602  Economy / Speculation / Re: What keeps Bitcoin price stable? on: March 08, 2017, 10:00:23 PM
Price rising =  rumours + good news
Price going down =  bad news + panic selling + whales cashing out

But what factors keep Bitcoin price stable?
I have not seen stable bitcoin price since I am using bitcoin.there is always fluctuation in bitcoin price sometimes it is more and at other times less fluctuation

604  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a Signature Campaign manager for the coming KarmaToken (KTN) ICO on: March 08, 2017, 08:37:07 PM
If you want someone who is online most of the time and hard working, then I would be happy to manage the campaign for you.Though I do not have any previous experience but I guess we all are first timer for everything and then gain experience
605  Economy / Speculation / Re: Jihan Wu crashes the Bitcoin price on: March 07, 2017, 12:28:26 PM
Mining mogul Jihan Wu single-handedly crashes the Bitcoin price by supporting BUcoin.

Dumb low IQ Roger Vermin and the rest of delusional BUcoiners celebrate that Antpool mined some BUcoin blocks. Just hours later, the price crashes into oblivion.

The Powers That Be failed to hack bitcoin, but they might as well kill it by good ol "divide and conquer".

Good job, Jihan, now you'll soon be emperor of a worthless token.

I`m pretty sure that most of the miners don`t care about bitcoin, they care only about their profits.
If they can make more profits with some shitty altcoin,i`m sure that they would leave bitcoin immediately.
The "divide and conquer" strategy won`t work against bitcoin.

Why blame miners alone?even we the bitcoin users are more concerned about its price.
What reason do you have to justify mass storing or holding of bitcoin?
We need services and goods that can be bought with bitcoin, jobs that are paid with bitcoin but volatile price of bitcoin prevent its growth.
606  Economy / Services / Re: PayBis signature campaign on: March 07, 2017, 12:07:15 PM
I suggest op you escrow the funds first. This will also save you lot of work load and will help you get more participants as well.
Also please update how many participants are required for this campaign.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will storing bitcoin kill it? on: March 06, 2017, 07:50:52 PM
Just a few questions, What would happen if people just stored gold and stopped trading it? Would it still hold value or would the value of it drop all of a sudden? I dont think the value would change much especially if its the last BTC ever to be mined or kept. As long as people still want BTC, it will have some value.
You didn't get what I meant.True that both bitcoin and gold have values but bitcoin needs miners to move while gold has no such requirements. If you hold gold for long and after say 10 years decide to sell it,you can simply give that gold to buyer without needing anyone to confirm it but for btc you need miners to confirm your transaction otherwise it will not move to buyers wallet.IF all miners are out of business, bitcoin will become useless.
608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will storing bitcoin kill it? on: March 06, 2017, 11:21:01 AM
If everyone start storing bitcoin and there is no single transaction for days, all miners will quite mining as without transaction there would be no reward.
Will it not kill bitcoin and make it useless?
609  Economy / Speculation / Re: What was the main reason for Bitcoin to rise at 100$ year 2013? on: March 06, 2017, 10:00:24 AM
Without speculation, do anyone knows?
Do you know the reason why it hit $1000 this year?I think the reason is more or less same.
Bitcoin is a volatile and just one good positive thing trigger its price up and one negative and price crashed like nothing.
This piece of article from businessinsider sums up the bitcoin rise in 2013 very well.
" Interest and buzz is absolutely
exploding, as people see a
combination of a surging
market, an alternative to
traditional currency, and a fun
speculation."
610  Other / Meta / Re: Is rule "32. Posting multiple posts in a row" enforced? on: March 06, 2017, 09:49:30 AM
It is not. Yesterday I came across a secondstrade spammer that did the exact same thing, but I forgot to report that user as I was busy with reading other posts.

In general, (troll or not) if the user is a higher ranked member with no paid signature, mods are less likely to do something. It's something I definitely like to see change.

Every user should be equally treated when it comes to the rules. If you troll or spam (paid signature or not), then actions must follow. Simple.
Signature campaign mangers do not count duplicate posts and even warn and disqualify participants who do so.
I do not think any sensible person would do it for signature.
611  Economy / Services / Re: Let's Think About the Future | Signature Campaign | (All Ranks Welcome) on: March 06, 2017, 09:33:57 AM
Hi! Are you now accepting members? I'm really looking forward in joining this signature campaign.
Check few posts on this page and you will know that campaign has been paused and is likely to be closed.
Participants are asked to remove their signatures.
612  Economy / Services / Re: Want to make $3 or $20 in bitcoin? I need 1 of 2 favors on: March 05, 2017, 10:27:17 PM

613  Other / Meta / Re: What's your "Report to Moderator" % rate at? on: March 05, 2017, 08:13:10 PM
but they're far less frequent than some of the top reporters (having a few thousand reports and reporting accuracy of over 95% is excellent).

