41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Imagine Crypto and Bitcoin Currency Risks in early 2018 on: January 06, 2019, 03:29:22 PM
True adoption is increasing (forget the bandwagoning that happened in 2017).
Mind explaining what 'true' adoption looks like? The only form of adoption I have seen is how people consider crypto to be a money making machine, and that won't change--more than likely will become worse.

+90% of the people are here to make money, that's the hard reality. None of the exchanges feel the need to make people aware of why crypto has value in the first place. They only want to stimulate you to buy shit you don't need.

Exchanges are the entry points for people. If it goes wrong there, it's likely to go wrong everywhere.
Why do I need to buy bitcoin for using as money when I will be having enough payment processors for my online requirements. People will definitely buy bitcoin only when they are believing that there are plenty chances of making more profits in near future by investing with bitcoin right now. If there will be no possibility of multiplying your money through bitcoin, I'm afraid bitcoin must be valuing right now still under $1.

Yes, it will be hard to explain and convince people the basics of decentralization and advantage of having such a new money system. People are buying bitcoins with the aim of making good returns and then realizing the benefit of having such a financial system. Common people must need some easy entry points after that they start adopting it more due to its obvious benefits.
I have discussed this the many times that why we are having high value for bitcoin and why Mr Satoshi has designed bitcoin in such a way it will be having huge value over the time.

Just to attract new people to adopt bitcoin for their own reasons.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: January 06, 2019, 08:48:47 AM
nowadays there are many who are afraid to buy bitcoin again because they see the price of bitcoin falling very cheaply as it is today, making it difficult for many people to believe in bitcoin but when the price of bitcoin can recover then many will try to buy bitcoin because they can see opportunities that can provide benefits.
That’s not true. People even fear altcoins more than they fear Bitcoin. I don’t even trust altcoins, I will prefer to invest in Bitcoin for a long term instead of investing altcoins, cause they are a lot risky than Bitcoin, most of them don’t even make it. There are lots of altcoins that gets dumped and if you’re unlucky and it gets dumped on you, you should just forget your money cause there is no getting it back.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we want btc etf and bakkt? on: January 06, 2019, 07:31:20 AM
A lot of people believes that Bakkt will help to make cryptocurrency to gain a mainstream adoption. People think Bakkt will bring a lot of institutions investment money into cryptocurrency and that will make the price to increase. But we don’t even know that yet. Same as ETF, a lot of people believes that the two will help the crypto space to grow a lot. There have been things similar to this introduced in the past, but we will see if this will be anything different.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Feds raising rates on: January 06, 2019, 07:00:55 AM
The feds raising rates in q4. It should effect Bitcoin. As people need to prep for standard of living than investing. If feds didn't raise rates would Bitcoin have gone higher? First the credit cards company blocks Bitcoin buying. Then the feds raises rates. Effecting the economy in such a way people are not investing. Bitcoin will find a way to increase. It just takes time. I think the data shows fed want to raise rate partly because of Bitcoin. Maybe or maybe not.

There is nothing like Feds raising the rate of Bitcoin, Bitcoin has nothing to do with Feds raising rates or whatever. This your point is not making any sense, Bitcoin is unreliable of anything, it can only be reliable of people’s rate of demand and the supply. And I will also like to add that the price going up doesn’t mean that it will experience high rate of adoption, even if it goes up, it doesn’t change the fact that it is volatile.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: thinking of selling or investing more. on: January 06, 2019, 06:29:37 AM
Because nobody knows when the market will start to rise. But, as I expected, this time not from Sales just stopped and watched the market and appreciate this time with I family on the grounds that in a few months the market will start to rise. So this time there is no compelling reason to offer. I don't know myself and I can't predict the increase. But if the coin that I hold is valid and worth holding, I better hold it or I have to cut my losses.
That depends on which coin you’re holding, there are coins that are not worth Hodling. So you might need to make your research and know what experts are saying about the coins you are Hodling to know if the future is good for it or not. If it’s Bitcoin, then you’re Hodling a good coin for sure, as well as Ethereum and Ripple. You can also add Stellar to the list of coins you’re holding this year.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: January 06, 2019, 05:59:12 AM
With the current economy, the fears about the Brexit, Italy, the Sino-American problems and the general pessimism among investors; It looks like Gold is coming back the past months. At the same time, countries like the EU, Japan & China are reducing their investments in the economy,
(it should also reduce demand for the USD?)

