Hugs for everyone!

*hugs*

You should start a free attaboy thread also...

The origin of attaboy is the military which give me the hunch that it wouldn't be very popular on a crypto anarchistic board, plus I don't believe in the military myself and it sounds like something you'd say to a dog but maybe it's just me.

I want 1 hug Smiley

Hi All,

My friend JT is most definitely in need of one GIANT hug.  His pet weevil died, and he simply does not know what to do.

Thanks in advance for huggage action.

Always makes me feel for the person when it's a pet, for some reason witnessing animal abuse has always affected me more than the abuse of people.  Sad

I see that many people still bet on the chain, it's your time all the people complained about the bets not being placed instantly  Wink
264  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Irrational 1% Jealousy on: July 25, 2013, 11:41:03 AM
The problem of poor people is how well they can get out of poverty, not how the high-level part of society distributes wealth. Any redistribution in just Europe or the USA that decreases overall efficiency would just starve more people in poor countries. I don't remember seeing protest banners reading "We speak for the 1.29 billion", the people below the poverty line who are likely to die from lack of food and medicine. Is it not hypocrisy to call some exact distribution near the top "unfair" while neglecting over a BILLION people elsewhere?
Absolutely.  "Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."  And "cast the first stone," and all that stuff.  99-percenters are just as rotten as 1-percenters.  And some are whinier.
Many of the 99% are in the 1% globally.  When we see our burden as tormenting those above rather than aiding those below...jealousy is greed.

Absolutely.  Ideally, the 99% should not only take from the 1%, but distribute to those below them.

Magnanimous people have no vanity, they have no jealousy, and they feed on the true and the solid wherever they find it. And, what is more, they find it everywhere.
-Van Wyck Brooks

Those are saints, very rare both in the 99% and the 1%.  Being poor is no assurance of sainthood -- people are poor by birth, through circumstance & all sorts of personal shortcomings.  Being wealthy, otoh, nearly precludes sainthood -- a (Christian) saint who happened onto wealth gives it away.  This is in no way a ceremon, i don't advocate sainthood or shoot for it myself -- simply an analysis:  If you want to find a saint, looking among the 1% is impractical.

Rather look among the narcissistic wretched filth that takes upon themselves the role of God.

Scammers, addicts, liars, the streets are full with them, I think that what makes you either a good person or a bad one depends on your personality traits rather than your financial status.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Zealots and Criminals, Is no one using bitcoin for legitimate purchases? on: July 24, 2013, 07:19:39 AM
is there anyone using the internet, the banking system or the road for legitimate purposes? I've heard lot's of tax evaders use the interstate highway system, and child molesters too. I think the govt should either

1. ) Search every car utilizing the interstate highway system in the name of national security.
2. ) install cameras in every car, which can be monitored by the new NSA data centers.
3. ) Shut down all roads and put up check points manned by the TSA, and only permit cars with a license to pass through, and naturally you'd need a separate license for each state, and for each type and brand of car.

If all else fails, just nuke all the highways from Orbit to make sure.

The funny thing is that you see Americans make ridicule of North Korea yet they are subjected to the very same kind of propaganda and the scary part is that they actually believe it.

When the government busts businesses like Liberty Reserve it's not because they don't want people to launder money, it's because they want people to launder money using THEIR freelancers (e.g. the Wall Street) at heightened rates. They are this giant 5000lbs mammoth sitting on your neck and drinking your blood and killing competing mosquitos that happen to want an insignificant part of the action.

Provably Fair

After I receive your bet I will pull out camtasia recorder and video me generating a random number on random.org.  I will then make a payout video and upload all the rolls together to youtube once a week.

This really needs to be addressed.  If you say you're going to upload the videos once a week you really need to stick to that.  Anything else is suspicious.
Stop being paranoid - this is possibly fair.  Nothing to worry about.

Probably fair

I looked at the site for the first time in awhile and it still looks like you have to send to a specific address and not deposit then bet with your credit. The site is casinobit.net right?

