201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Hospital in Aleppo Bombed by US-sponsored "Moderate" Opposition on: December 07, 2016, 11:52:44 AM
Who does what in Syria is difficult to determine from the outside. All we have is news from various parties that are all somehow involved in the conflict. I tend to agree however, that a real moderate rebel force hardly exists in Syria. Most are extremists of various shades.

The war in Syria is a proxy war between the US and Russia. Both powers have interest in Syria because of oil and pipeline projects.
"Pipe line projects" is valid but oil reserve is not ( Syria is on 32th country with oil reserve so not a big deal) The Russian intervention in Syria was about stoping masacre against orthodox christians and other christians( there are more then 1.5 mil orthodox christians, )

absolutely sickening to see this actually going on, but a slight relief in these monsters getting caught, the police should be doing better job, they can not allow this monstrous activity to keep on in this world. Seriously, what is wrong with these people.

If high-ranking people are involved in this scandal, then we can expect the mainstream media to hush it up under the carpet in a matter of days. A few lower level people will be made scapegoats, and the big fish will escape.

It is "3 years old"  but this year they all got arrested, that's the point .. and hope those animals will die in prison!

204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7xGPU + Windows // modding AMD video driver is the answer on: December 06, 2016, 01:53:39 PM
Hello,

I have the following setup running:

6x XFX RX 480
Asrock Pro BTC
Windows 8.1

The problem is, the driver 15.12 is not working for RX 480 anymore, therefore I have to use the newest driver, which at the moment is Crimson 16.11.5.
Five GPUs are working fine, but I can't get the sixth GPU recognized from the system.

I also tried 6xGPU Mod with 16.11.5, but it's not working. It's not an issue related to a clean uninstall, because I've successfully used DDU with a safe restart.

I also tried the drivers 14.4 and 16.1.1, but they are also not able to be installed on the RX 480.
The problem always is, that only the two options "HDMI Audio Driver" and "AMD Install Manager" can be selected, but after clicking the Install button, the installation is finished within a few seconds and ONLY those two items have been installed but no display drivers.

Do you know any fix for getting the sixth GPU to work with the 16.11.5 driver version?

Thanks very much in advance.

Kind regards,
- hwlgraka
For me it works  with Crimson 16.10.2 + 6gpu_mod ( win7 and win 8.1 )
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Maximum Cards Per Rig (Win 10) on: December 04, 2016, 02:12:28 PM
Lets say we have a board which easily supports 7 PCI-E connectors thus 7 cards. But now the question is, what happens in case we take 7 PCI-E multipliers from 1 to 3 and turn our 7 motherboard PCI-E slots into 21 slots. Will Windows 10 and the board detect all of them? If not then what is the maximum achievable config?

First, you are limited by the PCIe lanes that the motherboard/cpu can offer, and skylake sucks there.
Then you are limited by the number of GPU's a consumer grade OS can support, which, for Windows 10 is 8.
Then you are limited by the IRQ addressing of the hardware in the OS which is what causes issues for people using PCIe 1 to 3 splitters and over 7 cards.

Also, even IF you had 21 slots, you would need a 3000W powers supply atleast and that alone would cost more than 3 sets of motherboards, CPU's and 1000W power supplies.
I have personally found 5 cards to be the sweet spot in terms of VFM. Or if you want to maximize resale and use current gen hardware, go for 4 card setups.
I used 7 cards on win10, right now I'm using 6 cards on win 7 ( and other 6 cards on win 10) I'm just testing... But your point of view is valid.

target ico 1000btc and ended December 11th
need 516.2 BTC within 7 days to reach target
is there a plan B if it does not reach 1000 BTC?

The hard threshold is 1000 BTC, if the amount can't be reached, they would cancel the project, I have seen Sigwo replied it here many times before, so no plan B, but it is a big pity, a plan B could be preferable if i were sigwo.
unfortunately there is no  B plan( as you said) but I'm still confident with this project ( even if, there is a risk to lose my precios time with it)

Claymore, we are waiting for the v9.0 version. Any news about it?

Hello guys, how much do you get per r9 380 (4gb) ? I'm getting 130 sol/s with stock settings. Can I improve the performance?

Core to 1000 and memory to 1500 (stock bios) got me to about 140-145 a card. Bios edit I am sure can get more but I had trouble doing the bios mod on my cards
Nice, I'll try those settings tomorrow, even if  my first option is bios mod/edit. Thanks

I,m in the same problem, sent 1750 XCI from my wallet to Cryptopia, ( I used mixin=3) and still waiting for confirmations..
Try with low amount (e.g 100 200 XCI) and mixin = 0. It should be work.

cpu usage 30% with 3 gpu ( 2x 280x and 1 7950), hash increased with ~12 %
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 05, 2016, 10:56:34 AM
HD7950=RX480 with 50 h/s
OMG!
Yap  Grin it's great .. the only problem is that 7950 consume a little bit more then RX480 (  from what I saw , one 7950 consume ~ 270 w)
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 05, 2016, 10:48:45 AM
Miner is working fine but I noticed it disconnects and joins "flypool and nanopool" ....much longer then 90 sec if thats for the dev?

Try to run without  " -allpools 1 " ( 90 sec is too longer) If miner doesn't start then run it again with -allpools 1
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining motherboards for 2017 on: November 05, 2016, 09:27:45 AM
any mobo with 6-8 GPU's suppporing?
Well,  for Intel platform you can try ASUS X99-E WS (not so cheap) and also ASRock X99 OC Formula, ASRock Fatal1ty X99 Professional..

I'm mining ZEC with my FX 8350, getting 20 22 h ( also i'm mining with gpu's)
Anyone using FX 8350 ?
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 05, 2016, 12:10:33 AM
The 7950/7970/280x were always the best mining cards due to their large memory bandwidth.

If it wasn't for the DAG file in ETH they would still hash at 27MH/s.

During the Litecoin days they hashed at 80% of the speed of a 290 and cost only 60% of the price. They were forgotten with ETH mining but are now back and killing RX480s.

Very well said, ( you forgot  280 without x) anyway 7950 is the winer. I'm getting almost 40-42 sol with 7950 ( sadly because I've sold few of them, 3 months ago)
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 04, 2016, 11:04:10 PM
For those who are more experienced with mining. What would happen if i increase the Memory Clock From 1250 to 1575. I noticed an increase of around 20 sols from 215 to 235. But i'm thinking this could damage or low the life expectancy but i dont know.

Should i keep it to the max or go back to the default settings? My rig is a 6 x hd shappire 7950.

Thanks
most likely the driver will crash and also the miner, you need te increase the memory clock little by little to see it where is the "limit" , good luck and happy mining
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v1.0 on: November 04, 2016, 06:22:40 PM
I'm getting 95-107 sol with two cards ( 280x and 7950) using driver v.16.10.2. No crashes, very stable ! Thanks

Why is my web wallet stuck at 61% for more than a day now, you guys should make things easy for users, this is not my first time of using a web wallet but this is the first time I'm having issue like this using it

sync stuck at certain block height---a typical issue that can be solved by upgrading

I want to confirm this.....that.....

I am using both the web and windows wallet in windows 10. 64 bits,Xfinity - 50 mbs with no problems but just sometimes it crashes thats all.

Same problem here, also I've tried on Win 7 64bit, Win 8.1 64bit  and this problem persist. It crashes after 10 20 min of running.