Even the Central banks are buying more Gold (+13% from the previous year). Economists predict a dark year for 2019 and it seems a lot of large funds are now buying Gold massively. Especially from Asia and Soviets.
It depends. Gold is not like cryptocurrency, cause it doesn’t have high risk. Gold is just like investing in your money in lands, if you buy land today, after some years the price will increase. That’s how Gold works too, if you invest in it today, in some years coming the price will also increase. It is less volatile than Bitcoin and there isn’t huge risk. But for Bitcoin, it is highly volatile and that makes it a lot riskier.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the market on: January 06, 2019, 05:29:03 AM
Honestly, what do you think will happen with the market? no matter how positive I want to be, I think that lot of people (myself included) were waiting for the bull run to start this month, but we're already at 25 and there's still no movement, I think we should be thankful that btc hasn't continued to drop, but many projections have fallen apart when we're almost entering November and nothing of the bull run, what do you think will happen with the market at the end? we're finally seeing the beginnings of a stabilization? our goal should be mass adoption now that prices are stable?

The bull run happens when you least expects it. It doesn’t just happen, it will happen when a lot of people has given up already. By then you will see that a lot of people will start to rush back in and the price will keep multiplying and increasing, and that’s how it will also turn and start to fall again. It doesn’t remain at the top forever, that’s why it is volatile.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ECONOMIC ANALYSIS/RESEARCH POLL: How many ICOs have you participated? on: January 05, 2019, 09:27:21 AM
Hello,

as part of an ongoing academic research, I have created a public survey to see how many percentage of members in the crypto-community have participated in ICO. I kindly ask you to vote on the poll in order to assist me in this research.

And I would love to hear more about your story with ICO! Please share by leaving comment! I would randomly choose one and give out $20 worth of bitcoin if there are 50+ comments.

Thank you very much in advance and have a wonderful day!  Cheesy

I think it is less then 10. I don’t really do ICOs, I focus more on trading cryptocurrency. But I have participated in about five or more ICOs and they haven’t paid yet. About two I’m very sure of, one will be paying this year on March and the other will be this month of January. I just hope they pay and not mess around with participants.
49  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will the association help the market? on: January 05, 2019, 08:21:36 AM
Friends, often stumble on news, Ripple, Cardano, NEM, and Fetch want to protect the interests of cryptocurrency in the state level in Europe. Do you think this will help the market to soak up from the ashes, if the crypto market will have its own voice, to discuss the prospects for joint development with the existing economy?
Cryptocurrency has been around without all these things you are talking about. The community has always been the voice of cryptocurrency, they are the ones who control it, so I still believe that without all these there will still be cryptocurrency and it will be doing just fine. The most important thing here is the community , if the community dies, then there will be no one to invest in it.
50  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, campaigns, gambling or mining? on: January 05, 2019, 07:49:07 AM
Which one would you prefer or best to earn? As far as i have come across, crypto is the best platform to have good earnings. We have many who have a good experience on it and still into it without a regular job. Many have left their main job after experiencing double income from crypto. Many have become millionaire and have changed their lifestyles. Which one would be the best to have good crypto earnings?
I prefer trading and campaigns , those are the two that works for me. As for gambling, that’s a no no for me, I don’t do gambling , tried it before though, but it doesn’t work for me. I keep on losing anytime I bet on things . As for mining, I only do cloud mining, but I might soon buy Miner to see how it would be if I mine it myself. Trading is not easy but I do the little best I can.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Whales and their influence on: January 05, 2019, 07:18:24 AM
Friends, what do you think about the whales of the crypto market, it’s no secret that the main holders influence the situation sometimes very strongly, maybe I don’t understand something, so I wanted to ask you: isn't it time to support crypto and do something? Who can benefit from a catastrophic market decline? And of course, how do you think who or what can affect the current situation?
Anyone can benefit from the market as long they have been Hodling the coin before then. It doesn’t benefit only the whales, you yourself can still buy when the market price is down and wait for it to go up again. That’s what the whales do, they buy coins when the price is declining and then pump it, if you buy at the same time you will follow to enjoy the profit that comes later on.
52  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Do you think that crypto exchanges are dead? on: January 05, 2019, 06:45:40 AM
Which exchanges are you referring to exactly ,cause I’m very sure that most of the exchanges I know doesn’t have these problems you have mentioned. Unless you are referring to need exchanges, cause they are mainly the ones that suffer this issue of lack of funds. That’s also one of the reasons why you should avoid majority of them. When they don’t get enough funds to run the exchange they will close up and you might get a refund.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the time to buy! on: January 03, 2019, 08:23:05 AM
"Buy when there is blood in the streets" "Be greedy when others are fearful"

This is the time to buy if you want to become rich, The top coins are at bargain prices, 200 dollars for an eth, (that is an easy 5x if you hold).

