OK, so we're still understaffed and underpowered and I'm still the last line of defense on this sinking ship ;) but here are some news:

- We've received a VERY generous donation from a player (THANK YOU), thus
- We've finally upgraded the server (should help with the lag)
- There are no more ads at all, leading to
- Coffee Beans now give you 3x (instead of 2x) skill-up multiplier
- (and we will probably add more features for premium members, so they can still feel special)

In addition, Doomsday construction time has been halved once again (giving you even more time to prepare/take it out), AND we have rebased all prices once again as you asked.

Sorry for not giving out any X-MAS gifts this year :( I guess it's a bit late for that now. We'll probably do this on some other upcoming holiday instead.

All CPUs have been restored and I've sent some extra-low-fee-transaction to replenish the faucet balances.

@zuzoovn, there's no way to avoid the fees, I'm guessing making larger transactions is the only answer at the moment.

zaiusz, I promise, there's no personal persecution going on. We always considered you a good player for the various reasons, the ones listed among them. I'll try to collect some stats if you insist.

Doomsday routes are indeed all pretty similar to each other, but as far as I know, should vary... I've added this to the list.

IN ANY CASE:

- All planet owners have received some compensation satoshi into the tip jar
- Planetary production speeds have been doubled (for a while, this will be reverted)
- Doomsday's construction speed have been halved (giving you more time)
- Everyone's CPU has been restored
- ..and faucet balances have been topped up.

OK, first of all sorry for the spotty support, and hanging e-mails, I'm working though all of it right now. Everyone's CPU has been fixed and I'm looking for satoshis to refill the faucets.

In the meantime, RE: Doomsday - it could as well be an overkill, as usual the galaxy is our mutual testbed. Have you tried stopping it, though? I mean, it's now being built on a specific planet, and thus is somewhat under player control.. We're very open to further fine-tuning, but please make sure you have actually tried all the in-game options first.

How do you keep finding those items? :) Anyways, it's the item I mentioned in the last update post. You should be able to get it off final mothership in the pink sector.


I'm not 100% sure, and I don't have the numbers on hand right now, but I believe you can never get complete immunity, even with great reputation. However, the chance they attack you gets lower, and it should be possible to hang in space for several hours without a single attack. (I'll try to get more details about that).

Edit: I've been told you should feel VERY safe with 3000+ reputation.

Also, keep in  mind, that after you provoke an NPC, it will fight you no matter your reputation and/or criminal status.

Regarding 502 errors - Sorry guys :(

We'll run a promo event or something like that to cover your losses.

Small update:

• [ENC] Show some interesting info on the stats page.
• [ENC] Protect stations for 48 hours after NPC coups.*
• [ENC] Slowly remove devotion/influence points after station takeovers.*

Turns out, IPX have the most stations because they have collected tons of devotions points from the last time war and those wouldn't deplete until the next one. So each station takeover will now remove 1 point from a faction. This should brings back CONS and Pirate stations... in time. Plus, stations are now protected from further takeovers for 48 hours, so you shouldn't be seeing merchants going missing several times in a row.

I love the idea of alloys and it does sound like a logical thing to have; we just don't need MORE items right now (and certainly not new materials), as those are very hard to balance. If we ever do need those, we'll likely use the alloy idea.

Harbringers fighting Pirates, nothing special. Funny thing is, lots of NPC factions are rigged to fight each other, you just
don't see it too often, as NPCs rarely travel into enemy territory. (An obvious exception are CONS truckers).

* So it turns out you don't need 19mil accum, our math was waaay off. Check it out, it's MUCH more obtainable. Also, keep an eye on traveling accum merchants in station bars. Those are willing to buy accum off your hands in exchange for some

Well, we love it when players fight, as this generates events, narration, highlights, agency to everything else, etc. There is a large PvP component in the game and it's pretty sad when it goes unused.

However, we have decided early on, that we wouldn't be forcing players to fight, leaving the choice to you. So, if TGE and LD merge into one mega-alliance, effectively gaining control over 90% of the Galaxy, that's fine by us. If someone then decides it's unfair, and it's time to overthrow such alliance, they would still be able to (using NPC stations as base of operations). If, on the other hand, you decide it's time to wage an all-out Galactic War, go for it!

Either path requires large amounts of diplomacy and tactical skills, so whatever you do here, we will be excited.

(I'm not sure what's going on with Doomsday, if it's enabled/disabled, bugged, waits for some threshold. I'll check it out).

As for Alien Invasion: yes, we would love to do this. The reason we haven't yet, is the fact it would require lots of new code
and lots of testing, and the game is already bloated with features (and bugs). Hopefully, one day.

But! If you're looking for new challenges, I re-iterate: have you killed the final mothership in the pink sectors? That's currently
the most challenging/high-level content we have.


We have decided those will go unexplained for the time being. I'll leave you some choices, though:

GPD = Galaxy Protection Division (I love this!)
GPD = Galactic Police Department
CONS = CONStructiCONS (cause they are "auto"bots... I know it doesn't make a lot of sense)
CONS = CONSortuim of Trao (Trao are one the founding members/race of that alliance, but they live in another galaxy)

Please note, that those are not "canon", but that's what we have discussed internally.
