The promotional discount on mobile Target gift cards has ended.  Thanks to those who participated and congratulations for getting one heck of a deal.
2  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 10% promo discount on mobile Target gift cards. Ends 2013-05-12. on: May 11, 2013, 10:53:25 PM
Only two days remaining.  Remember, these are being sold 10% below face value.  A $500 mobile gift card, for example, sells for $450.  No markup.  No commissions.

Only 4 days remaining.

Remember, Bitmit commissions are also covered by me.

Corrected.  Thanks.

I believe Walmart e-gift cards were once allowed for in-store purchases with a printed hardcopy but not any more.
8  Economy / Digital goods / [ENDED] 10% promo discount on mobile Target gift cards. Ends 2013-05-12. on: April 24, 2013, 04:00:03 PM
Hello,

For anyone who wants to discover the great benefits of mobile Target gift cards, I am having a two-week sale on them with a 10% discount off the face value of the cards.  That means zero commission costs and zero mark-up.  They are sold on Bitmit and can be found here:

http://www.bitmit.net/en/user/heavysteel

Mobile Target cards offer the best of both worlds -- they can be used on-line or in-store.  This is not possible with Walmart e-gift cards.  The codes are sent electronically via email for better anonymity than physical mail and are used with a smartphone.  For details on how this works, I encourage you to read the following post.

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=160471.0

This promotional discount and awareness program will end on 2013-05-12 at end-of-day (Mother's Day in the US).

Best regards.
9  Economy / Goods / Re: Come in and Trade Ammo or Talk about Guns! on: April 24, 2013, 03:36:59 PM
If anyone likes to purchase ammo at Walmart, PM me about buying physical Walmart gift cards.  I have them in $100, $200, and $500 amounts.  I sell them with only a 0.95% markup from face value to split the commission costs on Bitmit (1.9%).  I.e. $100.95, $201.90, and $504.75.

Walmart ammo is great for range shooting and one can typically find pretty cheap 9mm there.
10  Economy / Goods / [ANN] All Amazon sold out! Turning to Target mobile gift cards. on: April 11, 2013, 04:27:20 PM
Hello,

Congratulations to those who bought my remaining Amazon claim codes during the past week or so.  You hit the TEMPORARY bitcoin high although what a high it was!  Two months of inventory bought out in less than two weeks.

All that I am selling at the moment are Target mobile gift cards -- physical cards that can be transferred electronically and anonymously.  They can be used on-line or in-store via your smartphone.  Read more about them and how they are secured with this link:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=160471.0

They can be purchased at face value (for the time being and subject to change) on Bitmit.net at the link below.

Best regards.

Hopefully it's not serious.  If so, I hope Tosaki can keep us informed of what's going on.  Bitmit was running pretty slow during the past few hours.  I thought it was just my internet connection.
12  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: April 09, 2013, 02:04:37 AM
Can't connect to Bitmit.  Is it down for anyone else?
13  Economy / Goods / Re: Mobile Target Gift Cards -- even more flexible and anonymous on: March 30, 2013, 03:54:31 AM
Someone asked me if I shred the Target cards.  To clarify, the cards are shredded after the buyer confirms the amount when applied to their Target mobile account and then releases the bitcoins from escrow.  But as long as the card is combined with the buyer's private card (Card #1), the physical card's (Card #2) number and access code are automatically invalidated and cannot be used.

Both physical and mobile cards are available in $100, $200, and $500 amounts.  The physical card option is delivered via certified mail with the scratch-off protection still intact.
14  Economy / Goods / Mobile Target Gift Cards -- even more flexible and anonymous on: March 29, 2013, 12:00:11 AM
Hello,

I will be adding the option to purchase Target gift cards electronically (i.e. mobile cards) on Bitmit.  This method is the most anonymous way of purchasing a gift card that can be used at physical Target store locations AND at their on-line store via a smartphone and QR code.  This is not possible with a Target eGift card.  eGift cards can only be used on-line.  You can see the list of the items I sell on Bitmit with the following link:

www.bitmit.net/en/user/heavysteel

SUMMARY OF HOW THIS WORKS:

Buy a physical Target gift card for a small amount ($5 for example) at a Target store.  This card (call it Card #1) acts like your private gift card that no one else knows. With your smartphone, apply Card #1 to your Target mobile account that you setup.  After you purchase a Target mobile gift card on Bitmit from me (call it Card #2), I will send the card number and access code via email.  You validate the amount by applying Card #2 to your Target mobile account.  To lock in the Card #2 so no one else can use it, it must be combined with Card #1 which is your private gift card.  In effect, this moves the funds from Card #2 to Card #1 while invalidating Card #2.

To spend the funds on Card #1 at a physical Target store, present the QR code on your smartphone at the cashier.  For their on-line stores, use Card #1’s card number and access code directly.