I believe the whales and wall street manipulators have been keeping prices down and shaking out the noobs so they can accumulate for very cheap prices.
If everyone keeps buying now then the price wouldn’t go down at all .but the price is going down because everyone is pulling out their funds to avoid loss at the moment .it’s best to have patience when bear starts and wait till after the market has fallen to the bottom and becomes a bit stable just like it is now. That’s when you can buy as much as you want to keep them for when the bull run will arrive.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Hard fork (constantinople) on 16th january 2019 on: January 03, 2019, 07:53:01 AM
eth devs has planned a hardfork on 16th jan to halve the block reward of eth to controll the inflation.. what do you think how it is gonna effect the eth price plus sholud we hold some eth for the fork
I think there is nothing wrong with holding your coins cause when they split the network you will have both coins available in your wallet and erc20 tokens will reflect on both networks. It’s then left for the exchanges to determine which one of the two tokens they will be ready to support ,and most of them are likely to support the one which is more popular .
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Fork on: January 03, 2019, 07:20:06 AM
With the new Ethereum fork - Do we need to do anything with our ETH which is on a cold wallet
Before you will get information on what to do. And I believe that this Constantinople will make the market to go high , especially the ethereum market . ETH has been doing just really fine since this week and the price has been recovering ,I’m just hoping that it doesn’t fall again. Although the fork will cause a little setback ,but it will pick up within a short while.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 is it the new beginning will come to crypto currencies? on: January 03, 2019, 06:50:06 AM
2019 seems to be a new hope for crypto, because some developments will probably occur that year, for example Ethereum will soon fork as a refinement and as a means to increase prices, do you all believe 2019 will be better for crypto currency?
How sure are you about that?, I don’t know if the price will continue to go down or not ,but I have been seeing a lot of predictions, though I hardly believe in them cause they don’t make any sense most of the times if you take their word. Just like last year they kept on predicting a bull but it never happened .maybe it will all happen this year, its just best never to give up.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to known a Scam ICO on: January 03, 2019, 06:20:16 AM
Please tell me how to known a scam ICO to protect myself
BTW now i should buy ICO coin or buy coin on exchange?
Thank so much
Any ico that has something to hide is a scam. A genuine ico wouldn’t be hiding anything from the participants. And like majority of the people here said, you should pore over the whitepaper, that is one way to tell if an ico is just scam. But know that only whitepaper can’t tell if an ico is scam or not, so you also need to consider other things as well.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Sick and tired of the cryptocurrency bullshit!!! on: January 02, 2019, 01:41:57 PM
Lol, don’t take these YouTubers serious, they can say a lot of shit. It would be best for you to carry out your own research. Sometimes, people usually overhype things like this, they keep on saying things that are not even true. I already knew that there wouldn’t be any bull last year, but trust me, this 2019 is going to be different from the previous year. There is definitely going to be a Bull run this year.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: How much important bitcoin for entrepreneurs? on: January 02, 2019, 01:25:04 PM
World is now leading by different entrepreneurs who are continuously innovate new thing for contributing the world for removing poverty and fight against superstition. Entrepreneur find those skill and proficient people who are deprive of opportunity and provide sufficient work through she or he can lead a perfect life.  Now world is like a global village and people can recognize them by their own specialty. Now through this currency a entrepreneur can find actual worker who can do this task according to their expectation. Even they can transfer this  currency after completing actual task from one place to another place. So i think it can be a choice for investment for entrepreneurs.
No one is inventing anything to fight corruption, they are more interested in how much they will make from it. Cryptocurrency can’t make you rich if you don’t invest anything, so it is not free. And also it doesn’t work in favor of everyone, cause as you are winning, there are people who are losing. There is nothing like free money as some people claims.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is the richest person? on: January 02, 2019, 12:55:52 PM
I know Jeff Bezos is considered the richest known person but there is a lot of hidden wealth in the world.

I've heard the following people may actually be trillionaires:

Putin
Oil Saudis
Rothschild family
I believe that one of these people you have mentioned is likely to be the world richest, most especially Putin, but maybe he’s staying low cause he doesn’t want to be compared with anyone. There are people who don’t really like to show off what they have.

They prefer to keep low and live their life and not getting the attention of the public on what they have. And Putin seems to be like someone who likes to keep secret, lol.
