761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter and Google joining war against crypto on: March 24, 2018, 05:26:22 AM
Well it looks like more great news for all of us (rolls eyes)...

In a new, unconfirmed report, Twitter will ban all crypto related ads in 2 weeks. This coming on the wake of Facebook banning crypto related ads.

Read more here: https://www.coindesk.com/twitter-will-ban-cryptocurrency-ads-in-two-weeks-says-report/

Also, it appears in June of this year that Google will change it's policy regarding financial services ads, and that means a ban on crypto related ads. This is going to absolutely tear the market to shreds even more than it is now. What a shame.

I hope all this shit will eventually be reversed because if this is a sign of things to come, we might end up with the blockchain, but without new cryptocurrencies/ICOs. I hate all the scams going around but some of these moves are over the top. This type of thing by Google may be too much for this infant industry to handle. This really sucks.

You can just Google this topic to find many sources, but here is a good write up to get you started:
https://medium.com/@Michael_Spencer/google-will-ban-crypto-ads-and-it-will-kill-icos-as-we-know-them-e0cb714f8d45

And the direct article from cointelegraph:
https://cointelegraph.com/news/google-to-ban-all-crypto-related-ads-starting-june-2018

So yeah, this could be a pretty rough entire year for crypto...not with a bull run in site. I, like many of you, wish for nothing but a turn around and optimistic future for the crypto space. I am not trying to spread fud, or create panic, I am only trying to make people aware of the news.

Possibly benefits of these bans:

- Reduction of scammy ICOs
- Reduction of paid phishing scam site ads on Google
- Increase in bounty pay for social media sites
- increase in quality crypto related content, products and services
The report has already been confirmed. Twitter in going to ban all crypto related ads following Google and Facebook in this decision. Google will take actions upon ads related to crypto currencies and ICO in the start of June month.

We have already seen quite big crash in the market recently due to these social media banning crypto news and due to governments of countries trying to break down on ICO’s and trying to regulate them. According to me its great that crypto ads are being banned, now people will invest in established and well know crypto assets rather than entering ICO’s and new projects.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The Price Of Bitcoin Increase Forever? on: March 23, 2018, 06:42:37 AM
If the price of bitcoin will increase forever. Then the price will suerly increase the more people exposed to bitcoin the more the price increases. Or if demand continues to increase and supply is constant then yes.
There are different phases in which the increment of the prices will happen, right now the increment is all on the credibility of the crypto currency and the bitcoin with no input from the different forums of the world which are working for the people.

In next phases the governments will start doing things for the ease of the bitcoin and then the price will rocket shoot because of the trust from the governments as well. In any case, this increase of the price will stop in the end but it will take time.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do countries and banks keep dumping on Cryptocurrency? on: March 23, 2018, 06:10:56 AM
They are afraid of the tech and the fact that it is decentralized means that no one person or organization can control it which means that they can no longer  control our money and what we can do with it.
Every country has some issues regarding the crypto currency and major problems are being faced by both the types of the following countries.

First world countries who have no issues regarding the deficiency or less usage of their own currency are more about the taxation process of the bitcoin whereas the third world countries are afraid because the people are converting their black money to the bitcoin and money laundering is feared. Hopefully this all will be over when they will sit with some serious recommendations from the experts.
764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Target Market of Bitcoin on: March 22, 2018, 07:09:49 AM
I think the true target market for me with bitcoin in the long term would be the cliche phrase "Banking the unbanked". But I really do think this is true. Smart phones now are everywhere and this is basically all you need along with access to the internet to now transfer funds outside of the banking system so I think this is both the most ethical target market and also potentially the most profitable.
We all know the worth of bitcoin in much better way and that there is no way of doubting the capabilities of the bitcoin and that its power to change the living style of anyone why is not having enough of the money to have a better living for now.

Every single person who can know about bitcoin after some time or knows about bitcoin can invest his money into bitcoin and that bitcoin can help him in having a better living.

