Prices updated to reflect the rally from $6.50 to $8.50.
I said I'd only change them in extreme circumstances and this seems fairly extreme.

Hi Luceo, I see from your registration date that you are new around here, and my initial post was very short, so let me explain why it's so funny. RealSolid (aka CoinHunter and countless other fake personas) is a guy who has led a campain against Bitcoin for quite some time now. SolidCoin/MicroCash is supposed to be the worlds greatest cryptocurrency. Read http://solidcoin.info/solidcoin-ready-for-bitcoin-collapse.php for just one example of his rhetoric. MicroCash is just SolidCoin version 3, since version 1 and 2 failed spectactularly, he had to rename it to try to avoid the negativity from all the failed SolidCoin versions. If he had asked for SolidCoins as donations I wouldn't make fun of him. So for him to beg for Bitcoins of all things, when he's so anti-Bitcoin, is quite ironic. I'm new to the forum, not to the cryptocurrency scene. I'm aware that there's been animosity between Solidcoin supporters and Bitcoin supporters with shit-slinging from both sides, and I don't want to get into that. There are good and bad points about Solidcoin, but it's worth mentioning that even through these lows, Solidcoin community has stuck together and already thrown >50 BTC ($450) in that pot. I do wonder why he isn't accepting Solidcoin donations. There is always the argument that he doesn't want to crash the Solidcoin price even further, which would be the only legitimate way to get rid of ~$2200 of volume.

I guess the real world equiv is like more than half the people rocking up to the bar with monopoly money, and arguing with the bar tender it's real money, who has an obsession with listening to more than half of the people.
In the real world, we'd not do this, we'd trust our experience of knowing what money looks likes, why dont we simply build into the software something to check the entropy of the submitting-nodes of new work is roughly the same as over the last X blocks? e.g. not a brand new set of hosts all shouting it. The problem with this analogy is that there isn't a 'bartender' in Bitcoin. This is why Solidcoin used trusted nodes. The argument is how do we implement a bartender with the least centralization possible?

As a holder of YARR and CPA, I would like to add to what puffn and macboy80 have said.
Usagi clowns around in IRC, I don't see that as a bad thing. Yes, this is business, but that's just Usagi's personality and I don't think it affects the way CPA or YARR are run.
I have always received dividends in a timely fashion, I have always received amiable and timely communications from Usagi when required, I look forward to continuing to do business with Usagi.

About Fennec Internet ServicesFennec Internet Services offers Xen VPS hosting in Coventry, UK and soon also in Zlin, CZ. We pride ourselves on offering only quality VPS & Dedicated Server solutions. What can we offer? - Quality Server Hardware - Whilst some providers use desktop components to keep down costs, FIS offers Xeon processors, FBDIMM RAM, hard-drives with RAID redundancy, hosted in accredited datacenters with multiple gigabits of connectivity.
- No Overselling - All Fennec Internet Services plans are backed by hardware. RAM, hard drive space & bandwidth are dedicated to your VPS and are not available to any other users.
- Xen Technology - Xen hypervisor is fast, mature, secure and stable. We always deploy Xen XSA security patches within 24 hours of release. Performance tests have shown that Xen PV is faster than KVM, and it is used by huge companies like Amazon, Rackspace, Oracle and Citrix.
- Full Control - You have full root access, full kernel control (this is not OpenVZ) and full choice of operating system within the parameters of Xen PV or HVM.
We only accept Bitcoin and major altcoins. We do not accept payment in any fiat currencies. Speed Test100MB File & IP Address available upon request by e-mail or on IRC. They will not be published here because doing so would encourage denial of service attacks which could adversely affect VPS performance. If Bitcoinica does part-payback but not 100% payback, does the part-payback go to the lender or to you?

Now that Litecoin is safe, let's go back to insulting other blockchains?
He's no more 'begging' than every kickstarter project out there. Crowdfunding is not new.
Crowdfunding an open-source project seems sensible. Coding is time-consuming.
Disclosure: I put a few (more than 1, less than 10) BTC in there.

8 Solidcoin sales already! Watch out Litecoin. How many tickets left ? Nearing the half way point yet ? About 1/4 sold. Just sold another 17 pending payment. at this rate BFL will rls their singles prior to this selling out Well, about 70 sold in the last 5 days so yeah, quite possibly. Not sure if that would be a terrible thing, the ASICs will still be the best mining devices you can get then too.

Scammer tag? No. Those are reserved for people who make trade deals and back out of them. I don't think (s)he should be punished for failing to 51% an alt chain.
Lying Fuck tag? Maybe.

Personally think DannyMaddox may well be BCX, however:
If it is true that somebody called him up at work and threatened him with a car bomb, you are a despicable individual.
If it is true that somebody called up his daughter and made threats, you are an even more despicable individual.
If it's all smoke and mirrors to try to get the board infighting, don't go for it. Leave it to the police.

Actually looking at it I agree with you. And whilst I agree with Psy that foxes don't have to wear clothes, it makes no sense for him to have a shirt on and (seemingly) no pants.
Just didn't occur to me before, I didn't specify the color of the clothes in the request to the artist.
Will get that changed. Good spot.

the whole furry-anthro-fox stuff is weird
Yeah, is it naked in that datacenter? I don't think many of your customers "roll that way" Does it look naked? Is this a serious discussion? I can get the artist to change the color of the pants if that's likely to be a concern. o.O

Have already paid out 0.7 BTC without having a winner on day 1, so that takes the total potential payout to 6.2 BTC (around $54) so far. Keep it coming. ^^

Smoothie, what counts as a good domain name?
A username? [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/smoothie error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"}
Oh right, not taken...
How about something closer to home? [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/getrich error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"} [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/altcoins error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"} [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/speculate error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"}
Those aren't taken either...
Common *coin terms? [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/confirmation error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"} [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/genesisblock error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"} [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/51percent error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"} [luceo@zorua ~]$ namecoind name_show d/doublespend error: {"code":-4,"message":"failed to read from name DB"}
And still some there too... bet most of the above .coms are taken.
And if you want to use .bit as a DNS service for a business, you've got a lot of options open to you, since your business name is unlikely to be a common term. The only people who would end up handing over fees are those who run existing Bitcoin businesses and failed to adopt Namecoin early.
In exactly the same way that early adopters are rewarded in Litecoin and Bitcoin, they are rewarded in Namecoin. Abundance cannot exist forever. Would you rather have centralization or domain squatters?
