What are you basing how many coins you should have on WeMineLTC?

Is it based on what you "used to get"?

Difficulty's always going up.

~richgene

Just checked the dgc profit calc and I should be getting 114 coins a day... So 28 for over half a day is far too low... I know there is something up, I can tell... It was the same with wemineltc... Can remember the exact figures now but I ran on that pool for 24 hours.

read up on pplns

Dude please, I have been mining a couple months now I am not a complete noob, I know what pplns is and I have mined on many different pools... I know it takes a little while to kick in but never that long, especially on big pools... I know about varience too... When I was with litebonk sometimes I could go 23 hours with nothing but I always knew it would level out... But the bigger the pool the less varience there should be right? Which is why I switched in the first place... This is defo something else...

Anyway trying out another pool now and I will report back my findings...
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][DGC][POOL][PPLNS][anti-DDoS][5 CONFIRMS TO PAYOUT] DigitalCoin pool on: June 06, 2013, 02:09:45 PM
Can I just ask how many coins would you expect me to get a day with 1400 kh/s? And can I try out your pool for a day and get you to look at my stats to see if you can see if something is wrong? I checked the calc and it says I should get 112 or something so 28 for over 12 hours is nowhere near what I should be getting...

Just don't understand it, I have never had these problems before...

Edit: I have joined your pool and hope you can help me get to the bottom of it... If I get problems on your pool then it must be something my end... If not then I don't know what to think... Btw if all goes well I will stick with your pool, it looks nice!

Try a P2Pool like mine.
You can verify the fee charged is correct by entering  http://caish5.com:8900/fee just modify the address for your P2Pool node of choice.
As far as I can tell there are no other opportunities in P2Pool for pool owners to steal blocks as is possible with other systems.

...Not that I'm saying any particular pool is up to no good just that it is possible.

Okay I will look into that mate, thanks a lot... Just don't get it, this has been going on for the past few days now. Would like to get to the bottom of it, I mean it could be something my end I suppose... I have gone back to litebonk for now to see what happens.

Well yes and no... I moved from litebonk just cos I fancied a steadier payout, but I got less with wemineltc, a lot less... The difficulty was the same, I do keep an eye on those kinds of things... Don't know what is up.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is up with the pools????? on: June 06, 2013, 01:29:06 PM
So no-one else is having any issues? Can't believe it is just me...

Have just been using dgcpool.com guys and I have been getting ripped off, I have been mining over 12 hours and only got 28 coins... I had the same problem with wemineltc... Something is very a miss! I have 1400+ kh/s

WTF is going on?

Sorry I know this is not your pool op but couldn't find a thread for dgcpool...

So pissed off with this!

Edit: just to add I thought it was a bit wrong so I noticed my coins and how many blocks were yet unconfirmed, came back and some blocks had confirmed but no change to my coins!
does this has anything to do with http://dgc.epools.org ? Not sure why did you post this here...

I posted here cos it was the first dgc pool thread I saw but I probably shouldn't have, made my own thread now...

Drugs are BAD !
Paddlers must die ! Wink

What is a "paddler"? lol

And I guess wanting to kill people is much better than selling certain substances, and people buying certain substances (that YOU don't like), of their own FREE will...

Man people like you just perplex me, why do you hate people's choices so bad? In fact so bad that you want to kill them for it!

Do you go into a supermarket and want to kill the owner or csahier for selling cigarettes or alcohol? How about fatty food or sugar... How about salt? That can be pretty bad for you if you take it all the time... How about knives? Baseballbats? guns? cars? trains,  busses? They can all kill you and cause a lot of harm...

I don't know, sometimes I fear for the human race, everyone (okay not everyone but damn near it) gets off on controlling other people! Pretty damn sad...

As for the market place, I haven't checked it out yet but bravo all the same! We need more people like you in the world! Smiley
252  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Trade by yourself! Avoid middleman! Ripple -Buying/selling XRP-Noob guide on: June 03, 2013, 07:40:59 PM
No fees, but are more prone to being glitched, and its hard to withdraw as there not REAL bitcoins you get in return. you get fake btc

Actually using bitstamp as a gateway is the same than using it as an online wallet. If you don't trust bitstamp then don't use it. If you think they are could be trust then there is no reason to say those bitcoin are not real :p

you know it iron. Stop trying to be the middleman ahah

Well I know nothing about bitstamp, I will look into them a bit though and see what's up... I am a little confused though by this bit... "there is no reason to say those bitcoin are not real"...

