1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IXCoin [IXC] The Original Bitcoin Sidechain on: March 28, 2024, 10:40:12 AM

Thanks,I will relay this to Fairglu who runs the blockexplorer.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/
Also, the block explorer shows 21,405,082 IXC outstanding, which is wrong. We can get an approximate of that number by doing: 21,000,000(IXC max supply) + 580,800(premine) + 50,446(donations) - 225,244(miningfund).
As you can see, it is counting the premine and donations twice, because the max supply is already counting them. To fix this, just do: ixc max supply - miningfund.

Total donations = ~50,446
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/address.dws?nulldata.htm
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/address.dws?op_return.htm

Premine = ~580,800

Mining fund left = ~225,244

I'm bad at math. If I did something wrong, let me know.

It now says Outstanding 21,356,772 IXC and here https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/address.dws?op_return.htm now says 73,476.671 IXC Burned

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/ixc/address.dws?nulldata.htm just says INVALID ADDRESS

Your point being?HuhHuh

Okay I hope the moderator doesnt merge this post again because it is a separate issue:

Can someone senior ranking here let me know what we can remove from the blockexplorer in order to replace it with "miningfund" ?

Fairglue has kindly offered to insert it once we decide what to remove.

If nobody else chimes in just remove whatever you want cornholder. I would go with top wallets or news because most of the top wallets are exchanges that got hacked and there is fuck all news these days.

Moon soon.  I’m hiding Wonder Woman. She knows.

Ten years shilling ixcoin without fail means you are persistent I'll give you that but no coin is going anywhere without a large community, large funding, large well established exchange with liquidity, active development on github and large social media presence.

You are living in false hope because nobody in this so called industry cares about anything except the bottom line.

Moon soon?? Your diciples are still living on skid row here buddy. Only the green dollar bills matter. The bottom line ...or go and shoe shine. All the techno babble means nothing to anyone and NOBODY cares if your coin has lasers and satellites coming out of its ass. The world only wants the green and bitcoin reigns supreme. If you fools had only held bitcoin instead of buying these shitcoins yall would be sitting pretty right now instead of hanging out on broke ass mountain here. IXCOIN is a dead ass coin with no developers or whales. Only peasants and paupers hodl IXCOIN Cool

The only other names as devs on that site I wanna see are Cinnamon Carter and DeadSea33.  The rest got their pay in spades mostly from me and Archimedes lied and left us to die.

And Ixcoin won’t die like develcuy lies.  The chain would have to die and that won’t happen.  And a website is nothing without a big backer and that’s what I brought in and will bring in again.  That’s what I do and that’s why I’m lead dev, all your code is nothing without billionaires.  ZERO!  NEIN!!!

~CfA~

Yes bro without the big ballers yall gonna starve to death. Where is your hero Mr Musk yall worship like he's the chosen one? Nah buddy..musk is too busy on shitter aka x banning people again and making sure we all sign up name and number so the man can delete our asses off the interwebs the moment we open our mouths to troll guberment.

Some of your points make sense but you seem to be mainly just trolling. Some of us are here from the beginning and actually want ixcoin to succeed because if you have a wallet and have used ixcoin for the past dozen or so years you might notice that unlike the majority of "shitcoins" our wallet and network works flawlessly and does what it says on the memo after reaching the 21 million coins while the majority of other "shitcoins" have vanished into the ether. I wonder if bitcoin will manage to stay intact and continue to work the original way it started out once the last coin has been mined?

Oh that's cute. Very talented indeed but unlike me you still can't pay your bills because nobody accepts ixcoin hahahaha. Hey come over and shine my shoes sometime and I might throw a few sats at you if you do a good job loser. And just in case that was someone here that caused that glitch today , I have plenty of back ups. In fact I have a whole office full of machines with all types of OS unlike people who have to go to the internet cafe because they cannot afford a computer  Grin

Thank you for the compliment about my work and yes sir that's not a problemo,I'll bring over the shine box. I only accept iXcoin and that works out at about 10k iXc per hoof excluding call out charge  (I only fly business class while on the job so call out fee depends on distance Cool) and tip. If you can afford that let me know and we can sort something out for you. As for the other technical issues I cannot help with that as I am an illiterate (I had my PA write this) who only shines shoes but takes pride in my work and can assure you of a good job once you forward the advance deposit Smiley

I have a Ukrainian friend who is now a widow and her son is no longer the son of a widow because he has also been killed and the only person she hates as much as Putin is Zelensky. The oligarchs should send their husbands, wives and children to the front first to lead the charge.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IXCoin [IXC] The Original Bitcoin Sidechain on: March 01, 2024, 01:27:38 PM
What?
They should be around 180k left right now
it means about 300k ixc were donated ?
can you check if this number decreases of 1 ixc every time a block is generated ?

