Gotta love the trolls! Lol anyway good time to buy more, interestingly enough when i was on poloniex earlier the sell orders were very small most well under 1BTC while most buy orders were over 1BTC indicating either short supply and/or few wanting to sell
The price and market cap suggests otherwise... I think we're officially in a free fall. No telling where the bottom is. Now the million dollar question is, how many coins have seen a resurgent bounce after a tech announcement after the original sky high jump? I can't think of any, bitcoin, litecoin, etc. they've all stayed the same. My fear is that people won't care about new features, as they're on to other coins and have forgotten all about this one.. seen it happen many times. I'm hoping it doesn't happen to us, but the history of other coins suggests that it is very likely that it will. According to latest metrics, like 50% of the traffic to NEM is from Japan. Are "we" (as in non-Japanese) even in control of NEM anymore? The NEM "wild card" is pretty unpredictable. Maybe more Japanese will hop on board and we'll go to the moon?

Any devs left the project?
Looks like price is dumping hard
Sadly they all passed away in a tragic charabanc accident in Tonga. Didn't you get the memo? I'm lead developer now. Unfortunately I can't even count beyond 12, or maybe 13, so it's going to take a while before we're on top again. I heard the party in the Cambodian party house was too much "party", so NEM developers deaded. That Tonga thing was weeks ago.

Using Google translate, I found reference on some Japanese blogs that NEM had a recent article in the physical newsprint of Nikkei? Comments implied it was looking at NEM blockchain, Mijin and Infoteria. Positive piece? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_NikkeiTraffic to NEM IO is almost 50% Japanese now.

Powerful thing I read is ETC will be the longest lived chain. ETH will fork again whenever there is a problem. ETC is timeless and immutable.

I think you meant METH. M = Modified, Modified Ethereum.

How can the market sit back and let a captain of industry wither away like?

I think Apple's Steve Job's health was very concerning to Apple investors. I think investors would just be as concerned about Vitalik Buterin's frail health.

I can't believe people aren't taking this more seriously. Look at the last photo! Does that look like a healthy man to you?!

There are things which can be fixed, like either more fairly distributing upvoting power or at least ensuring the new group of whales aren't upvoting boobs.

Saw this on twitter, brand new photo. Dude looks sicker than a dog! So gaunt! Does he have a terminal condition like cancer or AIDs?

what is with people and all these obvious garbage coins like eth classic?
Then everyone wonders why there is no mass adoption of crypto, people need to stop supporting all this garbage.
NEM is one the few trying to reach for mass adoption.
When the dust settles between ETH and ETC, i think more will move over to NEM. They just need to know that there IS another solution! lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGDac6Xj7-A

Looks like we found one of the people who been buying Ethereum classic.

Most people in crypto think the ceiling is $10 billion, only because Bitcoin - after a devastating MtGox - has sat at $10 billion for a couple of years now. IMHO if any crypto were to hit $10 billion, and there are no fiascos, then we'll see a progressive rise to $XXX,XXX,XXX,XXX marketcap.
Still this is day dreaming right now. Either Japan or Malaysia has to wake up and start buying NEM like crazy for NEM to unseat Bitcoin.
what NEM related projects are based in Malaysia? I've seen people mention it as a potential boom market for NEM before, but I don't know what's going on there (Japan I do) This is what you are after http://nemflash.com/nem-technology-used-remittance-market-transacting-billions-p/According to website measuring metrics, Malaysia has the highest per capita visitors to NEM IO. NEM IO is a top 10,000 website in Malaysia. Dragonfly / Cryptoapex creator is from Malaysia and has been reaching out to a lot of crypto enthusiasts in his area. Japan is a huge population in itself but I feel Malaysia, if NEM could get a foothold there, is relatively wealthy by world standards and it would be able to influence Singapore and the rest of South East Asia. Malaysia is a pretty good market to be growing in.

Because marketcap is so high already and price isn't even 1 cents.. doesn't that mean at .10 cents it would be close to etherum's market cap? What i'm trying to say is.. aren't we already near the top in terms of where the price can go?
No way! lol We have a very high chance of reaching ETH's marketcap. And i wouldnt even say $1 billion marketcap is anywhere near the top either. Looks like if he took one sip of that champagne he might die of alcohol poisoning.
Lets hope it was kids champagne. Or those sparkling apple juices where you can grab 4 for 10 bucks at Costco.

I noticed in his celebration of the hard fork... Vitalik Buterin's bodyfat percentage has dropped significantly. If you don't believe me then look for older photos of him. He was skinny then and he is skinnier now! What is this indicative of? Eating Disorder? Acquired immune deficiency syndrome? Recreational drugs which suppress appetite? Forgetting to eat? Should investors be concerned? *** Update newer photo Vitalik Buterin is looking worse today.

Maybe it's time we try to start another rally on Poloniex? Any ninja news, kept in the dark, which could be useful for this?

Win win situation in terms of capital gain for eth holders, but bad for $eth chain and long term integrity
The integrity side of the equation was already compromised by $150 million in DAO being put at risk. I don't see Bitcoin going back to $1250 or Ethereum to $19 - both had been too discredited by MtGox and DAO events. What people are afraid of, when I make my prophetic prediction, is they're not willing to wait 1-5 years until a legitimate successor emerges. The network effect of crypto, where people baghold Bitcoin and Ethereum, also holds back opportunity for better projects.
