1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚀 [ANN] 👾 [LIVE GAME] 👹 World of Ether - 🚀 PLAY NOW 🚀 on: January 24, 2019, 12:53:14 PM
I'm reading on Discord that the game is dead and the devs are no longer paying rewards...

Is the true ?   Huh Huh Huh

What is stopping me uploading the entire Beatles back catalogue?
If I can upload it, can I make money from it?

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: May 30, 2017, 01:19:39 PM
The potential Ethereum is getting clearer to people! Just as Bitcoin stayed! There will come a time when Ethereum will not depend strictly on Bitcoin for value! What's not the case and what will happen if there is PoS?

Doesn't that worry you its unlimited supply and inflation may keep prices low? Or does no one care about that?

After PoS implementation a 0.8 % - 1 % annual inflation rate will be introduced to ensure the validators incentive and low tx fees. That inflation would not even be enough to cover for the lost and burned coins, so sorry but your statement is completely wrong and ignorant. Even if there are no lost coins, 1% annual inflation is ridiculously low in any economic model if you know a thing or two about economics and currency. Therefore Ether will not be currency. Stable coins on Ethereum will be the currencies and ether will simply be the fuel to run the network. If everything runs smoothly (which I highly doubt by the way) those 200 $ per ether would seem like peanuts. There would be a huge squeeze on the price probably hitting crazy highs before people realize that you don't need expensive fuel in order for the system to work. At a certain point the price of ether will most probably be on par with the price of Bitcoin - that is before the second dotcom bubble which will be even bigger and history will remember it as The Great Crypto Bubble Burst of 2020.

Could anyone ELI5 EXPLAIN why ETH is valuable and deserve to be 50% of bitcoins value?

Short answer: Due to economical and technological reasons.

Long answer: If you are negativelly biased towards Ethereum then you are a simple minded, ignorant person. Usually those are the ones that believe in cults, religions and have no oppinion of their own. These people are not the kind of people that drive the world forward. Bitcoin is not only about one specific blockchain. Bitcoin is an idea. A technological revolution. Like the fire. Like the wheel. Like electricity. Like the internal combustion engine. Like the internet. The genious idea and endless applications that can evolve out of it cannot be limited to a single chain. Vitalik originally wanted his ideas on Bitcoin. Seeing that the specific ecosystem is not flexible enough to develop quickly enough to incorporate his ideas, he decided to make a new blockchain. A different one. A better one. In nature this is called evolution. He then proposed his whitepaper and EVERYONE was invited to the party. With as little as 1 dollar invested back in the ICO you'd have good pocket money today. The thing is there were certain "religious" blind people that think the only way to go is Bitcoin. WRONG. The blockchain will produce many more ideas like Bitcoin, Ethereum and others. Ethereum will for sure one day have 10 times the marketcap of Bitcoin. Bitcoin could still cost 100k. Who knows - maybe there will  be an even better crypto, to emerge out of nowhere and overtake both. As of today Ethereum is more secure, more decentralized, with better governance, faster, cheaper, with far more capabilities and huge potential. Don't mistake my trust in it with fanatism. I own bitcoin and bitcoin is fantastic. I own ethereum and ethereum is even better. Both can fail. However the future looks a little brighter for ethereum, considering bitcoin is in a political nightmare right now.

Cheers Wink
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund - Decentralized Solutions on Gamecredits Mobile Store on: May 05, 2017, 12:10:42 PM
GameCredits is one of the best crypto currencies out there. I've reccomended it to friends and invested heavily into it myself. My level of trust is still high and it remains #3 in my long term crypto investment portfolio.

However this MobileGo ICO has been conducted extremely unprofessionally so far and this undermines the developers team reputation. It is ridiculous as the first 8 hours the site was permanently down for me. After that I've had a vacation and planned on investing in the ICO today before the big bonus expires. And now I can't set up a profile with the ICO. "Setting up" loading for a few hours. Reading all the complains here on the topic I just can't help but feel that this is not a loss for GameCredits, but a HUGE missed opportunity to turn some heads. With an ICO on such a scale being executed so ridiculously amateurish, how do they deal with the incoming real life application and scaling issues. How would EA for example trust them as a payment option if they can't run a proper ICO ?

Very disappointing. I hope they fix it in the few remaining hours... Huh Undecided Cry
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: April 26, 2017, 04:22:24 PM
Is there a rich list in the blockchain explorer? It would be super bullish if we could observe the devs' healthy stack of 15m GameCredits untouched in the last few days...

Another question - can we invest GameCredits into the MobileGo ICO directly from poloniex wallets ?

Thanks

Thanks for the response. Will definitely check your slack channel. To be honest this community needs more people like you. I already had 8k of this coin on polo as I saw potential the moment I saw "game" in front of a coin. Gamers are extremely sharp and quickly adapt to new tech. Based on your answers alone I will now double my investment and plunge into deeper research about it. It looks promising and there is that ethereum and monero voice inside of my head that this will bring me x10 times my investment even if it does not truly ever succeed to reach its biggest goals.

Best of luck !

