Asking $68,000, or the equivalent in bitcoins (~71 BTC as of this
writing) for two lots of vacant land in Wake County, North Carolina
totalling 3.2 acres.

Lot #5 is partially cleared, zoned for manufactured home, 1.69 acres.  Has
dormant septic and well.  Asking $42,000 (or BTC equivalent) if purchased alone.

Lot #11 is not cleared, full of young pine trees, 1.50 acres.  Asking
$30,000 (or BTC equivalent) if purchased alone.

All prices reduced, by several thousand dollars.  See OP (quoted).

Something's brewing: http://www.dunveganspace.com/goals/bitsat

Should have something available late tonight or early tomorrow.

148  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] HUGE tracts of land! OK, 3.3 acres in North Carolina, at least. on: February 01, 2014, 03:01:11 PM
Bump...  Currently under 75 BTC for both lots.

It is residential.... I'm gonna go with no. Plus you'd be better off moving to Colorado if that were your intention.

Jeez I really want these lots... Just 1 more 200% gain in the price of BTC... then they are mine!

It is zoned residential, yes.

The property is "out in the county"   There are many houses nearby, but it is not in a neighborhood with one house right next to another.  All the lots in this area are large, so houses tend to be over 200' apart from each other.  Some homes are manufactured homes (mobile homes), rather than site-built single-family homes.

I was planning to build one house on each lot, before I had to move away.

152  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Who's mining the testnet? on: January 21, 2014, 03:24:08 PM
There are possible attacks on testnet difficulty.  The resolution is the same:  if it becomes unusable, reset the genesis block, and start testnet4.

Part of the "testnet contract" is that it may be reset.

153  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: pushpool - open source pool software on: January 17, 2014, 02:42:07 AM
pushpool cannot keep up with the bitcoin main network anymore, so it is not really being maintained.
154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin blockchain data torrent on: January 14, 2014, 10:59:26 AM
Updated OP to use a code block, and also posted the original GPG-signed msg at http://gtf.org/garzik/bitcoin/torrent-msg.txt

Let me know if sigs still fail.
155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin blockchain data torrent on: January 13, 2014, 07:26:24 PM
Suggestions for better trackers are always welcome.  Trackers appear and disappear, and I'm certainly not an expert on picking them.

Ideally we would use trackerless torrents (pure DHT), but that early experiment ended in failure.

Minor update for a script parsing bug pushed to git.
157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt / bitcoind version 0.8.6 released on: January 11, 2014, 07:32:21 PM
Somewhat related:  The bitcoin blockchain torrent was just updated: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=145386.0

New users may find that valuable.

158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin blockchain data torrent on: January 11, 2014, 07:11:31 PM
Updated the torrent to block 279,000.  See top post.  Please start seeding the new one!

For existing seeders, just swap out your .torrent file with the new one, and you will resume at ~70% completion.