"You have reported 5097 posts with 99% accuracy"

I'd imagine there are people with even higher numbers (shorena for example, would be curious about where he currently stands), but I think 5k is a good start Smiley

I never report any posts. Im not a rat.
Come at me, please.
Can we get the glimpse of reported posts to get idea what kind of posts should be reported?I usually report a post when I see some external website link either not related to topic or completely not related to crypto usually make to spam.
Which forum's topic usually get mostly reported or which forum is mostly targetted by spammers and abusers?
614  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: XCOINS.IO Automates the Process of Making Money with Bitcoin [OFFICIAL] on: March 05, 2017, 11:04:30 AM
This is Ponzi you know. It is dangerous for me to have a definite profit.
This is not my style. If the winners are happy.

This business is not a ponzi by all standard but the only thing i dont like about them is the paypal as the only withdrwer method.
This business could go higher if they add another withdrawer method like payza, perfectmoney, okpay etc
Their model of working is more like a ponzi. They may not have scammed anyone yet but there are lots of ponzi websites which are online for years and disappear when they stop getting new victims.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: March 05, 2017, 10:59:13 AM
It was my mum's birthday yesterday. And I wanted to buy a birthday cake for her, but when I reached the bread shop, I realized I forgot carrying my wallet and I had only a few bucks in my pocket.  I tried to talk to the boss of the shop if I can pay by bitcoin, to my surprise, she said YES and finally I paid the cake by bitcoin.  Grin

This is my first time to use BTC as real money buying a real physical goods.

As a bitcoiner, using BTC online is very common.  Have you ever used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods?  plz share your experience.   Wink

No not yet.I haven't bought any physical good so far with bitcoin but I have used it several times to buy domains and Altcoin.
The only reason for me not buying physical good with bitcoin is that there is no local online or other shop available that accept bitcoin.
616  Other / Meta / Re: Cant make an account on: March 05, 2017, 10:15:58 AM
Buying a new mobile sim card from a different telecom operator and using it to connect to internet is much cheaper alternative to change ip imo
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: March 05, 2017, 10:12:17 AM
If 1 satoshi is equal to 1 dollar, I wonder how will we pay the fee's in cents? It's good to claim faucets, and all other waist of time jobs cause with this prediction everyone here will be a millionaire. 10 mBTC to be 1 million dollars, in this scenario I'm multi millionaire, this will not happen in my lifetime, even bitcoin price is increasing each year, this is very hard for my brain to realize, can we be so lucky?

Obviously long before a satoshi is a dollar the code would be changed so it could be broken down to 10,12,16 decimal places. It's kind of a no brainer.

What you need to realize is that if there are 21M bitcoins and each of them costs $100M (1 satoshi = $1) then the market cap would be 2.1E15 or 2.1 quadrillion dollars. It's not going to happen. That's higher than the entire world's money supply. It's just never ever ever going to happen (unless the dollar is virtually worthless).

Thanks for nice explanation about how bitcoin code can be changed. I don't think this will be so easy, but not impossible.
World money supply is growing, and maybe it's silly to think that bitcoin can worth so much, but just maybe bitcoin can make bigger success then everyone hoping. Uniting all world under one currency, universal one can be achieved one day in the future. Don't get me wrong but in ideal circumstances anything can happen, in far far future who knows what will happen.
Although there is no definite statistics about lost bitcoin but a rough estimate put it to somewhere around 1-3 million btc.
Some more may get lost in future, so the actual number of existing bitcoin is much less than 21 millions.
$1 a Satoshi is not impossible.
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here comes the Satoshi drama on: March 05, 2017, 10:02:42 AM
I think we have had a lot of this Satoshi drama and now no one is really interested or concerned about who the real Satoshi is.
Does it really matter who Satoshi is and where he is?If we stop giving any importance to it,these false claims will die natural death.
619  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How an exchange can be trusted if it has security flaws by design? [Liqui.io] on: March 04, 2017, 10:46:06 PM
I see security as #1 reason for marking exchanges as trusted in the world of cryptos.

The thing is that you don't really own your coins if you don't have your private key, such scenario happens in all of the exchanges - and the only way to sleep well at night - is the reputation and the security design of the exchanges.

I used liqui for several times until I realized that if they have bad security by design - it may reflect on other things in their company - and I'm not willing to take that chance.

Some things that I found:

- 2FA, can be enables \ disabled from the settings without the need for any email confirmations.
- If 2FA is enabled, it can be disabled without asking for current 2FA token
- Change password is sent to email as reset password ?? (wtf) without the need to reconfirm current password

I didn't want to look deeper than that, but I believe that they have more bad / wrong scenarios in their code.

Why do people continue using them? Why don't they fix that?
These indeed are serious issues and should be fixed on priority basis.Have you informed Liqui staff of this? There is their official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1557900.0 you can bring these issu to their notice by posting it in that thread.

You have reported 199 posts with 100% accuracy
Wow this is very good indeed.I have reported 10 posts so far and my accuracy is 90%.I guess it is because i reported a duplicate of same spammy report or whatever reason
