Yes, Etherdelta was recently hacked but I guess no project is safe from hackers. There are vulnerabilities in every online platform and hackers take advantage of that only. But now I think Etherdelta must have fixed its issues and safer to use. And so a good investment if it starts a token sale.

I was told that what you invest is a cost to your 'business'. So if you invest, say 1,000 (buying btc with it), you 'lost' that money until you make that back.
I don't believe you owe any taxes on actually btc. Government considers it virtual property, and it's only worth something once you sell it to fiat (you're not yet taxed by just having it like you are with personal property such as your house and car).
I'm no tax expert, but if I'm sure even when you reinvest all your profits back, it still counts as a cost (loss) if you did not come out ahead at all (and electronically, it wouldn't look like you did).
It was suggested to me to buy bitcoin with all profits and original principal income at the end of the year. This will show no cash profit, then sell after the year turn. I'm not sure if this could be legit though.
But yeah, I think you just pay taxes on the fiat you 'earned'. I read the link that coinbase gave. That's what I made out of the law.
I think that in bitcoin wallet sites like coinsbase was already imposing bigger taxes due to the tax of the website, as its originated in the US. The government virtual property as legit and the protections of its privacy is a great advantages for every people who've been doing legit transactions of the website wallet. Yes it is, but it's probably hard to find a good one, that price wont go down after ICO ending. Nowadays so much scam ICO that actually want to coletc money and that's all, need to do a lot of researches vefore you find good one ICO.
Yes it is worth it to invest alt. Evwn though the price is not always rise but it is always stable.but you need to find good ico, and choose very well to avoid scammer. That's great idea about being worth investments in alt and choosing a good alt to invest isn't that easy due to more of those upcoming ico's doesn't show up on their token sales. More of them were on failure due to few investors joining on the project, but the certain thing about a legit ico is that if the project failed they're liable to refund the invested amount of btc or ethereum. I don't think its profitable to own those tokens they had because it happened that their site was been hacked, and yet there's no exact explanations why it happened. More of the trust has been lost for the site devs, and lots of traders has lost their ether funds while on goin hack was present those days of attack. However they might be liable and responsible for the refund of those token wasted, but still they have no proper announcements and now their advertising a token sale which I think unfair for those affected with the hacking attacks; possible reputations of etherdelta declined a lot. |

Knowledge is something that is extremely useful in the crypto industry and no one can get that knowledge without studying. The golden opportunity is over but I would be surprised if there are not more good opportunities. Bitcoin right now is around 16k and it won't be a smooth ride on the way back up to the previous ATH just below 20k. If bitcoin drops to 14k or so again it's a good buying opportunity.
The opportunity to make a lot of money with bitcoin is over as the price has risen a lot,now we have to check and look for opportunity in the alt coin market to make a fortune ,but if you have the capacity to hold bitcoin get in and hold for a long time,who knows what the price would be five to ten years from now. No one really knows because bitcoin's character was extraordinarily has an impact to human race nowadays, and with regards to the corrections it has right now it will not stop unless people end their investments of bitcoin. Even though from the past months doge dump's it price, but in crypto currency it has an ability to increase day by day and same as bitcoin it will also fluctuates. The demand rises and in effect to that is doge price went higher, because that's an accumulated value as many who will invest and made the price higher compared from previous trading scenario at dump stage.