765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good News!! Coin value is increasing again!! on: March 22, 2018, 06:35:55 AM
The price of coins is not stable in price value,  it's the happy moments to reach the goods price. The confirmation times are crazy and the price volatility is horrible. I mean, who wants a currency that on one day you could use. Most of these coins have little to now value, save for Ethereum which is actually used to build other coins and crypto kitties.
Well I don’t know which coins are you referring to while saying the confirmation time is crazy, cause as far as I know, the transactions takes place in minutes in crypto currencies nowadays and also in some its just matter of seconds. I don’t think volatility is a horrible thing for crypto currencies and its holders.

Volatility is in fact a blessing in disguise. For you, it might be horrible, but for some of us that are good in trading, its like a blessing to earn significant profits from time to time.
766  Economy / Economics / Re: Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years on: March 21, 2018, 07:50:10 AM
I would have done it easily. I am now running on my 4th year of btc holding Wink
Holding of the bitcoin is the easiest thing to do and is in fact the most profitable thing to do as well but the only problem is not all of us are this much patient that they can wait for such a long period of time and at the end, they decide to sell all their bitcoins even if the market value is dropping down.

You need to make yourself understand that holding is the only thing which can change your life and then things will be much easier for you to manage.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantages of bitcoin on: March 21, 2018, 06:36:00 AM
Bitcoin is the king of all coins so it has more advantages than any other coin. First one is the strong growths. Just give it some more time
Bitcoin is the biggest giant or you can say monster of the crypto market. There is no way any other coin can surpass bitcoin in any way.

Altcoins are as usual dependent on bitcoin for their development and market growth. I am sure in the upcoming months, bitcoin is again going to play hard in the market. It is just demanding some more time from the investors and supporters and I think we should have no issue in doing so.
768  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think HODL is bad for your health? on: March 20, 2018, 08:17:42 AM
I find it kinda hard to HODL when the marketing is bearish... there is a lot of stress:p
Do you think going HODL might be bad for the health?Smiley
It's unhealthy for those who have anxiety and the people have less patience in holding. if we think again the bearish is temporary because the market is on panic due to the recent news.
Without patience, it is really difficult to hold on for a long duration of time. But this is also the only way to make good amount of profits through crypto coins.

Otherwise it is not possible to increase the capital. Besides, it should not be very difficult to hold a coin because there is actually zero worked involved in this act. All a person needs to do is forget about his collection for some time and then come back after taking a long break.
769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin become a daily currency??? on: March 20, 2018, 07:46:26 AM
I think bitcoin will just become a daily currency if and only if people will accept that bitcoin can become their daily currency. Because If one person considers it as a currency and the other person won't, then it's a conflict in between the two person. If all people will consider bitcoin as daily currency, then it won't be a problem bitcoin becoming our daily currency.
Bitcoin is no doubt very much capable of becoming the daily currency but this is something which cant be done in a week or so. This will certainly take lot of time and that it will not be an easy thing for bitcoin to do. For this, the first thing which needs to be done is the declaration of the bitcoin as legal currency and the acceptance of the government. If government takes positive steps, then this can be done.
770  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Franchise of a crypto-currency bank on: March 17, 2018, 09:04:18 AM
Uuhm…. I don’t usually support ideas that has to do with Bitcoin bank, I even regard them as scam. I also don’t see the difference between having a Bitcoin wallet and the supposed Bitcoin Banks., cause they will all mostly have the same thing to offer their users. Some wallets even offers features that allows users to use debit cards.

