It seems that they just threw a statement without taking in consideration of its consequences or let the people to be busy with this new dramatic situation. It is hard to believe they have asked this kind of support for this exchange. If they were asking to push the request towards Poloniex it was reasonable request but just messed things in my mind now.
I really don't get what the big deal is. Some dumb exchange is having a typical vote for a coin. Decent said vote for us, or suggest, whatever it was. It doesn't mean that it will be exclusive on that exchange or that they even contacted them, or that it won't be on Bittrex, or that they are not in talks with Poloneix. They are trying to promote this coin as hard as possible. Going to conferences, getting articles written about them, etc. It's hard to believe that a little comment like that could cause such controversy, over something that's going to be a non issue when main net launches and this coin is at least on Bittrex. The greatest FUD always comes with the most successful projects. I'm sure the devs are already in contact with Poloniex, Bittrex and other exchanges, it might have just been a first response from C-cex. I'm sure they could get listed on Bittrex on launch if not Poloniex, but for now Bittrex would be enough volume. watch out they are deleting posts btw, starting to look scammy man
Worrying, if true.. What posts? I still would put money on it saying it that isn't a scam, they could have vanished long ago if that were the case. It would be pointless to maintain the project for such a long period of time. Hello, no posts were deleted by DECENT. I read some concerns about using thins like Google Authentication.
Can Google, or other companies link you to your phone through it, despite being open source and all. Or is it done in a way that it cannot be linked to the users?

They said they will announce two weeks before launch, this month. I hope it will be announced on this thread, where people deserve to wait about this launch, it's almost a year the project is running, and hopefully this will be the beginning of success for all of us ... We will announce all the important updates in the following weeks. DECENT Network's launch is planned for this June. |

IOU is currently trading on liqui so will probably be listed there as well.
They are fairly small exchanges for a project that raised a large amount of BTC, but I am sure the devs are working on other exchanges currently. Currently we are discussing with multiple exchanges, more updates coming soon! |

DECENT ICO has ended in November last year. However, DCT will be tradable after the launch of the main network.

Is a phone number mandatory? I'm highly against this because of privacy etc. Why not just use Google Authenticator for 2FA? SMS/Phone 2FA is not that safe anyway. SMS authentication which is mentioned in our latest blog will be one of the possible options for securing your account. The point of the announced change is the account’s transition from the original platform to a new one.