Apologies. Aye you would be about right with that number but will check later as wallet wasn't fully synced but will check again later ...as it must have hung and stuck from about 3 years ago on the blockchain (A mere unintentional oversight on my behalf, please forgive) ...unless cornhodlr gets back to you in the meantime Smiley

Anyway on this machine with the wallet only synced up to may 2022 I did 3 separate requests for you to look at the difference in block and fund from one total to another and it confirms that it does indeed decrease 1 ixc every time a block is generated as per below. Hope this helps.

Is it me, or is this process taking a horribly long time before everything is distributed and liquidated?

The longer it takes the more it generates revenue for liquidator et al and they will make sure to exhaust any value leftover to secure their fees. That is their priority and then they see what's left for the creditor. This process can go on until the trust is wound up and can last years depending on the complexity of the case. Cryptopia seems to have taken a bit longer than the norm probably due to the amount of accounts there and a time threshold for holders to engage with the claims process.

keep people busy and their mind off lambos and all that other worthless egotistical trash.Money is for helping the hopeless and worthless material junk does not bring satisfaction to peoples lives if only for a short time.

Nothing wrong with owning a lambo cornhodlr if that's what floats your boat. You could help a "hopeless lambo" with some of that good ole moolah and a bit of elbow grease and feel very satisfied after all your hard efforts. This ones "twin" is reserved for Vlad though when we hit $1000. I know he likes this color. I also have another one on the operating table ready to be sold for the orphans and widows to some "egotistical buyer"  so don't be too hard on those egotistical folks because not too many poor people can buy stuff that is capable of generating funds that can be of any use to anyone. Good old free market capitalism Cool

Ixcoin is a fork of Bitcoin with twice the inflation rate of Bitcoin and the same 21 million total limit.
Ixcoin is intended to closely mirror code updates to Bitcoin to allow for easy interoperability with Bitcoin-related third party services and APIs.

iXcoin (IXC) is the second oldest alt-coin, launched 10 days after Namecoin. iXcoin is a clone of Bitcoin, the only identical Bitcoin Twin in existence, fully matured and fully distributed, low cost P2p network to offer irreversible, low cost, highly scalable transactions. IXC an open source & decentralized digital currency,

How does Ixcoin differ from Bitcoin?

Ixcoin is merge mined with Bitcoin
http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/273/how-does-merged-mining-work

Shorter maturity period
All Ixcoins were been generated by  Oct 2014. Mining relies solely on transaction fees now. Ixcoin reached it's maturity  ~18 years before Bitcoin's.

New blockchain
Although Bitcoin's blockchain is in the same format as Ixcoin's, they use different genesis blocks and have a different reward scheme. So Bitcoins will not be valid in the Ixcoin blockchain and vice-versa.

Different default ports
Bitcoin's operating port 8332 is now 8337 with Ixcoin.
Bitcoin's RPC server port 8333 is now 8338 with Ixcoin.

New key format
Wallet public keys now start with the letter x instead of the number 1 for Bitcoins.
Bitcoin wallet key: 175tWpb8K1S7NmH4Zx6rewF9WQrcZv245W
Ixcoin wallet key : x75tWpb8K1S7NmH4Zx6rewF9WQrcZv245W

FAQ FROM THE ORIGINAL WEBSITE IXCOIN.ORG with links updated

P2P Virtual Currency
Ixcoin is a peer-to-peer currency based on Bitcoin with a shorter maturity. Peer-to-peer means that no central authority issues new money or tracks transactions. These tasks are managed collectively by the network which currently secures Ixcoin with 10 PetaHash/s. Ixcoin is the first Bitcoin clone or Alternative chain, created in May 2011 just a few weeks after the distributed DNS Namecoin. Today, there exists many Bitcoin clones.

General
What is Ixcoin?

Ixcoin is an open source digital currency, based on the cryptocurrency Bitcoin, which is distributed over a peer-to-peer network to offer irreversible, low-cost, anonymous and decentralized monetary transactions. Ixcoin is the first Bitcoin clone or Alternative chain, created in May 2011 just a few weeks after the distributed DNS Namecoin. Today, there exists many Bitcoin clones.

Ixcoins are the unit of currency of the Ixcoin system. Similarly to Bitcoin's BTC, a commonly used shorthand for this is “IXC” to refer to a price or amount (eg: “100 IXC”). An Ixcoin isn't tangible. It is just a number associated with a Ixcoin Address, which is a string of 33 numbers and letters which begin with the letter x such as xa9jpgHugb2pTCpzoZcDdiHKepy8mjpddX. How does Ixcoin differ from Bitcoin?

Shorter maturity period

There are currently ~11M (as of June 2013) in existence and it is expected that all 21 million Bitcoins will have been generated by 2033. Whereas all 21 million Ixcoins are available now in 2015. This is because 16*6=96 IXC were created per new block, instead of 50 BTC in Bitcoin.

Ixcoin maturity will be reached ~18 years before Bitcoin's. By mid-2013, the number of IXC and BTC will reach parity (for a brief moment).

New blockchain

Although Bitcoin's blockchain is in the same format as Ixcoin's, they use different genesis blocks and have a different reward scheme. So Bitcoins will not be valid in the Ixcoin blockchain and vice-versa.