Sounds like there is a question there as to whether they are real or not... That is a little concerning. lol... Or is it the same as when you have them on any other exchange? As in you are not really trading "real" bitcoin but rather just numbers and then they release "real" bitcoins when you withdraw?

On a side note this guy has been trying to buy my xrp's for a discount! lol...

Either way I will do some more research and then see what I decide to do.

So far I am inclined to believe you as you don't stand to gain anything... lol

I'm willing to buy cheap xrp from people who are lazy or have no time to learn how to use ripple. Anyway I'm also willing to help the community and give very simple information that can make you save a lot of time. You're welcome Wink

That is fair enough, thanks again... It has made things a little clearer and I will NOT be lazy and do some more research! lol

Good luck to you sir. Smiley

I described everything very clearly. The best I could do know is put some screenshot or come at your home and do it for you. I can do it for you online and I invite to buy/sell from me Smiley

Wait what? lol... I can do it dude, that is not the problem! Just want to look more into which gateway to trust etc... No need for you to come round and do it for me... And no, now I have no need for the middleman! lol Smiley

Can someone just clear up one thing... So when you make a trade are there any fees involved either through ripple or bitstamp?

And say I had been trading for a while then I want some bitcoins to go direct to my personal wallet, I guess I send from ripple to bitstamp and then from bitstamp to my wallet... Are there any fees incured in that process?

Thanks a lot and it was a good guide cos it got me started, not made a trade yet. Gonna wait a little while till I understand it some more. Cheers
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I sell my XRP's? on: June 03, 2013, 03:15:44 PM
ive seen this: still working? how long untill btc transfer go through?  I sold a few ripples to try.

Did you sell them through the ripple network? How did it go?

I did this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209338.0

After some minutes  I got on bitstamp the exact same ammount of btc I bought with my ripples.

I must be tired. I could swear I have put that on my previous post.

Ahhh okay thanks, I hadn't seen that guide yet, I will check it out... Although in that guide it gives the ripple gateway address, is that the same address for everyone then? How does that work?

Thanks for your input though, good on you...

You may now go to bed! Smiley lol (I was up till 4am last night in the cryptoworld, addictive, ain't it! lol)

you can find buyer in market section of bitcointalk

Cheers dude, someone actually offered me 0.5 BTC through pm... I just don't get why people value them so high... Why don't we all just create our own coins and give a few out to get the ball rolling? lmao... Things are getting crazy in the crypto world. When I first learned of BTC I could see the value and the idea (mimicking gold digging)... But now it is just getting silly!

Gonna start a snazzycoin! You wanna buy some? lmao

idone with the altcoin after WDC, too much shit for me.
I said samething in trollbox, everyone donate 1 BTC and we can make our own ripple company. we got fund hahahah

Yeah I have been a little burned with altcoins too, it really isn't goos when there is a new one everyday either...

I do think though that is where the money is (starting a coin)... There will always be people that will buy apparently... The cryptoworld has changed so much in such a short space of time... I wish it was like it was a couple years ago...

Now it is regulation this and regulation that... Bitcoin was supposed to bypass all that crap but aparently it can't, gov will get their dirty little fingers in some how! lol

That is my guess. The chart stopped a few hours ago and there is no volume (buy/sell).
is the first time I see it.

They must of known I was coming! lol... I did notice there were no trades for a good few hours but of course having never used it that could of been normal... Okay well for now I have signed up with bitstamp and I will try to add it on ripple and see what happens.

Maybe as it is down it might not let me, we will see.

Thanks again...

Btw what is causing the high price for xrp? How do they have any value at all? Considering they are just being given away and such. And they are 100% premined... Got any theories on that?

I have no Idea why the prices are too high. I think its pure speculation and false scarcity. Because there are 100bi XRP available and, at this price you could by all the Bitcoins available and all the Litecoins and so on..

That is pretty crazy! Though I suspect if the creators did try that the price would soon plummet! lol... I think it is a scam personally, they even lie and say that it is not regulated but if you go on the forum they are all for regulation! lol
