Does the "Bestshare" column on the web page report best share for the round, or is it reading the best ever share value? It's the bestshare (for the round) and not bestever. Bestshare shows your highest share. There is a field "Bestever" which gets never resetted. But Bestshare will be resetted after someone found a block on ckpool. The field lastupdate shows, how "old" your data are and has no relation to the round. There is no official reset function. If we want to know the round, we have to query the general pool stats from http://solo.ckpool.org/pool/pool.status. But as the bestshare will be resetted anyway after ckpool found a block, there is no need for that? If you want more fields in the list, it's not a problem to add these... Edit 1: Typos Edit 2: Maybe bestever and round time (in a human readable format) would be nice meta stats to. What do you guys think? |

Ever since I ran a Gekko stick on mine its not been happy running anything more than 131mhz. Anything more than that and it restarts constantly. So now it just runs a fan for the gecko stick that's in a hub with my U3's running on cgminer through the laptop. Id like to get the R1 to run more but haven't got the foggiest how to get more power to it.
That's strange. I'm running 6 Gekkos @ 144 MHz, no problems with restarting here. Are you all on Windows? Was never added to the list. So went back mining at solo Antpool.
Please come back and don't support Antpool. I'm sure Ammi will insert you into the list. |

What freq you running Mike?
Well, not the 250MHz that was shown on the site, lol. That must have happened when they added the "adjust you own freq" thing. I'm at 137.5 like most of the folks. Don't think theres anything wrong with your R1. Its still submitting shares equal to everyone else at that speed. Just it hasn't pulled a good bestshare out of the box yet. Im surprised mine got a 1M share lol
You have a bestshare of 17M not just 1M  The column 'Shares' is the count (sum) of all shares delivered from your R1 to ckpool. |

all of us are already using a modded firmware by crazyguy, tweked mhz and volts, added fans.... and for hours of fun and hobbying.... perhaps we should not put any constraints... but I am good for any reasonable ground rules, as long as it does not kill the fun... after all this race is purely for fun and sharing of ideas etc.
I see it exactly the same. If someone is taking a risk by opening and OC it, then he/her deserves the higher hash rate I could live with that with no problems. Some rules are ok, but as you stated, it should not kill fun or the people will start going away from this race. As long as someone is using an original R1 with the same mining chip, everything is allowed. What do you guys think? And of course, one R1 per worker... Did we ever see proof of the Compac that found a Block?
No proof, but in the Compac Thread somone claimed, he has found a block with that usb miner. |

Hi all
Does anyone use his R1 as WLAN client? I have a bunch of U3 and i would like to let them mine in another room because of the noise. But there is no ethernet connection inside this room. I would like to stop using my Raspi for connecting the U3 to my WLAN and installing my R1 for that reason.
I've tried a couple times, but didn't get it to work. It won't connect to the wlan nor is it accessible via cable. I had to reset my device in order to getting a connection again. Thanks for your hints.

This project is purely for fun and good de-stresser. I think many of the R1 Racers here will agree Who knows... one day a block happens.... it will be a world record for sure. Btw, what is the smallest miner solving a block ever recorded? we should ask CK. I agree One guy have found a block with a GekkoScience Compac Stickminer (8 - 16 GH/s) from sidehack. |

Yes, we can do that. I've hooked up a spare 40mm fan to the usb port and mounted it with tesa to the side of the device, leaving a small gap between fan and side plate. My R1 is running at 162.5MHz. Before mounting a fan, I could measure up to 47° C on that side. The fan makes no noise at all.  |

Does anyone have played with voltage too, or just the frequency for OC? P.S.: Another update of the website will follow soon I have played with voltage on my 1st R1, not the one in this group. To do so you have to open up the R1 and add a potentiometer, so far from straightforward. It is covered in th main R1 thread. Yo can then go higher in frequency but who'll need to add cooling. To go even higher you then have to replace the PSU. Rich Thanks, Rich. Do the voltage settings on the webinterface not work? If it's that much of 'work' to over- or undervolt, then this wouldn't be adopted by many and the voltage field in the antrun list would be unnecessary. |

