Does Stealth really give me a Evading bonus?
It don't feel like it changed anything on evading.

I hope you guys remember Orbital Cannon nerf. was promised a long time ago. We actually really considered removing it from the game completely, but that would've been extremely unfair to players who invested in it. However, our logs show it's being used very actively these days, so we were prompted to hurry up with the nerf, before the whole galaxy is "reformatted" back to void state.

Couple thoughts Toe, as to the marketplace being a big driver of trade I would think that rather than galaxy-wide shortages of things, it might be wiser to simply have different things available at different stations at different times. That way, maybe a station has what you need, maybe it doesn't, maybe it's worth jumping around to find it, or maybe it's easier to go the marketplace.

But also, I think there needs to be more players in the game before the marketplace really "fills out" so to speak.

The game would've played much differently and much better with, say, 1000 players...

To that end, I think focusing on features that make the game more fun to play will drive more players to the game. I mean sure some people just see this as a means to an end (satoshi) but I think the game has real potential for players who are looking just to have some fun.

I don't know what you have in the pipeline development wise but there's a lot of room to grow on the fun end, I think.

We have about 400 tickets in the database, ranging from small bugs, to minor to major gameplay features... Right now, we're concentrating on bug fixes the most, but hopefully time will come to bring other stuff too.



Why not to change NPC market resource availability:
Green planets: Copper-Argentum
Yellow planets: Gold-Timonium
Red planets: Sapphire-Dilithium
Similar with plates etc.

Yeah, I kinda like this too. We have a similar ticket on the list, I'll add this bit.

Bugs?

Ads in the top advertising block in SG1 lead straight to coinzilla not to the actual advertisers site. I don't know if this is effecting your earnings or not.

Additionally ads in the second (middle bottom) block states (SG1 again) "advertise in this spot" lead me to a blockadz site which displays a 404 error for site not found.

It appears blockadz has died as a service, expect it to be removed soonish. The were supposed to send us some satoshi, oh well.



As for the discussion. I've read all of it, but I just can't reply to everything with quotes, like I usually do, there's just too much stuff :)

However, I'll comment on some points.

1. Planet ownership. It's not a problem for us, they are indeed not as profitable as newbies may think, and on top of that, the number of planets is limited. So, from financial standpoint, one player owning ALL THE PLANETS is the same thing as 1-planet-per-player situation or whatever permutation of those.

2. We will adjust the crafting / cooldown rates. For guys following the development process, it shouldn't be a surprise, we often first introduce the feature, then iron out the bugs in said feature, then finally fine-tune the actual numbers. So chances are, crafting will become easier again in the following updates.

3. Posting your earnings is not necessary, I mean, feel free to do it, but we're not upset about it in any way, this is the point of the game (to some) anyway.

4. There is a clear conflict of interests in regards to players who play just to play and players who play to withdraw. Former deserve faster earning rates, later deserve slower, and we're kinda stuck in-between those two realities. I believe I said it before: without the withdrawal feature, the game would've been balanced entirely differently, with things taking days and hours instead of months and days. Similarly, the equipment cooldowns would've been seconds, not minutes.

5. The main resource in the game is satoshi. Skills, time, gear, ships, planets, allies, information, etc -- are all important. However, your real progress is measured in satoshi, because you can simply buy lots of stuff you need. And that was a problem, even without the withdrawal aspect. You need something that costs 250k? No problem, click-click-click, 250k worth of stuff crafted. Need something that's worth a mil? No problem either. I'm exaggerating here, but this was bothering us for a long time.

Side-note: for the same reason, shortage was met with some hostility. It was the only thing stopping people from buying stuff. Money was never a problem. Which is wrong.

6. Ability to buy everything is a two-edged sword. We can't turn it off, because the game is supposed to work even with one lone player online (he can't rely on marketplace in that case), but without the cooldown, people were just buying everything off NPCs and not giving the marketplace proper attention.

By design, you were never supposed to be able to craft everything on your own, it was always supposed to be a team effort. Some people smelt stuff, some people make circuits out of that stuff, other people make components, etc.



Oh, one more thing worth mentioning. The bitcoin network is acting very slow this month, at least that's how we see it. The faucet balances were supposed to be refilled long time ago, the transactions are just not confirming :( So, just so you know, it's not a deliberate measure on our end.

how much can I earn in this site?

