Another thing is I have one avalon hashrate at 65G, another only 55G.

Both 282 mhz.

Looks like some chips are not working. an Avalon has 240 chips so thats 250mhz for each chip.
So i would say 20 chips are not working, weird that its exactly 20, maybe a part of a is not working.
A slot has 8 times 10 chips so maybe 2 sets of 10 not getting power? whats your power usage?

yes i think you are right.

i need a screw tomorrow ....

but i'm afraid of mess things up Smiley maybe the second avalon will say good bye to me after tomorrow.

ahh ..Yes!!
I found the PSU are not the same!
maybe I'll change the psu first!!
123  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: is it safe to set core frequency to 300Mhz (Extreme) for avalon? on: April 04, 2013, 02:49:38 PM
another one unlucky.  55G -> 56G only.

Are you running the latest firmware? And this happens no matter what clock rate the chips are running at? What do the temps say? Are the fans spinning at above 1000 rpm and can you feel the air flowing?

both the latest firmware of 0325. it seemd over clock doesn't help.
the temp3 are both 44. ( I have turn on air condition and set to 21 degree room temp.)

fans are 2200 rpm. air pressure are good. and I have additional cooling fans outside.

Everything are the same of both machine :  same pool, same firmware, in the same room.

Avalon is a team combine of super talent technology + poor logistics management.

After having carefully considered all that has gone on, I think this might be very unfair on Avalon. It's reasonable to assume that the lack of communication was an attempt at trying to quietly, and without fuss, get the units out to customers without having to cope with monumental battles with a customs system that isn't exactly egalitarian. In other words, they tried to sneak them out of the country, so they wouldn't get delayed and forced to bribe too many officials.

So, I very much doubt the all this public wailing and teeth gnashing has improved the situation at all. I can imagine a frustrated Avalon team, looking at everyone discussing the details ad infinitum, and feeling pretty nervous.

You didn't get the point. I'm a domestic customer. So there is no customs.

Anyway, it's here, I'm just put my macbook on the avalons .... So after complain,  still say thanks to Ngzhang & Yifu.

thanks.
I just tried with 1 avalon, it's 66G -> 72G .
looks stable. the temp is 42 -> 44
and fan 1260 -> 1960
127  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch 1, (two units) received this morning on: April 04, 2013, 01:06:23 PM
check the statistics in the pool site not in Avalon.
sometimes Avalon cgminer statistics reports faulty (much less) accepted shares with a low utility (15-30)
correct utility should be over 900 Smiley

thank you.
yes, I got a low utility, one is 44 another is 50.

but it's >400 , 2 hours ago ....

128  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: is it safe to set core frequency to 300Mhz (Extreme) for avalon? on: April 04, 2013, 10:54:01 AM

and, and ,how about the different of utility?

How about your hashrate at 282Mhz?

it's very strange 1 of them is only 55, while another is 65.

strange ....
134  Bitcoin / Hardware / is it safe to set core frequency to 300Mhz (Extreme) for avalon? on: April 04, 2013, 05:07:35 AM
the default is 282, and hashrate is  60G.

Does anyone tried to set it to 300?
135  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Batch 1, (two units) received this morning on: April 04, 2013, 05:06:02 AM
sorry I mean batch #1, 2 units.
order no #200000357.

And ozco.in report my workers idle 20 minutes ago, while the accept number still jumping in avalon gui.

After change to btcguild ,everything back to normal.

So, slush's and ozco are  abnormal this morning, at least for me.

136  Bitcoin / Hardware / Batch 1, (two units) received this morning on: April 04, 2013, 03:46:46 AM
Just got call from SF express and hurry up grap my 2 units.

It works like a monster , amazing!
So simple and easy to use.

using ozco.in, cause when using slush's, it have huge reject amount.

Sure I was worried when I didn't receive my units at March. I should receive much earlier , for I order and paied at the very begining.

Avalon is a team combine of super talent technology + poor logistics management.

It cost me a lot when I receive units late for near 30 days. It's absolute  unfair.

But, this is Avalon after all, is not a common DELL or Apple iMac. So, what can I do except waiting?

Finally, Congratulations! You deliver! You are far far far more better than bASIC or BFL.

137  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Who else from Avalon batch 1 hasn't received a unit or shipping information? on: April 03, 2013, 10:43:17 AM
we got a new bunch of problem addresses on the first of April, so you'll probably be contacted soon if you are on the list.

So how about domistic orders?
Or you also export domestic orders like #357 to hongkong and back import to Shanghai?
138  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Somebody is trying to steal batch 1 Avalon shippments from DHL! on: April 02, 2013, 06:48:46 PM
could any one tell me, how to give a non-exist tracking number to our customers?

first, we send the packages to HK-DHL agent.

agent transport them to HK, a few days time.

packages picked up at HK.

after about 1 week, they will give us the tracking number if we ask for.

to most country, 1 week time is enough for a delivery.

if anything goes wrong, like custom issues happened or wrong tel number or something , our agent will call us, give us the tracking number, let us contect with our customer. i think multiple people get my email when they having custom issues or DHL can not find you.

why we use such a screwed work flow?

1, save shipment cost.
2, if we go to DHL directly, they didn't accept this device, there is PSU and FANs in it, which is contraband. only these agent can send them out by doing some bribery work. if we tell them we are not satisfied, they simply ask us to deal with DHL ourself instead.

fuck

i doubt some terrible thing happen: my units shipping to Shanghai may be in somewhere Hongkong or China Custom.....
139  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Somebody is trying to steal batch 1 Avalon shippments from DHL! on: April 02, 2013, 01:50:24 PM
So, would you please check SF express to Shanghai, #357 ....

Sorry to bother you ...

 Cheesy
