144  Economy / Gambling / Re: [PRIVATE BET] Luceo & Xisalty: Bitcoin vs Litecoin Price Bet on: September 20, 2012, 09:36:33 AM
This is a bet between Luceo and xisalty, to be settled at 23:59 UTC on 31st December 2012.

If the last traded price on BTC-e in the pair LTC/BTC is lower than 0.004 BTC per LTC at the time of settlement, xisalty will send 10 Bitcoins to 1NywtxytKx1LLHTMT475hkKoCdZPZJYpsB.

If the last traded price on BTC-e in the pair LTC/BTC is equal to or higher than 0.004 BTC per LTC at the time of settlement, Luceo will send 10 Bitcoins to 1Gsx5wKDaSDuEyPeNg5W9EGXRTLrg9nkaA*.

In the event that BTC-e is no longer trading at the time of settlement, the bet shall be declared a draw.

I will wait for xisalty to confirm this. Putting this here in public so that it doesn't get forgotten, or the terms reneged upon, or anything else of that nature.

* Note (SEPTEMBER 17TH 2012 04:23 UTC): xisalty requested an address change in post 11 which Tittiez quoted in post 12, this is why the address which appears here is different to that quoted below by deego.

147  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How secure is Blockchain.info on: September 16, 2012, 02:04:20 PM
If you feel uncomfortable, why don't you use you own wallets (cold storage, offline etc) and have blockchain's wallet only for temporary storage of btc?

I will be receiving all shipments in Euro by mail, but not Greek-banknotes
(banknote-number begins with Y).

Really, that's no use.
149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it worth going solo? on: September 16, 2012, 10:56:57 AM
If you have money to buy some serious mining gear stuff, perhaps you could go solo. Take a look in other threads, there's plenty of info around.

156  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and TOR on: September 03, 2012, 01:12:31 PM
We're very close to adding much improved Tor support to Bitcoin, so it will most likely be in 0.7.0.

Among other things:
  • Support for running as and connecting to Bitcoin hidden services
  • Peer exchange of Bitcoin hidden services
  • Non-leaking DNS seeding via proxy

thanks for this.
Anyway, i've just tried bitcoin over Tor and works pretty well.
