The old website is still communicating thoughts and ideas from pre-ICO days. We have gone through a lot of growth since then. Our blockchain has been live since last June and there are already a number of apps building on DCore, and we are working with even more still, to explore new use cases and opportunities. It was high time our front page reflect our progress. Expect comprehensive and up-to-date information, easier access to the tools and resources you need, and of course a sweet new design.

The ALAX TGE has begun. Important note for DCT holders: there is a 10% bonus for participating with DCT. Also the first round has a 10%. Combine the two for a 20% bonus. Check out the project at alax.io

Right, there are no plans at this time for staking. There are two ways of earning DCT at the moment. The first is by being voted to the active witness list (to receive block rewards) the other is to seed content in a free market system. The later would require demand from publishers so it might be a little ways down the road yet.

Correct, Upbit added DCT recently.

The volume there isn't exactly a surprise, though, with all the recent activity around ALAX.

The upswing happened to come just before ALAX announced a 10% bonus for using DCT during the TGE.

Just to clarify, DECENT is the NPO that built DCore. DCore is the DPoS blockchain platform.

- A miner node needs to be running 24/7. Miss blocks and you won't make the active witness list.
- You should run a dedicated system with your node. (many run backups as well)
- Voting is basically as you describe.
- You need to be on the active witness list to receive rewards. So integrity of your node and profile are far more important than luck.
- DPoS does not rely on processing power, rather a low latency network. As such it is more energy efficient and sustainable than PoW mining.
- DPoS can easily perform 100s of transactions per second as apposed to 1s and 10s of transactions per sec.
- DCore also provides a system for seeders, making it quite unique in the cryptosphere.

Testnet is technically ready, official announcement, coming soon. The web voting tool and redesign of the DECENT main page are both currently ahead of schedule.
