what is going on??
I go to bed with 6 difficulty and woke up at 65.1
hash rate is 3.57 GH/s
OMFG.
what is going on???
You went to bed either difficulty at 30. And what's going on is that it's getting adopted quickly and price and hash rises

Try with 1 card disabled for fun?
Didn't help much. It's frustrating knowing that I should be getting 2+mh per card, but am actually getting <1.6... I hate when things aren't as efficient as they could be. What driver are you using? AMD Catalyst 13.4 (12.104.0.0 March 28) I think I had quite a few issues with the drivers/cards initially, so I'd be hesitant to change drivers. those are fairly old drivers. Im fairly confiendent your problem starts there. The newer drivers are really golden. Golden, you say? Which drivers are you using? I use 13.12. It's really amazing compared to anything below 13.9. 14.1 beta isn't too good for me though I just updated to 13.12 and now I'm running at 2+mh. I didn't think the change in drivers would make that much of a difference but it definitely has.. 1.5mh to 2+mh I really appreciate the help. Simply updating the driver has increased my hashrate by about 33%! It's not necessarily that older drivers are slower or anything, there is just so many bug fixes and updated ADK and just overall smoother. X11 probably needs some stuff in newer ADKs to work properly

The price is skyrocketing it use to be steady at over .002 =/ its coming back but not exactly "sky rocketing" EDIT: oh oops. I thought I was in the darkcoin forum LOL. yea you are right it is sky rocketing .002 ? You're crazy there are 672 million coin... You're crazy and have no reading comprehension whatsoever? Also, there is a big difference between 672 million coin in several years and 10 million coin right now.

Rrunning 280x MSI Gaming @ 2.25 MH:
"intensity" : "13 "lookup-gap" : "1", "gpu-threads" : "2", "gpu-engine" : "1150-1150", "auto-fan" : true, "gpu-fan" : "0-85", "gpu-memclock" : "1500", "gpu-powertune" : "20", "temp-cutoff" : "95", "temp-overheat" : "85", "temp-target" : "80", "temp-hysteresis" : "3", "vectors" : "1", "kernel" : "darkcoin"
I'm running three Sapphire 7970s and can't get them over 1.6 mh each. Also, sgminer won't load my gpu engine/mem or autofan settings.. neither through a config nor bat I've tried the same config as you (with different engine settings), as well as many others. Any ideas? do you have the latest version of sph-sgminer? Check engine clock in miner UI. Sometimes miner can not set correct frequency.
Thanks. I updated to the latest version and that has helped a great deal. Before I couldn't see temps or change engine clock/etc in UI, now I can. Also, it's now loading everything from .bats. However, I'm still topping out at 1.5xx mh per card.
I'll keep playing with the settings.. but it seems the 7970s should get similar results as the 280s with similar settings (since they're essentially the same cards, right?)
EDIT: Using the same settings I use for normal scrypt gets me max 1.5xx mh with x11 currently, whereas those settings get me 730-740mh when running scrypt.
Maybe try a g1 setting with 24k ish thread concurrency and i20 That gives me .05 mh more per card. G 2, TC 8192, I 13 has given me the best performance when running scrypt with these 7970s, but I'm inexperienced with x11 and I'll definitely try whatever you suggest. Have you (or anyone else reading) seen any difference when adjusting raw/experimental intensities? Everyone else seems to be getting 2+mh easy.. apparently I'm doing something wrong somewhere lol Donīt running X11 mining after scrypt. It can decrease speed. If You mined some scrypt coin, try reboot PC before running sph-sgminner. Or try reset GPU with MSI AfterBurner (litle change some setting and click Apply).
I did restart and try fresh to no avail. Try g2 with i20 (I've had some actually run that way, don't ask me why, or how, just happened on like 2 rigs with 7970s). I don't usually even mention it but seems to be acting the same as those systems did for me

my argument was that is stupid to say "it's a litecoin clone" because then, they are basically all bitcoin clone, which is not the point, we can differentiate them and don't call them a clone if they offer something new, but hiro doesn't offer anything new, is just a pure clone
also anonimity will push bitcoin forward, i see it as a good thing
if you really want to mine something energy efficient other than darkcoin, there is heavycoin
so the list of coins you support is better than all others? Should run for president. And my argument was that your claim about clones not doing so well has no historical backing. Let me guess, you bought in heavycoin ipo and now suffering a loss?

Why should I mine this instead of Darkcoin? =)
darkcoin with its dynamic reward algorithm makes it a poor choice for miners. It will only be good for miners if price increases even more drastically than with fixed reward coins, which makes it more un probable to suceed at higher hash rates. Another reason is that darkcoin focuses on its anonymity, while that all sounds cool, for mainstream, it would be very hard to get accepted because it's use would be seen as malicious because honestly, who needs to hide their money transfer THAT MUCH? Those who wants to do bad thing. Basically, this is a coin that is the best replacement for scrypt. all good, but clone are not seen well, and this is just a clone... first, this was forked from litecoin. Second, darkcoin is as much a clone of anything else. Third, the reasons I mentioned are inherent no matter what. darkcoin is not a clone of anything, there was no other coin using x11 a change in mining algorithm makes it not a clone? :S. And if that's what you mean by clone, I can name multiple coins that had success besides litecoin. .. Also, ultracoin performs better than yacoin, which was the first with scrypt-jane if you want to play this game, then litecoin is a bitcoin clone too, frankly they are all Bitcoin clone also darkcoin is anonymous, even if you hate it, guess what? bitcoin will be too well no, I'm following your lead, you said darkcoin is not a clone because it was the first with X11. It'd the same as saying litecoin is not a clone of bitcoin. You would have a hard time arguing with anyone that litecoin isn't a clone because it has a different algorithm, yet that was your argument? And people got hyped about darkcoin and it's super anonymity. But I said already, it's a double edged sword, mainstream will always dismiss darkcoin because of the inherent fact that nothing legal requires that much anonymity. So some say it's an innovation, others will say it's gonna hinder. For those, there's hirocoin.

Post your .bat. Sounds like you misspelled something or didn't set kernel to darkcoin "kernel" : "darkcoin", .bat set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=100 set GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=1 C:\Users\Mining1\Desktop\sph-sgminer-master\sgminer.exe --config C:\Users\Mining1\Desktop\sph-sgminer-master\sgminer.conf Post your config. .. your directory doesn't tell me much. How did you measure your watt usage?
With an energy meter you put on the wall plug. It has a digital display and shows wattage, voltage, costs according to price for the kwh etc. Quite convenient. i'm using a wattmeter too, and mining hirocoin (compared to scypt coins like auroracoin or einsteinium) lowered my power comsumption by more than 300w.. it was around 720w - three gpus, now it's around 400w, much cooler and quieter, and around 3 times the hashrate i like this coin for me, all my rigs are 4 x 290s (some x, some non x). I went from 1500w to 700w more than half! I didn't mind the electricity cost that much (lower better obviously, but still, it's pennies on the dollar compared to what I make). But damn, the reduced heat and noise, plus the added lifespan of both the cards and fans and especially PSU (PSUs fry easily at max load)