Different default ports

Bitcoin's operating port 8333 is changed to 8337 with Ixcoin.

Bitcoin's RPC server port 8332 is defaulted to 8338 in Ixcoin.

Merged Mining

Ixcoin implemented merge mining with Bitcoin in 2012. Merge mining allows a Bitcoin miner to mine for more than one block chain at the same time. The benefit is that every hash the miner does contributes to the total hash rate of both (all) currencies, and as a result they are all more secure.

New key format

Wallet public keys now start with the letter x instead of the number 1 as in Bitcoins:

Bitcoin wallet key

    175tWpb8K1S7NmH4Zx6rewF9WQrcZv245W

Ixcoin wallet key

    x75tWpb8K1S7NmH4Zx6rewF9WQrcZv245W

Where is my wallet stored in Ixcoin?

Your Ixcoin wallet is stored in the Ixcoin data directory. This is the same location format as with Bitcoin and will typically be of the form:

    Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application data\IxCoin

    Windows Vista/7 C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\IxCoin

    Linux ~/.ixcoin/

    Mac ~/Library/Application Support/Ixcoin/

Can I use my bitcoin.conf and bitcoin.pid with Ixcoin?

Yes. Just rename them respectively to ixcoin.conf and ixcoin.pid and move them to your system's wallet directory (see above). Alternatively, use the command switches -conf=<file> and -pid=<file> respectively to point to your custom bitcoin.conf and bitcoin.pid files.
Are there any other differences between Ixcoin and Bitcoin?

Apart from those listed above, Ixcoin is a direct fork of the original Bitcoin source code. The goal is for Ixcoin to mirror Bitcoin's code exactly (apart from listed differences) in the future.

Note that dnsseeds are disabled by default in the build until an Ixcoin DNS seed formed.

How many Ixcoins will there be?

21 million Ixcoins, just like Bitcoin. But Ixcoin will reach full maturity ~18 years before Bitcoin.

Can I run both Ixcoin and Bitcoin at the same time?

Yes. Both clients can run side-by-side.

Are Bitcoin client clones compatible with Ixcoin?

Most Bitcoin client clones will need minor modifications to work with Ixcoin such as changing the operating port to 8337, altering the blockchain verification code if any and changing the address generation algorithm.

Can I use my Bitcoins as Ixcoins?

No. Bitcoins have the same relationship to Ixcoin as they have to any other currency (e.g. USD, GBP). You would need to exchange/convert them for valid Ixcoins first via an exchanger service.

Are my Bitcoin addresses compatible with Ixcoin?

No. Your Bitcoin addresses/keypairs will not be recognized by the Ixcoin blockchain, so although they might work they will not point to valid Bitcoins (and vice-versa).

You will need to either mine Ixcoins or use an exchanger to convert fiat currency or Bitcoins for Ixcoins.

How do I convert my Bitcoins to Ixcoins?

Via an exchanger that will buy/sell bitcoins for Ixcoins and vice-versa, such as Cryptopia , Yobit , CoinExchange

How do I mine Ixcoins?

As of October 2014 mining is complete but the blockchain can still send coins because of merged mining with bitcoin. However, from block 450,000 an hard fork (0.14.1) will allow the distribution to miners of all the premine.

What is value of a Ixcoin?

Like Bitcoins and other currencies, the current spot value of a Ixcoin with regards to other denominations will likely vary depending on supply and demand.

Where can I download Ixcoin source code?

Where can I download precompiled Ixcoin client?

https://github.com/IXCore/IXCoin/releases

What license if Ixcoin distributed under?

Under the MIT License, like Bitcoin

What does the Ixcoin version number mean?

Ixcoin will keep the same version naming convention as the Bitcoin releases. Therefore version 0.14.1 of Ixcoin corresponds to a modified version of Bitcoin release 0.14.1. The intend is to keep Ixcoin tailing any new updates to Bitcoin.

Who owns Ixcoin?

Everybody. You are welcome to submit code to the https://github.com/IXCore/IXCoin/releases which the community members in the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1616394.0 will vote to include or not in the next release of Ixcoin. However, Ixcoin is intended to closely mirror code updates to Bitcoin (except for differences previously outlined) to allow for easy interoperability with Bitcoin-related third party services and APIs.

Who created Ixcoin?

The Ixcoin fork of Bitcoin was created by Thomas Nasakioto in May 2011.

Is it profitable to mine Ixcoin?

With merged mining, little extra work is necessary to mine Ixcoin alongside Bitcoin which benefits both chains and increases rewards.

Will Ixcoin replace Bitcoin?

Ixcoin will exist in parallel to Bitcoin, just like multiple currencies coexist today. Exchanges will enable BTC/IXC conversions and the market will determine the value of each.

Where can I find out more about Ixcoin?

Since most Bitcoin-related material also applies to Ixcoin, please refer to the Bitcoin Wiki for more information. For current events contact the growing community of developers and board members of the Ixcoin Project.
