661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gekko - a javascript trading bot for nodejs on: July 06, 2013, 01:09:41 AM
I have finally found the bug regarding BTC-e monitoring. Gekko broke over BTC-e monitoring because bitcoinCharts (the API Gekko uses to get trade data from BTC-e) changed the way services can ask for trade data (silently).

Current workaround for BTC-e users:
  • Set debug in the config to true (line 145)
  • Set the candles to something lower than 40 (line 22)
  • Run Gekko
  • Check whether the calulcated EMAs are NaN, if they are lower the 40 number

The reason the 40 number can be different is that now bitcoinCharts will return the last 2000 trades, and how long ago the oldest one happened depends on the market.
Ok I'll try that but how do I set up a trade or anything like that I've read this config 100 times maybe for people like me lol you can show a example than I can go off that.
662  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gekko - a javascript trading bot for nodejs on: July 06, 2013, 12:14:18 AM
That's strange... I get no update after an hour (interval is 60 in config.js)... in fact I left it for a day and no update. It just checks the EMA once and then no more... but continues running.
If I quit and rerun it does the same - gives one advice and then no more

How do you know it's still working? I ran it, it gave one trade advice... and nothing else since...
By default it runs every hour.
I'm having the same problem it's not working for me
663  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ATP [Advanced Trading Platform] on: July 06, 2013, 12:11:35 AM
Use a recent java version.
I have the latest just downloaded from the site

Problem might be that you still have the previously installed version selected as default. On linux use java-config to select the version you want.
I'm on a Mac so not sure what to do to get it working

I have read the read me but don't see anything on how to get it going i got the git but thats about it i also have java 1.7 could you point out what to do next btw thanks for the quick answer

You don't need the entire git repository. Just download the jar file aidoatp.jar and follow the readme using Java 1.7.

Another user has this working on Mac so it should be fairly straightforward.
Can you point me to this user so I can ask him or her what was done to get it working ?

This is my wife's post

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=248345.0

she can't post here yet.

It can be pretty painful doing your "newbie time" 5 posts and 2 hours hard reading.....when all you want to do is post in the section you have interest in.....

Good job your wife has somebody in the inner circle haha
Could just pay 2.00 USD and than your out of the newbie thread

I'm glad to hear that the pool is working. i was unable to connect to it for the longest time. commission will be 15 coins per day. i know thats not much but i have to conserve the funds i have. you'd be surprised how quickly it goes.

there are still lots of bounties open so i will repost whats available in the first post.
Are you sure you corrected right to the pool ?

If anyone has a few k they can throw at my pool that would be great, hard to test when things take so long on this coin to confirm. Smiley http://mec.usr.io 0% fee, random block bonus if you decide to donate.
Nice nick wish I knew how to get pushpool to work Lol
