Will it require liquid hydrogen to cool the superconducting magnets, or will it use new high Tc superconductors and liquid nitrogen? It will use superconducting magnets, right? Otherwise how is it going to suspect the spinning torus? Also, what will the fusion reactor run on? I'm assuming it won't just run on garbage like the one in Back to the Future - that's clearly not possible in real life - so will it need a special fuel? We need answers to these questions now, otherwise how are we to make estimates of mining profitability?

The new units will be even more aesthetically pleasing than the originals.
The updated FAQ on your website list it as almost the same dimensions as the current Single. So they won't be using the same cases? The dimensions are going to be quite a bit different than the current single. What page are you looking at that is quoting the dimensions as being similar to the current single?

http://www.butterflylabs.com/product-details/ Says that the current Single is: Dimensions: Length: 100mm Width: 100mm Height: 70mm
http://www.butterflylabs.com/faq/ Fourth from the bottom: What is the size and weight of the Single SC? Our Single SC is: 4" x 4" x 3" (10.16 x 10.16 x 7.6 cm)
This made me assume they would use the same enclosure, but you've said elsewhere that they will use a new enclosure.

Wonderful! Getting real physical dimensions is a good start... Add in power/heat, and we'll have some useful planning data for the Bitforce SC. Getting the same for the 1TH/MaxiRig would be great.

The current single is about 110x110x80 ... I will have to review that part of the website.
For the SC, that is the projected dimensions right now, but that is subject to change. I am pushing for a slightly larger, but more aesthetically pleasing outer shell at the moment.

What about the jalapeno? It's really hard to sell something that doesn't exist, if you can't even show what it will look like you know!

I'm guessing it will be about the same dimensions as every other USB coffee warmer out on the market? And ya, it's really hard to get 5000 orders with no pictures, isn't it?

There was talk of an 'internal PSU' for the SC single.
I hope that each SC single does not need to be plugged directly into the wall and instead will take a 12v supply.

The internal PSU bit on the website was a mistake. It's since been corrected. It will be an external PSU.

Any details on PSU size/voltage/etc? 1.21 Gigawatts! At 0.25V, of course.

So is this then going to be the same system as the current Singles, whereby there's a 12V power brick for every unit? Is it going to use the exact same voltage and barrel connector size/type as the current Single also? I would very much like to hook up all the units to an ATX PSU - in fact I'd have done this already with parts supplied by Cablez if I knew said cables would be compatible with the new unit.

If the power supply for the new SC single ends up being the same as used on the old singles, I hope they'll let us keep the old power supplies when we trade in the old singles. That would save on shipping.

But can you post the shell design of the jalapeno, so I can order one? I won't if it looks like a cupwarmer btw.