I’m not saying this is scam, nope this is legit from the I’m seeing and you made a perfect description by taking your time. Others would have just said rubbish and expect people to get into such. I love the way you took your time to explain this and this is quite different from others I have been seeing, it has got lots of things to offer. Will be pretty good and I hope to use your service sometime.
771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google to BAN crypto advertising-includes Youtube on: March 17, 2018, 08:35:28 AM
I don't think it will shut down crypto youtube channels only the advertising at the beginning. If their content is about crypto they are only giving their option on the matter. So it's freedom of speech. The same as facebook did it was only for paid advertisement.
Exactly, there is a difference between "promotion" and "talking about thing you are interested in". I think youtube crypto-reviewers will be the last to fall - if they indeed fall, because there cannot be restriction on what to discuss in an open forum. If anyone proves, that some reviewer promotes (instead of reviewing) ICO, then he may also fall under ban. At least that's how I read the situation.
Exactly the point I was looking for. There is surely difference between promotions/advertisements and sharing of knowledge/analysis/predictions. Google plans on banning the advertisements that pop’s out about crypto and ICO’s and also intends to do the same on youtube which usually pops out at the start of a video.

They surely wont ban the channels providing knowledge about crypto currencies and blockchain, it wont be banning of content, it will be banning of advertisements that will occur in start of June.
772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bad Psychology of Traders on: March 17, 2018, 08:06:51 AM
yes, self-control is crucial to making profit in trading as in any other financial activity.
You can have great skills and knowledge but without self-control they are useless.
We keep saying self-control but the truth is that no one can have self-control if they do not have any knowledge on how to trade and that is where the main issue is always going to set out from.

There is no way emotion will not rush into trading if the person is just busy gambling because in that case, the only thing they are doing at the end of the day is to enter any position and expect luck to take its cause but it is not like that.
773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ETC will BOOM again on: March 17, 2018, 07:05:43 AM
In mining, it is in third place and the price has grown to $ 40, but now it has fallen to 20.

I think together with the growth of bitcoin and the ЕТС should grow.
But in fact the coin is useless.
True. It might grow with bitcoin as the market rises, but not as much as other potential coins. ETC surely is useless as it has no decent technology like many other altcoins in the market and nor does it have any utility or application in the real world.

It is said that Most of the altcoins will die till the end of this year and according to me ETC will be the one among them because now people don’t follow hype anymore, they follow technology. Only the coins with real world applications such as XRP, NEO and GNT shall survive. All the rest shall bleed and die if they don’t develop their technology and prove of some utility in the future.
774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you miss about crypto? on: March 17, 2018, 06:32:09 AM
What do you miss about crypto world?

I miss that they don't accept it already in real world. For coffee or so...

Me too, same with you bro. And also miss the cheapest price ever. This is very sadly missed thing.

Quote
We are still in investment state.
It's no problem if we still in investment state, slowly crypto will take all sectors in the world. As you seen, a lot of ICO with their good project in specific sectors.
So, I still believe crypto can do that, change the world.
Haha. Not just you, I am sure that everyone on crypto community misses the opportunity of buying at the cheapest price. Though the best time for buying has gone, these are still the good ones to buy as the market is in a dip/correction and is most likely to recover in the upcoming months and see a bullish trend. So, this is the time one must invest in cryptos if he missed the train for the first time.

Indeed, there are lot of ICO launching, but very less of them have real use and purpose and the rest are just scam projects to rip off people’s money. Believe in coins that have real world applications.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling addiction a disease? on: March 17, 2018, 06:00:40 AM
Addiction is a psychological disorder so it can be called as disease.

If someone really addcited to gambling then he can't get out from that by himself he need to take medications to recover from that so it is a disease. So people need to be aware of while gambling and keep time limit to avoid addiction. If the bad run continues then leave the gambling on that day and comeback again.

Yes, gambling addiction can be considered a disease because the victim will need special care if he wants to cure it. But there are levels in addiction. For those who are at the lowest level, the possibility to cure an addiction will feel easier than those who are at an acute one.
Yep,there are different levels in addiction. If someone finds that he is getting addicted in the early stages then he can get out from that easily and can continue to play the gambling as well but the serious addict people need to completely stay away from the any types of gambling to get out from it or else it will make them more worse.
It is better to not get addicted at all and trying to control yourself before even starting to gamble, than to start controlling yourself when you find out that you are getting addicted as you may never know, you would have entered the addictive channel already and still think you are trying to battle it.

