I have seen some open-source exchange scripts, and I decided to run one if the hosting prices is affordable (few dollars per month). However I only found something called 'shared hosting' and I'm not sure if I can run a coin-client there (and hence an exchange).
VPS is too expensive for me, so don't give me suggestions about using it.

I see, from when yobit added the donation button on the freecoins page it went from being something calm to a pure tempest, there is even usdsatoshi and rubsatoshi at the moment and there was even another btc giveaway but of only 2 sat, and anyway at least you didn't caused a direct dump of amber and this must be taken into consideration
Of course I won't let the free-coiners to get a chance to dump, and even withdrawing their earnings (yobit charges 0.002 coin of withdrawal fees on almost all coins). BTW the USD and RUB giveaways were also started by me  The USD giveaway have 33300 spots and the RUR giveaway have 427106 spots (assume no one have added funds to them). I have also started the AMS, DOGE, POWER, SWEET, CCB and CAPT giveaways, with total amount of less than 200 satoshi in ALL the giveaways. P.S. We're going off-topic now, please stop the discussion on freecoins. |

Amber ended in the freecoins page of yobit, somebody is giving away his ambers but at the same time seems that didn't given too much because is only 0.00000001 every 24 hours.... maybe at the end the total will be only 1 amber who knows....
It's me who've used 3307 Ambertoshi (0.00003307 AMBER) to play with the freecoins donate section (and I've started plenty of others too). price or market stuck because investor still waiting a good news about the dividends

And i didn't checked if on yobit the giveaway of amber is still going on or not and if the ammount increased or decreased... anyway we need to be ready for anything at this point even if will be good or bad The amount is always 1 Ambertoshi and it haven't ended as of now. |

Now we have a little issue: how can someone spend the coins, perform a transaction without a main server? The windows wallet it's not an option, it's heavy.  It is not heavy, it takes less than 1GB of the storage; however syncing is the biggest problem, I maybe can't get a single block even for opening the wallet for few hours due to no connection |

perhaps the answer is buried in the other 160 pages of this thread  but does anyone know: 1. if is there a way to see how many CAPTcoin is in existence? 2. when is the last coin created estimated to happen (my estimate is about 12 years from now - is that about accurate?) 3. what is the transaction fee? 4. after than last coin is generated, how does the network keep going (is the transaction fee just divided amongst the POS participants? or how does that work) good to know these things before getting involved in any significant way with this coin thanks in advance! @Ambercoindev, can you reduce the bitcoin price of round 6? 21000 satoshis is equivalent to 8 cents according to the current price, which the price was intended to be only 5 cents. More amber more more amber dump it! lol I'm waiting.
I'm waiting to get 10k too I've got about 1k AMBER when the price is dumped to under 10000 satoshi, and I'm still buying a lot |

Staffs and mods are assigned when someone have reported a lot of posts correctly, and there are vacant places in some boards (however all boards have mods now, and no new ones are needed for now).
Also if someone stated that they wanted to be a staff, they will most likely mot to be assigned (as people would think that they are scammers demanding trust and won't give trust).

I have just seen the Chinese presentation, and see the poor translation (seems from Google translator) of it. However, I've seen the total coins is 50M instead of 49M. This problem exists in both English and Chinese versions (and most probably Russian version too, however I don't checked it as I don't know Russian). I could re-translate it for some Ambercoins. Dev please let me know if you need this. BTW thanks for the dumpers, I have got total 600 AMBER from 6000-10000 satoshi |

The problem is: I have a full node of an altcoin, and I want to solo mine with CPU at first (and it's very slow that I can't generate a single block). Also I don't want to pay fees to pools as I can generate tens of blocks when joining it. Then I decided to rent some miners on rental sites to solo mine for me. However my full node is only on a computer. How can I do?

If the dividend payout ran tomorrow, then it isn't late. Also, if AmberCoinDev pays out this dividend, this marks the total dividend paid out exceee the amount of investment, hence proving it is not a ponzi scam. Myself have bought almost 400 AMBER from this low price by withdrawing all funds from all sites. If I got a single satoshi, I would send them to exchange and buy AMBER too. Why there aren't others taking the profit? |

I posted that to Mining board previously, so a moderator moved it here and it should be the most suitable board. That is the data that is being hashed. But what you are probably hashing is the ascii text, not the data as hex bytes. You need to hash it has hex bytes, so in most command line hashers, there should be something like a binary option which will read that hex string as hex bytes. Here is a site that I use that can hash the hex bytes as binary and it returns multiple hashes. http://www.fileformat.info/tool/hash.htmI have used that site before I posted here and got that hash. |

I have seen this page: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Block_hashing_algorithm and seen bitcoin is hashing a 80 byte block header. However, when I gather information for block 379726, then I got a hex string of 00000003000000000000000004174cb956530251b08d70ae38fb0c028c73a2c7a859a676d9b8780 c956fa5af44815a35c2067b3b4d9639a8796faa770182dd76ed70366d5625fd4218120f14c3ef30 f4 with hash of 9fd1d6cbabefb73bfc51568c3d5eac394f6b1c3b04377e51684a88aa3951ef6b. This mustn't be what bitcoin is hashing (bitcoin hashes have many leading zeros). Then what exactly bitcoin is hashing? Sorry if being in wrong section. |

People who have asked this kind of question normally won't be trusted, as they would be marked as people who simply wanted to gain trust.
People would identify who is buying trust (most for scamming), and they would not give trust to those users even if they had a successful trade.
However people would give trust to someone who don't request a positive trust rating (at least I would).

I've seen rounding errors in mining.
Few days ago, I've mined some coins and have some limit left. I've calculated and I should get **.****32 coins at the end. However after I mined all, the result is **.****25, which is 7e-6 missing.
It is not a big amount as of now, but it would significant when the price goes up! Please fix it.

Hi MCZ community,
This is my first post here, although I am not new to MCZ. I mined more than 4 coinz out of the limit of about 6.236 coinz throughout the day (by walking faster than usual), with a mobile 3G network so that my coinz can be synced. Then I finally got to home and connected my own Wi-Fi, and going to do some small shaking (to maximize the amount of coinz I got). However I found that my limit is reset to 6.234840 and I can mine extra 6 coinz again (though I can't shake 6 coinz). The time haven't passed midnight (it's 8PM here) and I think it is a bug (however I've been doing this for a long time and no such bug is found). Please fix it.

Well, I think that only reporting posts is not enough for being a moderator, a more important factor is having trust (or a untrusted person would have control of everyone's posts, and he may scam!). OP is a member in default trust depth 4, with black trust when viewed in default trust (depth 2), however I don't think this trust rating is enough. At least the member needs to be in depth 2/3 and dark green trust in depth 1/2 to be very trusted here.