Can't really tell. Something like 12 satoshi per 5 minutes :) After you upgrade your ship, 500-1000 satoshi per hour? Veteran crafters were making around 500k-1mil per day, but today's update should make it harder for them.




I did the killing damage to doomsday, then a few moments later he hit me with an ancient laser wrecking my ship, even though I'd already done the last damage.

Relativity theory and speed of light: it shot laser beam out before yours reached it  :D

Hehe, I like this. Beats telling people "our server can and often does process events out of order" or "there's a known problem with race conditions" every time.



Either way I feel rightfully jipped out of Doomsday loot there.

Very sorry to hear that, but that's just how SG rolls. You can get shot while docking to a station or even jumping to another sector, can't really be helped without full server re-write.

  • [ENC] Introduce crafting masteries/item excellence.*

  • [SG2] Make cargo/equipment item tooltips hide when necessary.

* Equipment crafters now have a chance to create "excellent" items. In addition to improved durability, some of the stats might get a boost! NPCs will not pay you extras for such items, and marketplace is not really ready to correctly deal with them either, but they should work at least.

** Critical hits may occur when you get a perfect "natural" roll. This doubles the hull/def.grid damage. Ion, and other damage is not multiplied.

*** Whelp, the time has finally come to nerf crafters once more. I know full-well, NOBODY is going to be happy with this change, but crafters drain our faucet balances too fast. Note: the cooldown time is not added linearly, the more you want to craft per one click, the longer it will take to cooldown. This is done to offset the "craft in batches to minimize burns" thing that appeared against our will after batch crafting became a thing.

I am flying with 2 basic reactors, and energy restore is broken today. Ship stats say the rate is 15 (which is kind of not fair, should be 20, but this has been the case for a long time). However, the actual restore rate is 10, and this is new.

On reactors stacking: we actually went through multiple phases with this, going from "do not stack at all" (completely not fair) to "everything is just added together" (proved to be too over-powered) to the middle-ground we have now.

As for your actual enquery, yeah, I'm betting you are using ones with low durability.



Unable upgrade warehouse in SG2, or can't find right button.

I think it's under "Build" button.

Full disclosure: there was a bug with his transaction, so we're still not 100% reliable in receiving BTC. Please report any problems to me, I'll try to resolve those ASAP.



@matek1234, I've checked your planet, and it looks like everything is fine.

When it says "unknown", it could mean anything from 5 minutes to many hours, I believe you just have to wait for a little longer. If it still doesn't work after a day or two, please PM me.

I think you did not understand me correctly at the last time. It is about the repair of a reactor. 1/1 durability. From screenshots I try to explain what I mean. I think this is a bug.

According to my logic would now have to be read "durability 1/0". But there is now a durability of 0/0 and thus the reactor is broken and can no longer be used. Thus a repair would be nonsensical and useless.

I'm expecting a repair that is successful that I can continue to use the repairs equipment until this drops from 1/0 to 0/0. This is a bug for my understanding. Since after a successful repair of 0/1 would have to change

to 1/0 and thus still be functional. In this example, the value of durability changes from 0/1 to 0/0. This is confusing and I do not think it is logical.

No, you can't have 1/0 durability, current durability is always less than or equal to maximum durability. Like I said before, you made a good point, with 0/1 equipment being unrepairable in principle, I've already added this to the list.


With the next mistake I am not sure whether it is a bug or whether it is so wanted. This is the "cloaking device". If I load another player with the "Cloaking Device" I get a skill point on "Stealth". If I load my own space

ship with it then I do not get a skill point on "stealth". Is this so wanted or is it a bug?

Yup, already reported before, and likely to be changed so that cloaking own ship gives skill points too.

2. Can we finaly just do something with font that is showing bp needed components? Realy making me crazy since I started playing game. Stealth - should give skill points when applyed on your own ship. I can understand for shield and hull since you wana push team play, but for stealth just dont make any sence. Kinda feel stupid having 0 skill after using it for a week. If anything, stealth is *lone wolf*/*sneeky pirate* skill.

SG1. Goods selling on planet not working. There is no Sell button, it is possible set but/sell items from cargo instead warehouse.

