox
otherwise smooth and very good seller (BCB), just PM him or see his last posts, he has his own thread
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins on a Raspberry Pi on: October 24, 2012, 10:22:21 PM
lucky you. enjoy.
i'd like more memory, simply because more memory kicks ass. i'm afraid the ofic client won't run on rpi (my guess, not even tried yet)

I'd love to see on the raspberry thing
1) the ofic client (to relay network data and maintain connections to other nodes in the network)
2) whole bunch of alt clients, especially the light ones, to be able to deal with btc from raspberry pi
3) mining/getwork service for fpga miners
4) p2pool node maybe

I got mine from RS Components (in the UK).

It has been on back order for a couple of months but I think they have increased production of late.

I got mine in less than a week but it's rev.2 with orig memory. now they ship 512 mb ram. which one did you receive?

Well the fact that he cant answer you either may mean that something actually did happen. Either way..

oh, my fault! should have started with 'my story is nothing recent'
i tried to call him earlier this year, not in touch with him already for a few months.
i was just surprised to see him tagged and wonder what happened. Sad
31  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Payment Not Delivered by "R-" for Work Rendered on: October 23, 2012, 06:00:42 PM
...
He messed you over too?

not at all. i like him a lot, had only good experience with him, excellent written communication.
i just tried to call him several times on skype to discuss more efficiently some technical documentation for a possible project.
and since i could not reach him for voice, was lazy to write everything down, we never progressed.
but in no way he 'messed' whatever in my general direction. just that skype did not work for me
i'm surprised he's in trouble. i was not very active here on the forums lately.
and i once tried to purchase coins from him but could not reach him as well.
but no harm done to me.
32  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Payment Not Delivered by "R-" for Work Rendered on: October 23, 2012, 05:12:24 AM
hm, I had no hope in the first place. I tried to call him on skype a few times. not worked out for me.
33  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Payment Not Delivered by "R-" for Work Rendered on: October 22, 2012, 08:05:57 PM

34  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 20, 2012, 02:18:50 PM

thanks.
35  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit on: October 20, 2012, 12:30:58 PM
could you add to the export list of pvt keys also the address?
I mean, the list shows all keys with a datum but if I want to take the keys and use them separately, i have no idea (I do, but it can be a problem) which key holds what amount/is for which address.
thanks (p.s. at the end of the line behind a comment sign add address, please?)
36  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 20, 2012, 12:09:37 PM

Theymos told people to not send back to Nefario!

not kidding...

url to post or it did not happen
37  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario on: October 19, 2012, 05:38:54 PM
It was basically all pirate related income.

thou shall not simplify

maybe the majority of trading volume in last months of glbse were pirate pass through contracts it was not always like that.
the perpetual mining bonds and other mining 'companies' were traded most, at least during first half of the year.
38  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit on: October 18, 2012, 06:20:32 AM
... enjoys testing ...

I hated it for the most part. And I could not find any bugs anyway (I wrote code for money around early 2000). I was 'testing' it all the time anyway during development. It was the QA folks who found the errors (and customers ofc). I'm glad to see you pay attention to it and like what I see.
39  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BOUNTY] 185+ BTC - Open Transactions Client (for Grandmas) on: October 18, 2012, 06:16:43 AM
Anyone working on this? I can do it, but I don't want to waste my time if someone else already started work.

me not. I posted a question if someone works on QA and wanted to look into testing of things, automate them and stuff but it's 'moving slowly'