Da Du Dich ja selbst am Händeschütteln so festbeisst: gibst du wirklich jedem die Hand? Ich zumindest differenziere da stark, manche Menschen bekommen ein Kopfnicken, andere wiederum mehr Körpernähe als meine Handinnenfläche. Ich brauche jedenfalls eine Hand weder zur Kontaktaufnahme noch als traditionelles abchecken der Bewaffnung meines Gegenübers.. -in einigen Berufssparten, in Teilen auch meiner, wird es eh kritisch gesehen und man greift eher zu Sterilium als zu einer Hand...
Da es sich bei der Geschichte mit dem Händeschütteln um Kinder gehandelt hat, ja darum finde ich das sehr problematisch. Man gibt ihnen bevor sie erwachsen sind die Meinung auf den Weg, dass es OK ist, den Frauen (und wir sprechen hier nur von Frauen) nicht die Hände zu schütteln. Was soll daran OK sein? Wenn sich jemand schon bei einer kleinen Geste wie das Händeschütteln weigert, wo und bei was weigert er sich dann noch? Aber ich sehe, dass ich ziemlich alleine bin mit diesen Ansichten und verschone euch ab jetzt. |

Dann bin ich halt unwissend und habe mich nicht informiert.
Wenn Personen einer Frau (aus welchen Gründen auch immer) das Händeschütteln verweigert, dann ist das für mich nicht mehr in Ordnung. Egal ob das nun ein Moslem, Islamist, Christ, Elefant oder ein Baum ist. Wenn ein Mädchen gerne mit der Schulklasse in den Schwimmunterricht will, der Vater aber auf stur schaltet, dann ist das für mich Unterdrückung.
Dabei spielt es mir keine Rolle, ob diese Beispiele nun aus religiöser Überzeugung kommen oder nicht. Es ist in unserem Land einfach falsch.

Moslems sind Personen, deren Religion der Islam ist, genauso wie bei Katholiken etc... 2. Islamisten sind entweder Personen, die sich wissenschaftlich mit dem Islam beschäftigen, d.h. gelehrte für den Islam. dazu müssen sie nicht auch Moslem sein. 3. Islamisten können (nicht sind) auch Anhänger des islamischen Fundamentalismus sein. Das sind Moslems, für die ihre Religion auch gesellschaftliche, politische und wirtschaftliche Bedeutung hat bzw. sie setzen sich dafür ein, dass der Islam Bedeutung in der Gesellschaft, der Politik und Wirtschaft bekommt. Was hindert nun den Moslem, den Islam nicht genau so gewalttätig auszuleben? Wenn Islamisten "Wissenschaftler" sind, warum Töten die dann Menschen für den Glauben? |

Danke für mich eine ganz gute Zusammenfassung, obwohl man alle nicht über einen Kamm scheren kann/darf...
Das einzige was ich noch ändern würde: ...unsere Gesetze "Werte" respektieren.. Fahr du in ein Islamistisches Land und führ dich dort so auf... Ja das sehe ich auch so. Mir ist bewusst, dass die Beispiele von meinem Post Einzelfälle sind. Von den meisten der 300'000 Islamisten in der Schweiz hört man nie etwas. Es gibt die Muslime, die sich an die Gesetze halten. Nur um das nochmals klar hervorzuheben. Wir müssen die Gedankengänge des Islams zuerst einmal erkennen, so müssen die das aber auch mit unseren... Ich weiss auch, dass der Osten den Westen hasst. Ist ja auch logisch, wenn wir das Gefühl haben, in jedem östlichen Land die "Demokratie einführen zu müssen". Jeder der das Trieben der Amis im Osten hinnimmt, muss mit den Konsequenzen leben. Auch wenn das Terror ist. Wir haben in diesen Ländern militärisch gesehen nichts zu suchen. Ich würde das nicht so bezeichnen, wir haben auch welche in der Firma aber die wollen sich hier bei uns in Österreich integrieren, er achtet die Gesetze und auch unsere Werte, und ist auch immer für einen Scherz über Religionen zu haben, das einzige auf was er strikt achtet ist kein Schweinefleisch sonst... Schweinefleisch zu verweigern stellt für mich persönlich keinen Gesetzesbruch dar. Dein Arbeitskollege ist in dem Fall ein sehr aufgeschlossener, toleranter Mensch. Finde ich sehr sympathisch. Dann ist es für uns aber auch wieder kein Problem (oder darf kein Problem sein), ihn bei seinem Verzicht auch Schweinefleisch zu unterstützen. |
