If and when a kind of resistance like this (around 0.027 and touched three times in three years) is broken, doesn't that means we could see a...

I think we may see that when it starts to dawn on people (as it already is) that finding these essential monetary properties co-incident the one asset, decoupled from each other is extremely rare* and difficult to acheive:

 • a fully transparent blockchain
 • a highly fungible and therefore anonymous token
 • a network-native base rate of interest on holdings
 • a transaction speed that qualifies as cash according to emerging institutional definitions
 • a level of native mobility and accessibility (=liquidity) that is hitherto undreamt of in the cryptocurrency sector
 • a scaling strategy that's native to the network

 * (For example it's taken 2 years of organic growth alone just to grow the active network tier to where it is today, quite apart from all the development work that's going on).

Come on people, came on, keep letting Dash to dawn on you!   Cheesy

Well, far beyond that, if you wish to open your mind to truths which justify the aristocratic values which align with Dash more than with other politically inspired cryptocurrencies (consciously or unconsciously) you should listen to this talk by Jonathan Bowden, and no, I do not believe in pandering to the lowest common denominator, and nor should you:

It looks like to me that DASH is consolidating in the range of 80M$ mCap, thoughts?

In summary, the Intel Management Engine and its applications are a backdoor with total access to and control over the rest of the PC. The ME is a threat to freedom, security, and privacy, and the libreboot project strongly recommends avoiding it entirely. Since recent versions of it can’t be removed, this means avoiding all recent generations of Intel hardware. details https://libreboot.org/faq.html#intelme --- https://tehnoetic.com/laptops --- https://store.vikings.net/x200-ryf-certfied

Brainwashed is the only word to use. DASH pales in comparison with Shadowcash [SDC], Spectrecoin [SPEC] and Monero [XMR], the only real privacy coins out there....don't fall for the masternode ruse!!!

Wow, Amanda, you're the strongest woman I know!  If you're really getting the kind of hate those posters are dishing out and still being so awesome, I'm totally impressed.  I want you to know, I have complete awe and respect for you - seriously!

I found it funny when he suggested to be "nice" to Grandfather Bitcoin, not threaten it.  LOL, I'm sorry but Bitcoin is stuck.  It has one function, and only as long as people find value in it, and that is as a "store of value" and currently transferring large values quickly. It will never be what Satoshi originally envisioned.

But Dash will.

Yeah, automobile, be nice to horse and carriages! Yeah, CDs, be nice to cassette tapes! Yeah, digital downloads, be nice to CDs! Yeah, flat screens, be nice to projection TVs!

Totally makes sense. If you're not in favor of progress and advancement. Be nice to Bitcoin? Screw that.

Is it wise to invest into DASH and run a masternode ? how would It would cost me If I decide to do that and how much % should I expect to receive yearly or monthly ? 1000 DASH is a big amount with the current rates and I'm not sure how active the development is and If It could surpass Monero or not... I don't want to invest and see the coin dying after a few months from now .

It depends, if the server costs much money(I ain't sure do we need to have a server), it is not worth to be a masternode, I am not familiar with Dash masternode system, if it is profitable, I will try.

It's probably not wise to invest in cryptos, but if you want to, then Dash is one of the most, if not the most innovative cryptos you could invest in.  I'll tell you, my daughters bought at the same price we're at now last August  (I think it was last August??) and to be honest, we are not sweating the ups and downs because we're long term holders.  They've earned nearly 40 Dash since then.  I'd say they've been getting about 9% return in terms of Dash.  Cost is about even at this moment, but I expect by next year, the price of Dash will multiply.  But it's a very risky investment.  Things can go wrong.  Who knows?  Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.

Oh yes, and they have an expensive server.  They pay $10 a month, but my more inexpensive server started going off line after nearly 2 years, so I upgraded to a more reliable service.  Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do when 12.1 comes out  Undecided

Investing in crypto is risky, put only a fraction of your liferoll. Don't put money that you can't afford to lose.

By the way, Dash is a crypto that is going to celebrate its 3rd birthday soon. It's something, on the scene, not common.
Tons of updates in 3 years, a massive release in the next month and a revolution called Evolution on the road. So regarding "surpassing" i don't know exactly who's ahead of what (i don't want to start a monero vs dash war... monero is a good crypto for privacy. Dash's privacy is just a minor tool in its arsenal).

With a node, you get about 9,3% of yearly interest (going slightly down in the next weeks, when the Payout will be reduced). Something that no bank can even imagine right now.
Running it? Make it easy. Send a PM to my friend splawik, that is here on the forum, and you can both run your own node, managed by him, or just send him some coins if you don't want to buy whole 1000 dash.
Ofc, the service has a price (lower than 10$...) but overall, your interest will be about 7-8% according to discounts.

Again, something not easy to attain.
Regarding price... well, look at the $/dash price. No one can be sure of the future, but it's a good indicator Wink

But Dash will.

Started watching this morning, will catch the last bit on my way home. I agree that it was kind of amusing that the interviewer was seeking understanding for "be nice to Bitcoin, be like Litecoin". But in that sense, who will care about LTC if BTC can do all what Litecoin can do. If Dash is to be adopted in a grand scale, then it will have to take on Bitcoin at some point, but more importantly, the system/platform that can deliver cheaper, faster digital cash to the public will likely be the platform that gets adopted. As it stands today, Dash is in a better position to achieve this as we see that Bitcoin has governance and scaling problems whereas Dash has solutions to address these limitations.