Monero is great and I've heavily invested into it

That's hard to verify because I don't see your name here.

https://getmonero.org/getting-started/donate/hall-of-fame

If you are not satisfied with the pace of development, get on that list along with the rest of us who are heavily invested.

Wait what ? Cheesy Cheesy  Hhahaha. So you're trying to imply that this is a proper governance model ? Donation based ? Cheesy Oh, my...

Congrats to all the tards who did not see the potential in the project early on and now spend time and energy consumed by anger and hatred towards the ones who did. Once again I'll ask you all - where were you at ICO ? Who forbid you from entering there ? Was it the crypto illuminati or your lack of understanding and intuition for what the future of the blockchain technology is ?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: March 17, 2017, 12:22:10 PM

Why not just take the time to research this project urself. Its not that hard, all the info is out there!

If you can't answer any of the relevant questions why bother replying to me ? Are you a parrot ?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: March 17, 2017, 07:46:51 AM
There have been a lot of questions in the past, but we're in a period of excitement.

But we've answered the premine question and the amount we hold many times. We own around 15% million of the total supply, with several team members having bought good amounts of the coin on their own. You must understand that the current team took over development about a year after the coin began. (The first coin started in 2014 as gamerscoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=481173.0 that's why you think we own so much)The original devs sold their coins thinking GameCredits would fail. The GameCredits community owns the hefty majority of coins.

Now why wouldn't someone come around and out preform us? Because we've been developing our products for 2 years, have literally thousands of connections in the gaming world, and members of our team with years of experience as incredibly successful developers. We're about a month away from releasing the first ever cryptocurrency based mobile store. This isn't something you can whip up in just a couple months, it took years. We also released our entirely proprietary API which allows ANY game developer to accept GameCredits as a method of payment, another thing years in the making. What we have developed could potentially be done, but we are confident given our heard start and the years upon years of experience our team has, we will come out on top.

We're here to ask questions. I agree this bitcointalk can be a bit relaxed, but that's because our community drills us everyday on Slack and other platforms. But with that said, we've gotten plenty of intense questions on here in the past, and we're always ready to answer. Please feel free to drill us some more. I assure you, we are willing and able to take it.

I'm here to give you straight up answers. Many of our faithful community members came here just like you asking the questions many people didn't, and they left pleasantly surprised.

Thank you ! Here we go...

1. Why is your reddit community forum private and invitation based ? https://www.reddit.com/r/gamecredits
2. How much exactly do current developers own ? 15 % of supply or 15 million ? How much do original developers own ? Why is there no proper rich list out there ?
3. If you own 15 million coins why not use some of those for the marketing purposes instead of creating a new token ?
4. The new token is mostly to be used as a fund raiser for marketing is that so ? Also I get it it will have smart contract functions ?
5. Don't you feel like it's over complicating things ? I mean if you need smart contract functions as well as a payment option why not have 1 token for it all ?
6. By having a second token are you admitting that gamecredits token itself is not functional enough ?
7. What is going on with the gamecredits blockchain in terms of developement ? Why is there so very little info on the blockchain technical aspects ? Can it scale if mass adoption occurs ?

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency on: March 16, 2017, 08:00:24 PM
Monero is great and I've heavily invested into it, however I don't see it getting enough pace of developement, enough funds (giving incentive) for developement and dealing with the scaling problems when the network actually gets big in a few years. In a way it is not Bitcoin 2.0 it is Bitcoin 1.5...

User friendliness, marketing, scaling. Monero's governance needs to deal with these and it can't cause' it's poor as it is. Get some models going to get those funded and governated please. The code is law, but it's not artificial intelligence, thus cannot solve real world implementation problems by itself.

The way Monero is today, if community does not act before it gets full of retards, a day will come this will be nothing different than anon bitcoin, which is sad. Because an anon bitcoin can only hope to make it to a slightly better level than bitcoin. And we already see other cryptos flying by with inovation in government and fundraising for developement.

I'm drunk, so sorry for typos...
Cheers
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 16, 2017, 07:51:59 PM

Pump and dump coins don't need wallets. You keep them on your exchange account until you dump them.

I can't believe there still are retards out there, who actually believe ethereum is a pump & dump. I mean Vitalik wanted those features on Bitcoin itself. Also the ICO was open to anyone. Jesus...

Go get a beer and loosen up watching stagnating bitcoin getting passed by 3 or 4 other cryptos in the next couple years or so.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★ GameCredits - The future of in-game monetization ★★★ on: March 16, 2017, 07:43:40 PM
How much of this coin was premined if any. I can check in coinmarketcap that one year after launch around 50 000 000 of the supply was already mined and only then was this ANN topic released. So to me personally what I see is devs sitting on more than 70 % of the supply. How much do devs own ? I don't see anyone here asking or questioning this as if is a cryptocurreny. It is more or less treated as a company. I don't mind a company being successfull but what does it have to do with crypto-world onovation. If you need Ethereum based toke, what prevents another Ethereum token without the burden and complication of having a completely different blockchain to come out and completely outperform your idea of in-game use of cryptocurrency ? When I read along the pages it's all songs and honey and this rings a bell. I got 2k of this just for the fun but can't bring a serious investment, because no real questions are asked.

Cheers and good luck anyway.
