Besides openbazar lauch,bitcoin halving there is no others marking periods about something related to bitcoin.Bitcoin is being adopted by gambles this year and some casinos owners are able to see the difference at their incoming,gambling has growed a lot,and bitcoin value can and has pression to grow till 600 dollars atleast.

2016 is the year of consolidation and value finding year for bitcoin. The price of bitcoin will rise gently from now on.
Truly 2016 seems to be a value adding year for bitcoin. But if there is no big rise or rise on halving 2016 could be a boring year as indicated by the thread. If boring for a lot people means the price being quite stable, then I don't mind it at all. But I am fairly sure the month before and months after the block halving will be full of volatility. I mine, hold and use the coins. If the price is stable, I know how much my coin is worth in the next few days. |

There are several reasons, the bitcoin block size will be increased later this year, the block reward will also be halved.
Yeah that is right and we have opportunity to see all time high price in this year becuase of the upcoming events that we have in this year which will lead to higher price by the end of the year. With all time high price expectation, most has speculated 2016 to be the year of bitcoin. But I don't think that the price would go high than the price of last time halving. The peak of 2013, when it is the year after the halving, the price was about $1200. This year, the price will be higher than that. This year, more people will know about bitcoin. The transaction size will also increase a lot this year. |

It depends on the halving and the block size increase. Halving can drive the price to $700. The block size increase could drive it to $1300.

how it can be boring year, if we will have halving this year, price will be very unstable so it will be intresting to buy/sell, i hope price will instantly rise to 700$ or even more so i can sell them
It depends on your trading strategy. For me, I do not trade and will buy and hold the bitcoin for the long term. |

why boring? halving is not boring thing, imagine whatwill happen 1 week after halving, not stable prices and so
I think the price will rise much higher before the halving time. The price will double at least. |

Considering the substantial potential this is a very low price for BTC, especially if we take into account that the "production" price of BTC block is quite high. A good price right now should be around 750$
Well i think the price will rise again above 500 if the halving ends. yeah the difficulty for now is not profitable. But i think is just a nature of bitcoin that the price will dump and rise. According to the trader outside that the price should be rise around $15 later Why they know the price fluctuate?. But i think its bettter to wait later if this is true.. level $500 is easy for bitcoin reach that level maybe we will touch above $500 before halving and i predict after halving $500++ is new bottom of bitcoin price I agree with this totally. The hype has started dying down, USD exchanges are dominated by Chinese onesinvestments are getting back to 2013 levels and the supposedly interesting bitcoin-related projects of 2015 didn't have a positive impact to adoption or the market.

2016 has started not well with lots of pumps and dumps, which means that bitcoin price in 2016 will not be stable, let's hope for a huge pump at halving period. I already saw 2 dumps and 1 pumps. But the price is still in the $400 range. It is quite stable for the last two months. |

last halving was 2012. nothing happened, check the charts. the interesting year was 2013.
2016 will be kind of boring until nov. or dec.

400īs will be an excellent launch pad.
there was an increase in the last halving, check again, somethign did happened, and nyway, it's not comparable for two big reason 50-->25 is not like 25-->12, less impact on the mined supply, also bitcoin was still very new at that time, so there was less hype The hype from this halving is larger than last one. Even though the impact of the halving on the total supply is much smaller. |
