101  Economy / Speculation / Re: The pollution from bitcoin will make government forbid it on: October 20, 2015, 04:26:33 PM
Organizations using fiats produce more pollution than bitcoin. That includes the banks. They have so many computer servers and employees.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: new highs possible only after memory fades on: October 20, 2015, 03:32:23 PM

in my opinion, the price bubble although inevitable is not a good thing it will cause a lot of users to stay away from such an unstable price, so all those efforts you mentioned in the end are going to be in vein.

They're hard to avoid. It's human nature to pile in and then run away. We're herd animals at heart.

We just hope the bubble is smaller than previous ones. Bigger bubble is bad for the reputation and adoption of bitcoin.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: yay btc goes ~$250 ! on: October 20, 2015, 03:20:59 PM
For about 16 hours the price of bitcoin has been increased.
At the moment it is around +3 dollars which makes me feel a bit more happy.
I think that it is the moment now to change the tittle to "yay btc goes ~$280" Smiley

I guess it might be some early celebrations. We must save our celebrations for $300 for more celebrations. with my analysis we can soon see $300 levels which would be a short term big target. On sustaining there we can see $320-$330.

There is no need to celebrate. In a few years, when we look back, $300 is too low.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: If it goes to $275, are you going to keep faith or just give up save the little. on: October 20, 2015, 08:28:22 AM
I'll keep holding my coins until I am dead.  Reason being is even it it skyrockets, why would I be selling them.  If it bottoms out, still why sell them.  I will always try and keep some coins, while maybe selling some to gain ends.

Use some and keep some. I use bitcoin to promote the adoption of bitcoin so as to increase the value of bitcoin.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Technical Analysis – How Low Can It Go? on: October 19, 2015, 07:02:14 PM
It can go down to 0.2 dollars, below the ICO price of Eth. The developers have to work hard to preserve the value of Eth.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report from the Shanghai Blockchain Summit on: October 19, 2015, 01:31:57 PM
Thanks for sharing. It is good to have first hand information about the discussion in the summit. Very interesting.
107  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MasterXchange is closing - get out now on: October 19, 2015, 11:55:54 AM
Never heard of them, but i think they just use recent stress as excuse to close their service because they suffer loss Roll Eyes
But, it's great to see them not to run away, because few small exchange did it before

At least, we don't another exchange become scam this time

Nowadays, an exchange is honorable if it does not steal customer money when it close its door.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: yay btc goes ~$250 ! on: October 19, 2015, 10:26:38 AM
I have coinbase on my other monitor all throughout the day, my day started here in my office with $268 and now it's down to $264, but it's just jumping from $264 - $267 level. So I guess this will be our rate for this week?
yes new range $260-$270
http://prntscr.com/8svo8c

we will stable at this range before we rise $300
yes the price is stable around $260-$270 since yesterday and i hope won't be down again to $250 in this month

Even if the price go below $250, it is still OK for the long term. We need consolidation for bitcoin price. It has risen fast.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: new highs possible only after memory fades on: October 19, 2015, 09:48:54 AM
People have short memory. They will forget about the recent 20 month bear market and chase bitcoin to very high level.
110  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 19, 2015, 08:22:05 AM
Well if you want to use bitcoin through bitcoin debit cards then you should use both of them.
Banks and bitcoins, i prefer more to be my own bank - bitcoin wallet.
You almost can buy anything with bitcoin just sometimes you get discount sometimes you should have to pay more fees.

I'm actually looking into getting a bitcoin debit card from a local exchange here. The only thing that's stopping me are the fees I might incur even when I'm not using it. Debit cards come in handy, especially if I don't have cash at hand and I need to buy something.

The bitcoin debit cards are good at least i consider good only for emergencies.
When you need the money in hurry/urgently then you have this debit card and could be better.
The fees are different from the providers but yeah the fees are that stops me too.