I think you can't see those buttons on your own planet. If you were on someone's else planet, please confirm this, and I'll it to the list.

Get shot in Orange sector and my hull is burning 30 seconds, but when i jump into Green sector hull not burning and i can dock to station. Is it normal?

It's gameplay quirk, which doesn't make much sense, but we'll probably not going to fix this any time soon.



I have no quests in SG1. in couple of weeks :( In SG2. I do not know where search for them :(

I believe it's possible to "run out" of quests. I'll double-check this.

If it bug about pop-up window when liftoff/undock, then it appears at least when undocking, not influence on anything except delay for actions.

There is "hopping" cargo: when i buy ore and craft plate, i can see that my ore in cargo hop from ore to plate, then back to ore! ;D and then again to plate.

I think i found a bug,

You can unmount equipment with cooldown, if you click on it and mount something on this spot (like my reactor this time)

and if you relode the site the cooldown is away and you can use the Equipment again

I think you can use it on every gear with Cooldown ( Weapons,Mining Gear,Support gear)

Dear toecutter,

I have an Advanced Reactor with 1/1 durability. Yesterday he did not produce any energy. Then I successfully repaired the reactor in the station and then the reactor had 0/0 durability. According to my understanding

would have to be read however: 1/0 durability.

Nope, you can't repair anything above the 0 value. I guess it's worth mentioning in some tooltip or maybe disabling such attempt completely. I've added it to the list.

For other cases, see the tooltip on your screenshots. Maximum durability always goes down as you repair. Current durability might go up, if you are successful. But you might fail too, depending on your luck (and Engineering skill).

Good idea. Keep in mind, however, that it's nearly impossible to predict complete failure with that much accuracy. Reactors don't waste durability while they are not charging your ship, and even when they do, it's semi-random.

In SG2 energy bar ''regenerates'' energy and synchronizing with actual amount only once after you did something all other time it shows wrong amount until page refresh. Synchronizing energy bar with actual amount every minute will show more accurate amount of energy.

We'll try to address the energy bar issue(s) in the next SG2 update.



So, the last couple weeks i think it's time to complain about the ads.  I know you've heard it all before but that damn extreme sports video is such a crippler.. and just now I had a redirect ad that took me right out of the game, and automatically opened a save file dialogue.  I tried to hit the back button and noticed in the list of past sites it was just filled with this stupid redirect site endlessly.  I had to relogin to the game because of this.  Not sure what is more annoying, the redirects or the amount of time the extreme sports ad comes up and chokes my computer for 30 seconds.
Also I concur about the extreme sports ad. It completely locks you down, I wrecked twice in one night because I would jump to a system and not be able to act for 30 seconds. Really problematic.

Ugh, no, actually we were under the impression we fixed our ad problems (by removing "ubercpm" ad provider). I guess not :( Thanks guys, I'll look into it (probably with a bit of your help).



Toecutter, have the devs considered making withdrawal to Litecoin an option too? Just a thought.

Sure, and all kinds of fun coins too (given faucethub/epay supports them). However we haven't even integrated DOGE properly into the game yet...

If we ever add more coins, Litecoin is definitely the first to go.

Regarding the inventory fulfillment to planets by others, haven't tried this recently.  Does it still allow players to land on your planet to fulfill orders?  Because if it does, it does open up a door to espionage or malicious intents such as dropping off alien virus.  I probably wouldn't use this feature unless there was a secure way of doing it, like a loading dock on the planet that wouldn't allow players to see any activities or tamper.  :P

No, this change was reverted, as the rules were confusing enough. The "everyone can land" checkbox is your end-all setting, which is not overridden by anything (except squad and alliance laws).



I dont know hows that work. Can you give some insights? Does Qlosseum shows on some sector and there players can skirmish against eachother? That would be awesome for Qlosseum to have some sheudule or warning when it will be available. People need to plan their time to plane their PvP we all have different time zones, jobs and daily choirs that we need to plan out for such kind of events make any sense at all.

That's the thing, people are spread all over the globe to organize this properly. So we opted for Qlosseum appearing more often instead. Hopefully, one of those times enough people will be online/interested to participate.

Schedule sounds interesting, though, I've added this to the list.
