I have a couple of questions. Are you in the U.S. (whereabouts if you are)? You say the product is brand new. Is the plastic coating still on the face or shroud? (Has it been peeled off?)
324  Economy / Economics / Re: Scaling bitcoin to world economy is unrealistic. on: September 18, 2012, 05:29:54 PM
Even if the whole bitcoin economy was worth 60 billion (in about 12 years when pretty much all 20 million or so bitcoins are circulating), each coin would be worth around $2850. It would only take 350 to make you a milllionare. I think it's worth the risk  Grin

326  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Pool Operators - PLEASE BAN & BLOCK GPUMAX getwork/proxy access to your pool on: September 16, 2012, 06:10:18 AM
I will continue my 2.8 Gh/s on OZCOIN because it is an awesome pool.
To Graet...Keep doin' what your doin'
To the ones that are giving Graet grief...Why aren't you giving Pirate grief? Oh thats right because you can't! That's why you have redirected your anger towards an innocent pool operator that has never had any association with that Trendon fuck. Hell why aren't you all just mad at yourselves for just giving the scam artist more and more bitcoins to bail out with that much faster?

Here's a proposed thread for you to start:
Damn dude why did you have to give him all that shit so fast?!
OP "Leroy" first post- "Shit Johnny I told you not to give him 15,000 bitcoins that fast man! It's all your fault he bailed this soon!!! I'm gonna fuck you up!!!!"
"Johnny" second post - "Hell nah fuck you Leroy! It was the last batch of 10,000 bitcoins you invested that sent him over the edge and made him close up shop! If anyone is gonna get fucked up it's you bitch!"
"Leroy" - "Don't trust Johnny! His fault!!!"
"Johnny" - "Don't trust Leroy! His fault!!!"

To the guy who said he can't believe how people are treating Graet in this thread... forgive me but I have to ask the you a question. Are you really asking that question about a Bitcoin Forum thread?

The "download all files here" link is not working on the first page. Ready to give CGMiner a try but no download Huh

330  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ModMiner Quad High Efficiency FPGA Bitcoin Mining Devices 840Mh/s BTCFPGA.com on: September 04, 2012, 04:13:49 AM
I've only been mining for about 6 months now and I have only used gpu's till now. I know I will have to switch to asics when they arrive and I am trying to decide what direction to go. Sorry if this is a noob question but what pools could I possibly use this device at? Thanx

The software (BFGMiner) will be able to point it at any pool you want.

no shit! Thank you very much  Grin

I swear I see all these threads and they are all the same. Sounds like a couple of kids in the backseat repeating the same question over and over again.
Are we there yet? Are we there yet?Are we there yet? Knowing damn good and well.... Cry
333  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of the world are you willing to buy? on: August 20, 2012, 03:42:42 AM
Maybe im wrong but the market cap with all 21 million bitcoin out at a bitcoin price of 5$ is 105,000,000 $ in words - hundretandfivemillion us dollars.

For a really big investor or hedgefund for example this could be a realistic sum i think. So if theoretically one investor could buy up the whole market pretty much everything is possible. Or in other words, if 105 million people want to own 1 bitcoin @ 5$ there are no coins left.

1. Sure there will be 21 million coins eventually, but right now there are only less than half in existence. Will take another 12 years or so to reach about 20 million bitcoins.

2. Only 21 million people could own 1 bitcoin at a time. If they were divided equally amongst all individuals, 105 million people would only have about .2 bitcoins apiece.

I believe you may have a dud on your hands. I'm using a brand new one that I picked up a couple of weeks ago on new egg for $106 shipped/ and a free 1 year extended warantee. I'm running two 5850's overclocked to the max I could get them. It's a pretty nice psu for the $, and I plan to add 2 more 5850's to the system within a month. I would see about the rma before you accidently damage any of those precious gpus.
336  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Help] New HD7850x2 cannot mine at 100% on: May 23, 2012, 09:08:59 AM
@Andrew
Sorry, I should have given more details about not being able to add f flags on my setup. It is possible for me to give each miner an f value, but for some reason the miners will not respond correctly...at least for a long period of time. For example if I give both cards -f 0, one card will go full blast and the other will only mine at about 70%. So I figured I just can't use the same value for each card and tried -f 0 for one card and -f 1 for the other and it still does weird stuff and doesn't just keep a constant 99% on each card. If I use no f value on either, they both at least stay at 98%. I will do a little experimenting tonight to see if I can get it to work. I hope I explained my situation in enough detail and if you could help me get both the cards full throttle that would be awesome. Thanx for listening at least

Getting a bunch of invalid blocks again. Probably incorrect, just letting slush know if he hasn't already noticed. Thanx
339  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [Help] New HD7850x2 cannot mine at 100% on: May 14, 2012, 04:12:31 AM
I actually use 2 5850's with cf disabled mining with guiminer. I am unable to use any f value with both cards running at the same time. Nonetheless with -v -w 128 they both mine at 99%. Just for info purposes I was wondering what kind of hashrates your dual 7850 setup puts out. Also specific cards and clocks info would be nice to know as well. Thanks
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / 5830 no video, but is recognized by pc? on: April 27, 2012, 01:18:32 AM
I have an XFX 5830 non reference edition that does not output video. The only way I can get a computer to start with it installed is to use onboard video. Once the computer is up and running I can use various programs like Trixx and Afterburner to check and see if the card is recognized, I can even play with the fan which is working perfectly. I tried checking the bios to see if anything was wrong  because there was at least one previous ower, but it does have stock bios. Anytime I try and mine bitcoins with it the pc crashes. In gpuz I noticed in the "VDDC" voltage section is showing no voltage whatsoever. Also, when I click "start mining" on guiminer there is a brief spike in gpu activity just before the bsod. Anyone know if this card is fixable?
