I'd contact them about that job if it wasn't in Maryland. I'm too lazy to pack up and move, lol!

This user has transferred the owed BTC3 and has made this situation right.

A good outcome!

Thank you for the support everyone.

Glad to hear it! Smiley

you are asking for over double what it's worth in silver content  Undecided

Intrinsic value to collectors, that is not a cull to be traded at melt.

I've got a bucket of 1922 peace dollars, theyre only worth $22 each. Not $45 in BTC. Complete ripoff

Fair enough there. I'm not a silver/gold collector, so I don't keep up with the value or content very well. I had looked the coin's value up before posting, so the price was reflecting what I felt the value was for either silver or collecting purposes, as well as the shipping price.

I just updated the price to something that may be more appropriate, whether you want the silver or whether you want to collect it. Plus, again, the included shipping cost.

How did she break her collarbone in a rear-end collision? Rear-end accidents typically cause neck or head injuries to the driver being struck.

Most clavicle fractures happen when falling onto the shoulder, or falling with an outstretched arm. Direct impact is another cause, but you'd have to be struck from the front.

Once it became obvious he was lying, he abandoned the account and moved to the next one.

I was about to mention the same. His post count has been at 20 for the last few days.

Sorry to hear that you got scammed. Sad

I agree with Hamdi: let him know that you'll pass his info to the authorities if he doesn't pay what he owes.

You work for Microsoft, right? You have his gamertag? Couldn't you report his gamertag for using stolen codes?

Successful trade! Seller communicated very quickly and provided the download codes ASAP. A+, and I'll be keeping an eye out to buy from him again!  Grin

Sorry thats happend u pal   Undecided

There's a good handful here and there. Check out tomatocage's "How to spot a scammer" thread in the scam accusations and lending subforums for tips on how to spot fishy behavior. And Paypal is generally a no-no.

His topics seemed really fishy to me last night. His absolute refusal to accept escrow and requesting everyone send payment first while only having 20-30 posts? Not right at all.

72  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SELLING 16.8 BITCOINS FOR PAYPAL on: February 24, 2013, 04:43:01 AM
I already mentioned this, but with needing them gone tonight and requiring the buyer to send first? Getting the standard rate on those coins will be very difficult.
73  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting a Bitcoin Bank. on: February 24, 2013, 03:55:01 AM
After reflecting on it the whole concept of a bank is a little unnerving. Yes, I'm going to pay you to hold onto my money, surely this is a good  idea. How'd this all get started to begin with and why'd we ever go along with it?

Security was probably the biggest factor, and it's essentially what you're paying for. You can keep all your money in your home in a shoe (or, if you're wealthy, in a silk slipper) or you can keep it in a bank vault. In that sense, bank fees don't bother me too much.

Problem is that a lot of banks began charging fees for anything they could think of. The bank I alluded to earlier is one of the worst I've seen in my area, along with Wells Fargo. My bank isn't bad at all: I pay $1 a month, and that's it. But when I see statements from some of the banks in this country... well, I truly wonder how the owner of the bank can sleep at night (aside from "on top of a golden mattress stuffed with $100 bills).
74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will there be a government tax on virtual currencies? on: February 24, 2013, 03:48:23 AM
It's a separate currency not run by the US. It's subject to it's own market and can't be regulated like the US dollar. It'd be tricky for any government including the US to put a tax on a currency.

The US doesn't really tax the dollar; it taxes income. The source doesn't make too big a difference. That's why, for example, the guests on Oprah's show that were given "free cars" had to claim the cars on their tax returns as income. Even though they weren't paid in USD, it was still income for tax purposes.

LOL I meant ill buy 3 btc for 30 dollars LOL MY bad

ill give you 3btc for 30 dollars right now

I don't think he's buying them, but you shouldn't have a hard time selling BTC for $10 each. Wink Hell, I'd buy them from you at that rate if you're willing to either send first or use an escrow.

OP: You might have some difficulty moving these quickly if you're only accepting the standard rate. I only mention that since you want them gone tonight. I would also be careful accepting Paypal from anyone that does not have a good track record.

That makes a lot more sense XD

77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Might sound like a newb question... on: February 24, 2013, 03:32:57 AM
A wire transfer can take 1-4 business days depending on your bank. BTC deposits take between 1-24 hours usually. You might have an additional wait if you need to verify your account first. Not sure how long that would take.
78  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 1 or a few BTC for PP on: February 24, 2013, 03:29:37 AM
Most people will not accept Paypal as a payment method due to frequent chargeback issues. It's arguably the riskiest (and most hated) payment method around here. New members like yourself will have a very hard time finding a reputable person willing to sell for PP.
79  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Might sound like a newb question... on: February 24, 2013, 03:25:47 AM
I don't think Mt.Gox limits how many you can buy. I know they limit withdrawals though ($1,000 a day, $10,000 a month).
80  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting a Bitcoin Bank. on: February 24, 2013, 03:21:35 AM
So, I will pay you 5% of my money for you to hold on to my money for me?
Then every time I want to spend any of my money, I will pay you another 2.5% of the transaction for the privilege of you letting me spend my own money?

Hell, it's not like existing banks don't do that already. Wink

I have a client whose bank charges them an inactivity fee: a charge to their account for not spending their own money. When they do spend their money? They get normal activity fees.

I won't say which bank it is, but I wouldn't trust them any day under the sun. >.>
