641  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: What does cryptocurrency money laundering means??? on: March 31, 2017, 11:03:13 AM
Buying Bitcoin and spending Bitcoin is obviously not money laundering, governments tend to be concerned because it's very easy to do money laundering with Bitcoin (which it is, you just buy some Bitcoin, put it in Bitmixer or a gambling site, cash it out and boom it's clean money).

If you're not actually doing anything illegal, the government doesn't care.  If you are, good luck as long as it's not hurting anyone, and you would usually get away with it.  Money laundering just means covering your tracks and trying to get money that wasn't involved in crimes so that the crimes can't be traced back to you.
642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trackable on: March 31, 2017, 11:00:24 AM
I guess, you can have it by coinbase they have good service of exchange.
And I guess it is not that trackable.
I hope this questions were not raise due to illegal transaction to be made on.

Withdraw your money and top up your bitcoin account, it is more safer.
It's definitely trackable, Coinbase have to keep these transactions accessible to the authorities, especially since the bank (obviously) knows about all transactions out of your account.

The only way to actually do it is to take your bank account money into physical cash, since they don't know exactly how you spend that cash, and you can then exchange that for Bitcoin on LocalBitcoins or another useful exchange.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin progress in 2017 on: March 31, 2017, 10:55:10 AM
This has definitely been a productive start of the year. Also most of last year was very good for Bitcoin with the price more than doubling.
Yes the price did double this year but so did the chance of hard fork by BTU. Bitcoin progressed really good in the begging of the year but in the pat month because of the hard fork rumours and many people not exactly what it is, a lot of people dumped bitcoin for ETH or other altcoins. Many traders also withdrew from bitcoin until the hard fork situation resolves. So there was both a upside and downside so far in this year.

I don't think that dump would destroy bitcoin. Before when it is approaching $1000 it suddenly drops into nearly $600. But it survives. Now it approaches $1400 then drops in $970. I think it is just normal that every time bitcoin is approaching to surpass its peak, the whales are dumping it to earn profit. For me, I am taking it as a great opportunity to stock my bitcoin at a low price and wait for its price to stabilize again. Then sell. I doubt bitcoin will be destroyed just by BTU.

Exactly, the rising and lowing of the price of the bitcoin is normal maybe the right word is the peak and crashing of bitcoin because it totally drop down but we can see how people survive the bitcoin.
The rising and falling of prices may be normal,  but the events causing the falls sure aren't.  Bitcoin will take more than time to recover, it'll take actual action.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHY IS IT THE GOOD TIME TO INVEST IN RIPPLE (XRP) NOW? on: March 31, 2017, 09:55:07 AM
Now that Ripple's just been pumped, it's not as good an idea to invest anymore.  That kind of instant growth isn't sustainable.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best way to research new alt-coins? on: March 31, 2017, 09:53:49 AM
What I would do if you want to find the newest altcoin is look on the announcement threads on this forum.  Most decent (or wanting to be decent) cryptocurrencies will start a thread here, and then you can see all the user feedback on the currencies in the comments and figure out based on the factors they describe whether it's worth investing.  That'd also help you to evaluate yourself in the future.
646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 31, 2017, 09:43:59 AM
DASH was doomed from the start, it was never a legitimately good choice, just well marketed and well pumped.  It's terrible to hear people who put lots of money into it, now that the price is going to drop dramatically.  Although coins like this never completely die, so we might still see it over $20 for a while and people might talk about it a little bit.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: YORK's price prediction topic. on: March 31, 2017, 09:41:22 AM

It seems like you cant handle the truth. Go look at zigzag charts then, go ahead. We are in a consolidation process right now, just before the next take off.
As I was well aware of before, zig zag charts are just one way of indicating potential future price and are not always meaningful, especially in situations like we're in right now where the state of current affairs is far more important than recent price fluctuations.
648  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Peers, more than teachers, inspire us to learn on: March 31, 2017, 09:37:49 AM
Because they trust people that they're not forced to learn from.  I think it's the fact that learning from peers is voluntary that makes them pay attention more.  Beyond that it's also the fact that they can relate to someone closer to them, and that they're not just pressuring themselves to do well in some exam - instead they're gaining information based on what they want to hear.
649  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: The forum.bitcoin.com 4btc giveaway has started! on: March 31, 2017, 09:34:21 AM
For practical purposes this is nothing because only one person among thousands can actually win the prize.  It's like a meaningless lottery of people who try too hard for something that someone else was inevitably going to win anyway.  Just a publicity stunt from bitcoin.com and it's nothing to Roger Ver, who won't transfer his BTC for BU tokens.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Since BU is emerging. on: March 31, 2017, 09:30:55 AM
BTC already is Bitcoin Core, that's the current development team and SegWit would just be a new update for Bitcoin if the miners signal support for it.