We will use bitcoin cards first. When it is not convenient for us to use bitcoin card, we can use fiat cards.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the commercial banks must hate bitcoin? on: October 18, 2015, 06:01:01 PM
Commercial banks hate Bitcoin because this will replace current financial system and offer more efficient and cost effective and faster transaction with more freedom.Banks use people's money from deposits to invest in other schemes to earn much more once Bitcoin goes mainstream there will not be only Bitcoin but also many digital currencies will put banking system in danger.

To banks bitcoin is an other currency. So I think banks will use bitcoin in the future if they can make more money.
112  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 18, 2015, 12:47:05 PM
Sad to say but I'm still using banks for some reasons. I can't fully rely my spendings to bitcoin uet since I can't pay for medical bills if in case some emergency happens. That's the only thing I use banks for, emergency, but other than that, I use bitcoin (sometimes with third-party payment processors) and it's actually doing well for me.

Which country do you live in? It seems you can use bitcoin for many things.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: October 18, 2015, 11:39:54 AM
I think that it will be take long for it to be used as regular money.

In fact, regular money took long to be used in its electronic version. I still know people that do not trust much on online bank transfers and payments. Due to Bitcoin being full online, well, it will take some time.

I am happy if it is a way to store value for some time.

I don't think even after Long time it will happen. Very difficult to replace the existing currencies with Bitcoin.

Bitcoin will coexist with existing currency for a long time. Fiat is easily printable by governments so goverments like it.
114  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: October 18, 2015, 11:11:47 AM
banks accepting bitcoin is contradictory with what bitcoin is!!!

bitcoin was created to make a decentralized money system that everybody can use on his own and never depend on a banking system for using their own money.

so I would never use a bank if there were any accepting bitcoin. I prefer keeping my bitcoins on my own even if they pay interest I wouldn't do it.

If bitcoin is the only currency and there is no fiat. Banks dealing with bitcoin only. Will you apply mortgage from a bank?
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gemini failed, they said. Bitcon will not go up, they said. GOAL: 500$ on: October 18, 2015, 08:29:46 AM
gemini helps bitcoin enter Wall Street. It is regulated, so the Wall Street big financial companies will trade there.
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC PRICE GOIN UPPPPPP!!! on: October 18, 2015, 07:07:27 AM
It is quite good and positive for the people who were optimistic to see some increase in price.I think this trend of rise in price will be constant with accumulation and corrections till next year and we will see 500 $ figure once again somewhere at the start of next year .
No because it was 300 two months ago. We are pedaling backwards.

If the price breaches $320, we are not pedalling backwards, but forwards.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: It is Buy time! on: October 18, 2015, 06:47:08 AM
It is still time to buy even in coming days there can be some correction but overall If price stays stable over 250 USD/Bitcoin mark I will see it a new base for next rise. This upwards trend will be on continuous basis and old times will be seen soon.May be this rise in price just keep going up with correction at this level. It is good to arbitrage but wise decision will be to not sell your all holdings.

Consolidation within $260 for a few weeks will be good for the medium term
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Elasticity and inelasticity of bitcoin's supply and demand on: October 17, 2015, 08:03:23 PM
The effect of remittance is zero if one buys Bitcoin in the U.S. And sell in Philippines
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gemini failed, they said. Bitcon will not go up, they said. GOAL: 500$ on: October 17, 2015, 11:58:54 AM
As for the timing of your post (you haven't sold yet?!):

Why? Because of a price correction? It's part o every uptrend...

Sure, just like the price correction from $1200 (which is still not fully correctededed) Undecided

@cellard, I remember when 56% of Bitcoiners Believed the Bitcoin Price Will Reach $10k in 2014 Cheesy

damn right you remember, that's why you made a newbie account, because your old account was so full of truth, the forum can't even handle it.

$10k was a reasonable target for 2014, bitcoin is currently just massively undervalued. Take advantage of that fact.

Or don't, either way is fine with me. But don't come crying to me when bitcoin finally DOES correct itself to its true value.

$10k is a reasonable target for 2020. Bitcoin price could reach $10k earlier.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: October 17, 2015, 11:52:34 AM
Some computer components. Most online companies which accept bitcoin are related by technology products.