DETAILED STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIRST-TIME USERS:

(1)   If you do not have an existing Target gift card, purchase one with cash at the store – e.g. for $5.  This is your private card with a card number and access code that only you know.  Call this Card #1.
(2)   Go to “Target.com/gc” through a web browser on your smartphone.  You must use your smartphone, NOT your computer.  You will receive a prompt asking to download the Target app.  Download and install the app which will make things easier.
(3)   Create a Target mobile account by providing your mobile number, email address, and a PIN code.
(4)   Add a new gift card with Card #1’s number and access code to your Target mobile account.
(5)   Purchase the mobile Target card of your choice on Bitmit from me.  Call this Card #2.  I will send the card number and access code (which comes from a physical card) to the email address that you provide.
(6)   Go to your Target mobile account and add Card #2.  This is when you can confirm the amount on the card.
(7)   Use the “Combine” option to combine Card #2 with Card #1.  This effectively moves the funds from Card #2 to Card #1 and invalidates Card #2, preventing me and anyone else from using the physical card to make purchases.
(Cool   To purchase goods and services at any physical Target store, select Card #1 in your mobile account and present the QR code for scanning.  The Target smartphone app makes this easier.
(9)   If you want to purchase items at Target’s on-line store, use the card number and access code directly.

Note, there is probably a $2,000 limit on combining cards as there is when purchasing Target gift cards.  I am not sure if there is a limit to the number of cards that can be combined.  But if you have any questions or problems, please PM so we can work them out.

Best regards.

Hello,

I cannot locate the link that allows one to export to a CSV file.  Is it live?  Looking forward to the import feature...

Best regards.
16  Economy / Goods / Re: Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes GIFT CARDS. Split commissions on Bitmit. on: March 15, 2013, 03:35:27 AM
So you're just selling gift cards at face value out of the kindness of your heart when you could just as easily simply transfer funds to MtGox and buy BTC.

Anonymity is a nice thing to have in a world of increasing government intrusion.  Not everyone is trustworthy of giving their name, address, passport numbers, picture ID's, etc. to Mt. Gox and least of all to companies like Dwolla.  I help provide liquidity to spend bitcoins anonymously in the fiat world we currently live in.
17  Economy / Goods / Re: Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes GIFT CARDS. Split commissions on Bitmit. on: March 12, 2013, 05:45:58 PM
Gift cards bought with stolen CC info. Yeah right.

All legit bro.  Checkout my feedback on Bitmit.  False accusations like yours should be backed up with some inkling of proof, even circumstantial.
18  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ANN] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: March 10, 2013, 02:48:13 AM
Price should be around € 100, but it still depends on many factors, what I read on a blog.
Ouch, that seems a little expensive. I mean, can't you buy old smartphones with that amount? Or perhaps second-hand netbooks that you could format and turn into an offline wallet.
100 € is definitely NOT expensive!

If it makes the use of bitcoins closer to becoming idiot-proof, 100 EUR is worth it.  I'd buy one.  With it's success, the price will certainly come down when serious demand for the product picks up.
19  Economy / Goods / Walmart, Target, Home Depot, Lowes GIFT CARDS. Split commissions on Bitmit. on: March 02, 2013, 05:58:35 AM

Yes! It's back.

Thanks Tosaki. I really appreciate all the work you've put into this.
Thanks for keeping the prices low.

Hope you decide not sell it and continue to improve upon it with new vigor.
I've enjoyed watching the slowly-but-surely growth on your site over the months.

You do realize the original tosaki sold bitmit, and his forum account, months ago? The guy who currently runs bitmit and now acts under the tosaki name on this forum isn't the same guy who started bitmit.

That said, I still think bitmit is a very good bitmit service. Since you can buy a great deal of stuff there, it's really a loop-closer in the Bitcoin economy. I hope whoever ends up running it does it well.

By loop-closer I mean it closes the loop from BTC user to BTC user, so that there's no real need to go back from BTC to fiat currency.

huh?!?

When did that happen? Did the buyer get his Bitcointalk user account as well?

Read this thread. It all burns down to tosaki not speaking German anymore. He was quite active on the German forum before and then wasn't able to reply to German PMs anymore. He kind of acknowledged that the ownership of bitmit.net changed but isn't talkative at all. To the degree of information we get, I assume there is a language barrier or something. Obviously he's struggling to keep bitmit online but not so much to keep people here satisfied.

Well, I skimmed through the thread and had no luck of finding evidence of the site changing hands. There was an incidence Here where he thought he would have to shut it down or sell, but then says he worked everything out and all was OK:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=41592.msg1286148#msg1286148

Did he admit it had changed hands in the German forums? I don't speak German so it would be nice if someone could investigates the specifics and put it here. I had communicated with the "original" Tosaki several times through email and he had referenced a "team" a few times. Could it be that he simply is no longer part of that team?

There's a guy named Joachim who works in support and has always answered and resolved my issues quite promptly and politely on Bitmit.  My bitcoins have been in a pending state after I tried downloading them from my Bitmit wallet 3 days ago.  He took care of it and I'm waiting for confirmation at the moment.  If Bitmit has changed hands, Joachim is still on the "team" because he has been there since I became a seller 5  months ago or so.
