Who cares what Charlie Lee thinks?

His claim to fame was driven by:

CTRL-C
CTRL-P

And litecoin was born
He's not an innovator and apart from his mouth mouthing off, doesn't contribute that much

This gives me a feeling of "surprised, but not surprised".

2017 is going to be a huge year for Dash.  Every entrenched interest is going to turn their guns on us. The semi-irrelevant schmucks like Charlie Lee are just the beginning.  We are going to move from a situation where Dash is *never mentioned*, to being constantly attacked by the big names of Bitcoin.   They are not going to give up the position of premier cryptocurrency easily, but the cracks in their empire are beginning to show.  Just have a look at this thread:

This user is always ignored.

Such naive idealism from our passionate would-be saviours.

I see Dash as being much more like Apple than, say, Debian, and I know very well which is a better investment.

Decentralization has both good and bad consequences.  If you turn it into an object of worship, then you have joined a cult.

Is stock ownership in Apple "decentralization theater"?  Were Jobs & Woz mere cult leaders?  Are investors, product managers, engineers, salespeople and the whole infrastructure of Apple just an evil hierarchy?  Is Apple a scam?

Frankly, I am not on board with the whole "there are no leaders" thing.  Leadership and hierarchies are necessary to get things done.  So far, Evan and the few people who make the big decisions are doing an excellent job, and the noisy complaints of children who are butt-hurt that they don't get an equal say is very boring, to say the least.

Come on people, came on, keep letting Dash to dawn on you!   Cheesy

Well, far beyond that, if you wish to open your mind to truths which justify the aristocratic values which align with Dash more than with other politically inspired cryptocurrencies (consciously or unconsciously) you should listen to this talk by Jonathan Bowden, and no, I do not believe in pandering to the lowest common denominator, and nor should you:

I have 10 masternodes for sale. Anyone want to buy them?

I have ten goldmines for sale, anyone?  Anyone?!  I can't hear you.  Oh, you think I'm full of shit.  Cheesy

Why is Dash skyrocketting ?

My guess is that some large bitcoin holders are beginning to believe that a scalability crisis is imminent, and want to have a plan B for their millions.

Sorry if I gave you the impression that I wanted to have a conversation with you. I don't. I don't like your insulting manner or your tone at all, so why would I bother? We are done. Bye.
[/quote]

OK,  bitch.

So, you are done in this thread.  Go away, and don't come back.

"I don't want to have a conversation with such a dumb pig" either.

YOU came here with your stupid sh*t and were told to GTFO, let it be recorded.  Do not make this mistake again.

You accuse me of insulting you, yet you insult an entire community because they believe in their own cryptocurrency, not yours, WHATEVER it is.

Get the F out of this thread, bitch, and do not come back.

You have demonstrated very clearly that you have NOTHING TO SAY regarding Dash.

The only question that remains (and it is a very unimportant one) is why you felt the urge to stick your foolish oar into our thread.  Please do not feel obliged to reply, pig.

Unfortunately (for you) this community's way of just insulting people who have legitimate concerns about DASH (and hoping they will just go away) will not work on me. I can be insulted, ridiculed and patronised as much as you want, go right ahead, but nothing will divert me from my path. I will see this scam into the ground and this toxic community dispersed. And I am not alone, I am not the only one who feels this way. This is why you feel you are attacked from all directions of course.

No, you are not alone, you are FAR from the only one who feels this way, my darling.

But will REASON divert you from your path?

You produced a fountain of irrelevant words, but you have not produced any relevant answer to the charts posted by BrainShutdown, which show beyond any RATIONAL doubt that Monero is is a bubble, and Dash is not.

Perhaps you might devote a tiny portion of your magnificent intellect to addressing this issue?

Why the fuck would I care about stupid Monero?? I think it is in a bubble, you're right. BUT I'VE ALREADY EXPLAINED ON THE LAST PAGE THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY MO-FUCKING-NEROS!! It has zero relevance to whether or not DASH is a scam, and zero importance to me personally, so I do not know why you are bringing it up. Geezus I feel like Dr. Doolittle trying to speak to the animals...smh

Oh, sweet Volyova, then perhaps you might consider a minor Copernican revolution in your "thinking".