BU doesn't matter, it might go through and then collapse or whatever but it won't succeed.  If I were rich, I would buy loads of BU coin tokens at their low price and dump them right when the hard fork happens, and I can see some major Core supporters doing that (and if it didn't go through you could always sell it back to BTC).
651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Weird bitcoin address showing up! on: March 31, 2017, 09:26:45 AM
Nothing to do with Coinbase, they're legit and you presumably haven't downloaded anything from there.  This is pretty basic malware though, your computer should be safe as long as you don't send it to the address but run some virus scans and send from an uninfected machine in the future (since you're using Coinbase I assume your Bitcoins can be used from any device).
652  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Equate MLM-Distributed Coins To Be Scams? on: March 31, 2017, 09:24:14 AM
Personally, I see nothing wrong with MLM per se as it can be an effective model to distribute products and promote business.
You are wrong brother, it has never been effective model to distribute products. The one who will get all profit are the one who is sitting on top of the MLM pyramid.

I know that there are now many popular altcoin which are using network marketing and they are indeed reaching so many people on a global scale. Have you bought a coin via MLM way or you also shun coins distributed this way?
We can't say this, they are selling their premined coins to newbies who even don't know what is crypto with the help of few people who are willing to scam newbies for few $ in profit.

No i haven't invested in any MLM crypto and i don't think i will ever invest in them.
And these altcoins getting popular from MLM are just complicated Ponzi schemes trying to pass themselves off as legitimate.  They always collapse eventually.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: March 31, 2017, 09:19:04 AM
If anyone gets rich from gambling, they're stupid because naturally that means that they put in far more money than they can afford to lose with terrible odds of winning.

Unless they did it over the long term with games like poker or doing card counting, in which case they're pretty clever.
654  Economy / Speculation / Re: YORK's price prediction topic. on: March 31, 2017, 09:12:52 AM
BTC

WELCOME TO THE TRUTH OF TODAY:

Status: just hodl

No matter how many graphs you make with arbitrary and basic analysis of Bitcoin over a very short period, it's not going to change what actually happens.  It won't keep going in the same direction, so maybe you should be analysing news and potential news instead of looking poorly at price charts and assuming that Bitcoin is going to just reach a point at which it goes up forever.
655  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-30] Bitcoin Price Rebounds on: March 31, 2017, 09:01:01 AM
I think it's because BU's percentage of hash rate has leveled out a bit.

In the long term, Bitcoin will have a bullish trend, but within a week or so it'll start going down again due to the uncertainty about what solutions may occur and how they'll affect the network.
656  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-30]Over 100 ‘Blockchain Personalities’ Take 21 Inc’s Fork Survey on: March 31, 2017, 08:59:11 AM
It's annoying that this is news.  The arguments of barely a hundred people should not influence a community that should be as decentralised as possible, and people shouldn't be considered "Bitcoin personalities" who act as a public face for Bitcoin unless they are Core devs who actually work on Bitcoin.
657  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-29]Roger Ver was suggested to exchange BTC and BTU at one-to one ratio on: March 31, 2017, 08:54:40 AM
To be fair, you can't expect him to exchange all his BTC for BTU before the hard fork even happens.  He'd be relying on an exchange to hold thousands of BU coins that might never even exist.
658  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PBOC Tougher on Margin Trading? on: March 31, 2017, 08:33:13 AM
Dealing with fiat can be really troubling for traders due to identity verification, government interference and potential problems with the exchanges. People should really get more into USDT, while less established it works really great on Poloniex since you can exchange them more freely without having to think too much about the conversion.  Hopefully tethers for other currencies will be developed as well.
659  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we didnt had idiots blocking segwit we would be sittting on 4 figures by now on: March 31, 2017, 08:29:29 AM
Bitcoin Classic failed, Bitcoin Unlimited will inevitably fail due to how determined a large amount of Core supporters are and how many people don't want to signal for either, and since most people are running Core nodes anyway because BU is so buggy now is a great time for some BU miners to give up.
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin deep to $1070 best time to buy. on: March 31, 2017, 08:26:52 AM
Now that it's gone up a fair bit it's not so reasonable to buy.  It was a lot lower when the BU hashrate was clearly rising and a hard fork was more likely on its way, but after that $980 price I don't expect it to go up for quite a while (until scaling disputes are resolved, if they are).
