I'm trying to connect to a primecoind running as daemon using a second computer (supposed for mining only). My config looks as follows: server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
# You must set rpcuser and rpcpassword to secure the JSON-RPC api
rpcuser=primecoinrpc
rpcpassword=XXXX
# Listen for RPC connections on this TCP port:

Trying t connect from 192.168.180.31 (mining pc running ubuntu + primecoind as client only) results in HTTP 403 Error (using rpcconnect=192.168.180.30 and same rpcuser/rpcpassword) error: server returned HTTP error 403
Any suggestions? Are you connecting using the same port number? |

read the forum i'm picking up on, people who lack ability attempting to modify code they don't really understand, and by the adaption of the coin could totally ruin the coin, it's called Primecoin, for a reason. due to the way it's coded and it's more complex than to let someone come along and try modify it with a limited ability and skill. you'd have to be proper good, and i'm not getting that vibe from what i read here. you'd cause more damage by screwing it.
Its not that easy to manipulate primecoin as most other old coins since it is much better distributed. For other coins "scammers" could easily buy 50% of the coins, do a "relaunch" and dump on the new "investors". I hope this don't happen with primecoin. if the is no cap on this coin it might need a cap at some point, but only when we see a massive price rise would or should anyone consider a move like this, and i don't think it's any time soon. code in a cap at some point i believe, but no time soon, the only good idea is increase adoption, and use cases, before anyone considers a cap. it's a good coin due to it's maths formula, but i still think it might have to have a cap in the future, because at some point the will be to many. and you will no longer have to keep minting coins, the is a limit to everything. i get the impression people don't like caps, but at some point you certainly have to cap the supply. The codebase is very old, the current intention is just to have it updated to the latest Bitcoin codebases, the code isn't being updated for fun - there are vulnerabilities being fixed, there is protocol parameters being modified for the better, to keep Primecoin's code at 0.8 will not be good for the long-term interests of the currency |

I think you need to provide the least detail for the purpose of your project in this thread
I have, that is to try and add as many altcoin features in an altcoin And have you succeeded,I have not discover a coin yet with all the features added as in all in one coin,that sounds to good to be true and since this is not an ico one,I'm sure people will not have a hard time adopting your coin,can you post the full details within a week. It plans to be one, obviously incorporating every feature of every altcoin is not possible - so it would most probably be planned to fork certain portions to start a basic network succeeding with following viable forks |

You mean Satoshi ?  You never know if he started as the only developer. you should also consider hiring people in the marketing,
No necessary.The investors don't give a rats ass about the marketing team or managers.Their only ray of hope is the team of developers. I'm glad to take my advice to change the color and nice to know that it is not an ico thing again,I hope you can fast tract everything,people are excited here.
Well..one developer..with limited knowledge in the domian,don't know what to make out of it... Your point has been noted and other devs have been contacted, no human is perfect and neither am I and checks and balances are required. I like the plan man, as kinda flimsy as it is, its atleast HONEST ;p "im gonna take some cool shit from this, and some cool shit from that"  might take a bit, might be broken, hey see what happens type thing. Cool man, no big promises, just the idea to try something new! i like it!  As far as mining goes, no algo is quite perfect, anything non-asic would prob be most fair? idk, up to you, ill be waiting the future of this, good luck! Empinex will be maintained by only one developer ?
^That is a turn off right there!If you don't intend to open the domain for the "public",what do you expect for the investors to trust in ? Your abilities to take whatever decisions you take in your mood swings ?
To clarify, it would be maintained by me... as in officially - the code is open-source and the public can modify and contribute as they please, but yes - you do have a point, we are seeking developers who would will be work on voluntary basis. You notice, the below remark - it was to show sarcasm (but point still noted) |

I have a better graphics for this project:  U can put in the OP or make a snapshot of ur screen, print that and attach to ur ass. Ur project is destined to die before friday. Fair enough, after all - this was meant to be experimental and is still a concept (not a full fledged project yet).... and why the judgemental nature, also - that screenshot idea was used but otherwise, thanks - and I understand your "frankness", I might have been a bit misleading, coding every part of those cryptos is beyond my capabilities, but we're using parts of... This is interesting but I doubt you'll be able to get all the tech from all those coins into yours. Zcash/XMR and DASH are all anon coins that do things differently. XMR doesn't need masternodes for mixing and Zcash uses something else so I'm guessing you'll only be able to use the technology from one of those coins. For a consensus system choose dpos with unlimited witnesses. 1 coin per block. 3 second blocks. .. Why not use bitshares as the base and add anonimity to it. Just make sure you release windows binaries for the node and cli wallet so that anyone can be a block producer. Bitshares base with built in DEX, ETH's smart contract module, Zcash anonymity and a good marketplace. Shit, thats gonna take forever to code. Good luck. Wouldn't be coding everything - just taking portions from those currencies, I'm more interested in ZCash's Implementation of EquiHash.... DPoS seems nice, but will do it slow - PoS on BitCoin 0.14 is hard already, so baby steps If it is ok and you have the option to do so,can you please replace the color it reminds me of e-bitz with your color,although the concept is interesting,we'll see how everything is going to turn this is an unusual concept to me,

This won't be an ICO - and E-Bitz, okay, still preliminary - thank you for your opinion - will change the color scheme to be more professional later. Guess this may come worth of trying.

Hit the mtp algo into btc 13.2 core, Before mtp is out it could use some near semi gpu/cpu algo.
Dont ever use lyra!
No ico, IPO , founder shit etc..
Dev buys and mines coins for himself.
Push zerocoin code into it, one that works as parallel
Make easy gui for zero usage.
No insane blocktimes, use 2-4 mins.
Forget pos and masternodes.
Thats it, coin of 2017.
Well, the first constructive parameters given, thanks - that does give a new perspective... Semi CPU/GPU was an idea already in my mind, so I guess it will make sense |