YOU are the animal in this conversation.

You didn't even bother to watch the short video that I linked, did you?  Because you are lazy and stupid, that's why.

It's really about bitcoin maximalism, or the LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OF HAYEK'S PRINCIPLE OF CURRENCY COMPETITION by the mainstream bitcoin community. You haven't taken any time to look at how Dash has improved on Bitcoin, have you? Because you are defending your (probably laughably small) investment.

Geezus I feel like Dr. Doolittle trying to speak to an animal. Or perhaps just an animatronic PIG.

^ ^ sock-puppet. Newbs I told ya!   Cheesy Cheesy Grin

Volvoya, I know you well.  One of the damaged personalities that bitcointalk is so renowned for.

I have been posting on this board for longer than you have, under various names, so you're right, I'm a sock-puppet.

You, however, are a muppet - an artifact of the ego-inflation that social media tends to produce in inadequate people.

Why is Dash so "hated" by the "wise heads" (barf) of crypto?

The charming and intelligent Amanda has explained it incisively:

We have a paper internally at RFC stage we should release next month that should explain it a lot better than me posting a few things here Smiley

Andy

Thank you so much for taking the time to go into this level of detail here, Andy.  Your explanations are a model of how to communicate complicated software concepts for a general audience.

Perhaps they will help some of the passers-by in this thread to understand why Dash is on a completely different level from every single other "alt".

On a selfish level, I'm happy every time the price dips because I think it's the buying opportunity of a lifetime. Please, doubters, sell your Dash to me  Grin

Thanks for those links, OneDay. V. useful information.

Look at the chart:

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dash/

I'm throwing everything into Dash, for both technical and fundamental reasons. I think Bitcoin is going way up.

Perhaps to $2.5Kwithin six months.

Dash will go up at least x12 within a few months of Evolution release, only if they can eliminate 'crypto' addresses in favor of "human readable addresses" and implement a plausible 'savings account' interest bearing account.

Just remember, this won't happen for about another year, right?

Right, Tante.  Money invested now will be multiplied, money invested in about another year will not  Cheesy

You sound like you expect Dash Evolution to flop and not get any traction in adoption?  It will probably take a few more years, but it will catch on IMO.  Paypal didn't really exist  until 2002, and by 2004, I was using all the time.  Now it's beyond huge.  I don't see why Dash won't be just as successful when we will have an amazingly easy to use interface.

The one thing that Paypal had that Dash currently doesn't, is a marketplace.  It had Ebay.  This is why I've wanted something like Open Bazaar, only run on masternodes, for the past 2 years, but it's too much, and it complicates things  with Masternodes, so nobody wants to do that at this time.  That's fine with me, I'm sure a solution will present itself at some point here.

So though I agree that money invested now will multiply, I don't agree that it won't continue to do so well into the future Smiley

Tante, the last thing I expect is that Evolution will flop!

You see that little  Cheesy after my comment?  Perhaps I need a "/s" to indicate that I was being flippant.

I am ALL IN on Dash, isn't that clear?

Great to hear the feedback on Evolution apps, that's exactly how I thought they would work!

But still wait for some card which I can load with Dash coins and transfer to euros in couple minutes with small fees..

Wait no more.

Maybe somebody here can share information  experience with specrocoin card and Dash. Wink

Well I use my Spectrocoin card frequently, and I don't see how it could be improved.  Send Dash, credited
within minutes to card, spend.  Low fees.  What more do you want?

How much does a masternode cost today in usd?

9280USD Cool

Wow. I remember a time when it was less then $1000 USD. Will I ever be able to buy one for so cheap again?

I remember listening to a podcast with some guy who was claiming that Bitcoin would attain "parity with the dollar".

I detected a note of fanaticism in his tone, similar to the rants of MLM salespeople,  so although I was considering buying,
I decided to put it off.  Will I ever be able to buy Bitcoin for so cheap again?