It is not an easy thing to be in that zone, as it is war against your own body, spirit and soul and it takes a lot to get out from it.
776  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin down ( Mt. Gox is dumping ) on: March 17, 2018, 05:27:35 AM
Bitcoin price will likely Surge as Mt.Gox Sell Off Paused Until september according to this article - https://www.newsbtc.com/2018/03/11/bitcoin-price-will-likely-surge-as-mt-gox-sell-off-paused-until-september/. This is a good chance to Hold until that time comes when he decide to sell his Bitcoin again.
Oh, great news, and that is apparently what should bring some light back into the market. I wonder why this is not being sold off the counter rather than dropping it on the exchanges, but I guessed now that it has been paused, we should see some movement pretty soon and see where the market leads us before September. At least, they have been able to finally tame him. Thanks a lot for sharing this news.
777  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the end for bitcoins ? on: March 16, 2018, 10:27:54 AM
Different issue is coming out  against Bitcoin because of it's growing popularity but I think  it will not . Everything in this world has its end but bitcoin will not end today or tommorrow as long as people use Bitcoin and engage on it.we know that BTC is a big opportunity for everyone  and more people are going to adopt for their future and their needs.
I will agree to some parts of the message and not the complete part. Bitcoin will remain in place until and unless some better system comes up and change the dynamics of the economic system of the world. We have seen very less systems in the history which have taken over from the previous one, just like fiat currency once was very innovative.

Bitcoin has good reputation over the fiat currency and when some other system will provide better reputation and features than crypto currency, than surely this world will move towards that particular currency.
778  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODLERS are preventing prices going down further on: March 16, 2018, 09:57:36 AM
HODLERS doesn't want to get their profit below their expected price. Like in bitcoin, we've seen it moved up rapidly and it reached ATH. By the time it went down further, there's no other reason for a HODLER to sell at the bottom so everyone is holding now. And also thanks to those whales who are preventing the further dip because they are the ones that is giving big impact to the market.
True. There is no one that would like to sell their holding for lose, everyone in the crypto market is here to make profit. There are some weak hands in crypto world though, that usually panic when the price drops and do panic sell and regret later.

But experienced people usually hold their coins until they have profit. Though, whales are responsible to hold the price of bitcoins, but many times they are also responsible for the dumps and dips that are seen in the market. We don’t need to thank them, they just manipulate the market as per their needs to gain profit.
779  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit Cycling on: March 16, 2018, 09:26:32 AM
So I was interested in how to obtain merit and so I looked at a few profiles of members with a large amount of merits (250+) and saw that a few seemed to be sending merits backwards and forwards to each other repeatedly. I’m assuming they were either to friends or his alts but surely this is against BCT rules and should be cracked down upon?
That is a whole lot shitty but since you cannot prove anything, I guess there is nothing anyone can be able to do about it. At the end, the merit still favors those who have legendary alts with a lot to dash out but at the end will only end up giving it to the person they feel like if they want to do at all, but at the long shot of it, whether they are giving it to alts, or cycling among friends, what can anyone do? If you see anything fishy though, you can always report on the accusation thread of anyone once you have a proof.
780  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin?? on: March 16, 2018, 07:43:14 AM
Altcoin definitely, look at coins like Zero and you can see how much better it is than Bitcoin, there's also a lot of active development, which bitcoin lacks.

I don't think bitcoin lacks active development at all.

 16,371 commits
 10 branches
 192 releases
 517 contributors

Looks ok to me?
Bitcoin doesn’t lack development at all, it just lacks the speed of development. The upgrades for bitcoin usually take quite much time to come, than the other altcoins that keep on developing their underlying technologies more often. This has led bitcoin to slow down in the race.

If bitcoin has to prevail and hold the number one position in the market, its development team will need to work hard. Lightning network was promised quite long ago in bitcoin blockchain, but it has taken quite a long time since then.
