701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEVA] NevaCoin | PoS 2.0 / PoW Hybrid | Blake2s PoW | NO Premine | on: March 07, 2016, 02:36:56 PM
I prepared everything perfect yesterday to launch the coin automatically this morning. I translate incorrectly unix time and i have started to mine one hour late. Shit and hate, next time use GMT format, dev.  Embarrassed

That is why I posted the unix time Smiley

But sorry that was my bad. The first pre-ann thread had athe wrong time, GMT confused me too. Nevas birth time was 10:58, but she was born in the +1 zone, so I had to update the genesis block.

Silly things one does not expect with all the other things that could go wrong.

If the mistake was caused by that first unix time in the draft OP you have my sincere apologies.

But in my defense, all the twitter/facebook/reddit and the official ANN here had the correct unix time posted for the last two days.

Actually, since the source and wallets were posted the unix time was already correct. So it would be impossible for you to even see the wrong time in the PRE-ANN post.

So its your bad that you calculated it wrong.

Yes, and noone has said that was your fault, only GMT preference. I checked the date in the preann, and autocomplete of the unix time made the rest pf the trick when I went to check again yesterday. So my fault due to your initial mistake.

Source code, windows wallet and linux wallets are up.

If anyone can compile a MAC wallet till tomorrow I would be very grateful, so we can have a REAL fair launch for all platforms.

Mining starts at 1457344680 unix time.

Cheers all!

P.S., testnet is up and minable if anyone wants to try it out...
Connected to testnet with 1 connection but not able to sync???

Hi.
Can anyone share a working .conf file.

I added a cygnus.conf to my .Cygnus directory ( I'm on linux) and pasted this:
addnode=46.236.161.66
addnode=136.243.50.159
addnode=199.7.156.130
addnode=70.83.227.32
addnode= 5.67.142.54
addnode=216.189.153.244
addnode=78.94.32.195
addnode=77.110.148.98

but can't sync.
What did I do wrong?

have you tried renaming it to Cygnus.conf ?
probably not it but i know linux is case sensitive and as the folders .Cygnus ...

ya.LINUX is like a woman
so sensitive.just make it sure that you use Cygnus.conf not cygnus.conf,
you should have a connection if you do it.
or maybe add more new node
I was also getting crazy trying to sync. Thanks DaMut  Smiley

Nice work shapetwist with the quick distribution of all the warp, received mine not too long after the sale ended just annoyed I wasn't able to buy more.

Happy staking to all the buyers aswell...  Smiley

It would be great if warp wasn't immediately listed on any exchanges until after the V2 wallet was released even with just some of the features. Saying that if it does get listed and some people are silly enough to dump their warp cheap I won't hesitate to buy it up.

Good luck all...
Seems to be a serious project with no premine or other scams, I have doubts about anyone quickly dumping his coins in case to be listed soon. Just my two cents...
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: January 20, 2016, 06:57:18 PM
If you have GRC you should read this topic.

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/11357-gridcoin-finance-project/

Having into account the shape this project is taking, maybe you will love it or maybe you will see it as the project which is going to kill GRC value, as me. But in any case, I think any GRC investor, researcher, should take a look at it.

711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: OPES - NEW Argon2 algo - No ICO - CPU ONLY on: January 11, 2016, 04:50:44 PM
I was asked by OPES, the issuer, to provide an Escrow address for the lottery of OPES he offers. I can confirm that i hold 200000 OPES on c-cex.

I wish every participant good luck. Smiley

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
20160111 Iam the original escrow SebastianJu and i hold 200000 OPES on c-cex that are held for the OPES lottery.

-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Message signed with an old address of mine, that i posted may 2013 on bitcointalk. See my Servicethread: [ANN] SebastianJu - Free Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC.

You can check a signed message very easy. The fastest way is to visit http://wallet-2sx53n.sakurity.com/#verify.

.:: 200k ESCROWED by SebastianJu OPES lottery ::.

To introduce the world's first PoS Argon2 based wallet, OPES is giving away 200000 OPES to ONE lucky winner!

- How to participate -

A snapshot of the block explorer will be made 15/01/2016 and 1hour before we announce and release the PoW+PoS wallet.
Every wallet that holds 20k (20.000) OPES during that time is eligible to win the lottery!

A provable fair algorithm will select the winner from all the users that are eligible.

- Good luck to you all! -

The coins have been sent to SebastianJu. He will release the coins once the winner is selected by the provable fair algorithm.

TXid of the payment : http://104.238.173.4:3001/tx/ddb28cd2ea3198666132e575ff00c97ab833b95d820cd40e58c78a0b61ebf72f

He will confirm on topic once the coins are confirmed.

So only 11 elegible wallets, and some of them could be the 540k OPES wallet cut in various wallets to increase the chance of coins being recovery by the developer. Taking into account reward per block, time till the lottery and so on, well... buy your opes in ccex... Roll Eyes

Theoretically is not an easy algo for gpu's...?

Maybe new bounties for mac and android wallets???
714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AR2] Argon2Coin new PoW algo, CPU friendly on: January 01, 2016, 07:49:54 PM
i if calculated right:
coin reward is reduced by 3% about 6 times in a year.
so next year this time reward will be around 16.7 coins?

correct me if i calculated wrong...
Right. If the coin survives, aprox reward in next years should be:

2016 16.65
2017 13.87
2018 11.56
2019 9.63
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AR2] Argon2Coin new PoW algo, CPU friendly on: January 01, 2016, 06:03:49 PM
That's true, and it allow testing the testz argon2 cpu miner, which seems to work fast and smooth. But with almost 100 miners working on suprnova pool, it's a pity not to see a bit more movement and news in this thread.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AR2] Argon2Coin new PoW algo, CPU friendly on: December 29, 2015, 11:24:22 AM
For the moment, 900 kH/s and about 100 miners. It's alive but if dev don't start to move this again it will be off sooner than later. On the other hand, Argon2 algo seems to be quite resistant to gpu mining...
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AR2] Argon2Coin new PoW algo, CPU friendly on: December 20, 2015, 10:31:05 AM
91 connections here. Yeah, we are all liars and you are the one and only who says the truth. Next please.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AR2] Argon2Coin new PoW algo, CPU friendly on: December 20, 2015, 09:31:30 AM
With "networkhashps" : 155886 I dont think anyone is gpu mining. The v1.1 of the miner hasn't worked for me, no activity at all, but mining with the wallet Im getting a block every two hour aprox. using 3 cores from a I5 CPU.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Gridcoin (GRC) - first coin utilizing BOINC - Official Thread on: November 12, 2015, 04:49:31 PM
I stopped contributing for a project and removed it so my RAC for it right now is almost 0 but it's still being counted towards my magnitude, how do I completely remove it from my CPID so that it doesn't affect my magnitude? do I have to remove team Gridcoin from the project's site?
It΄s that a problem?? I have some projects I haven't worked more in my project list, they sum a very low mag, 1 or 2, but in terms of total mag I don't see what influence could that have.

Thanks, cyberspacemonkey, now it works fine again  Wink
I have to admit I didn't expect GRC to hold up this well, but if you really think about it, it kinda makes sense. GRC has value outside of its exchange rate to btc, meaning all the Boinc work that is being done.

All the alt coins have tanked through the 2 day Btc rally and GRC is still in its positive trend.  Smiley
This just shows you, how much potential this project has and its bright future ahead.
I think that GRC has the potential of being a real value for companies getting distribute computing services, besides the rest of benefits it shares with other cryptos. I lost interest in cryptos after MTGox fiasco but GRC has made me change my mind again.