I am not sure I follow, you can both deposit and bet instantly since we confirm all the deposits with 0 confirmations or you can send directly to the betting address but bets larger than 40$ will be delayed until the number of confirmations is reached, bets under 40$ will be placed instantly.

273  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin will never reach mainstream on: July 19, 2013, 11:35:35 AM
Bitcoin will never reach the mainstream because there are far too many crooks, scammers, hackers and the like preying on everyone else aswell as each other. And because of the anonymity they are much less likely to be traced.

Unless the whole business has more accountability it will always remain underground and be treated with suspicion by mainstream consumers and businesses alike.

With difficulty reaching such high levels in a few months putting mining outside the realm of 99% of current miners I forsee the interest in BTC dieing out quite rapidly and the whole charade collapsing.

Dramatic, yes. Probable, yes.

There are many more crooks, scammers and hackers reversing Paypal transactions (and Paypal themselves) than Bitcoin will ever have.
274  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Irrational 1% Jealousy on: July 18, 2013, 11:21:11 PM
I second everything, first of all the 1% owns 40%, not 90%, secondly read Atlas Shrugged, if you are a lazy c*nt no one owes you squat!

It's pretty scary how people seem to think that someone owes them anything for no apparent reason, to put this into perspective:

You have person A (we'll call him Kanye West) and you have person B (Bob), Bob has hurt his knee and unable to work for a month and support himself in a theoretical society without welfare, Kanye West has more money than he could EVER spend in a lifetime (spending money is his fulltime job!), is it moral to take 300$ from Kanye West and give it to Bob so he will be able to support himself for the month?

I don't think so, I don't think that it would be moral to even take a cent from Kanye even if Bobs life depended on it, because putting your hand into someones pocket in order to save another persons life is no better or nobler than theft and it reduces Kanye to slavery, after all the working definition of slavery is precisely that: the forcible use of one person to serve the purposes of another.

Plus no laws are as strict and as true as the ones written on the hearts of men, chances are Bob would still survive the month because the rich are also givers and he would likely be supported by his community as long as they aren't poverty stricken too and they see that Bob is NOT a slob who's doing tattoos with their money.

I'm not sure it's good news satoshidice doesn't belong to the real economy. I'd rather wait for news from a dealer who would sell cars in BTC only. Still, it's an astonishing achievement. You could have bought several superb houses and many cars for that kind of money!

This, I wouldn't pay even half the amount for a business which could potentially crash tomorrow, or even worse, get wrecked by Gavin and other 3rd parties.
276  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinobit SimplePoker - The First Bitcoin Poker (For fun) on: July 18, 2013, 06:06:03 PM

Affiliates are now up! You pass your facebook user ID like
Code:
http://www.casinobit.net/poker/?aff=23423423
and every account that registers from that user ID will give you 30% of the rake instantly after every game for a lifetime. That's better than any casino I've heard off and we're planning to keep it this way.

I encourage everyone to test this.

Facebook id is found when logged into account on URL ...?id=XXXXX, correct?

http://findmyfacebookid.com/

Got "Unable to lookup Facebook numeric ID. You can try again, or see this tutorial for an alternate method.", alternate method is useless, any suggestions?

When you login it should be on the URL ?id=xxxxx, I was just looking for methods for less advanced users and findmyfacebookid have worked for me.

279  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Dice Game on: July 17, 2013, 07:22:00 PM
I think people like dice due to its simpicity and the speed at which you can make bets.  I personally perfer blackjack and poker myself.

But in fact you are getting an inferior service and potentially using a website with a poor interface and/or security. Not even saying this as an administrator of a live roulette website but I would much rather bet on real life events rather than a bunch of dorks hashing each others hashes in someones basement.
280  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin Dice Game on: July 17, 2013, 07:05:21 PM
I already know the funniest one.

Is this vote provably fair?  Wouldn't it be better if you made us video ourselves voting?

Insanity dice is probably fair.

Anyway I didn't really vote, I honestly don't see the fun in gambling with dice, seems rather boring to me. I much rather place a wager on a boxing match or something and cheer through the whole thing, same thing with football, I don't even watch it, never played it but I'd sure as hell cheer for the team I placed my bet on  Tongue
