We may have a 51% attack attempt on DGC today...this could get interesting.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=236498.0

while the dev may be confident in the coin being able to withstand this, as a pool op who has supported this coin since launch, donated > 650DGC from pool donations, and will undoubtedly be ddos'd into oblivion as part of any attack, I must say I'm not too thrilled with DGC right now, nor the recklessness of those comments.  Be confident, fine, but don't throw the entire pool infrastructure running to support your coin into the line of fire for no good reason.    Angry

I am heavily invested as well and have donated plenty.  Am I worried?  NO!  I believe DGC to be the next altcoin to succeed, this is the time to find out what it is made of.  The coin will be attacked regardless.  Just maybe later than sooner.  The community will rally behind DGC and its Dev.

Can you give the raised feel to the purple M ? I feel like it might love have that embossed Iridium feel to it.
Love the spun silver look. Would be fun to see a slogan on the rim of the coin. Like not a copy paste coin or maybe Dr. Approved lol.
oh how about, Port 9338 'Just to F**K with litecoin! on the reverse side Wink. Maybe Dr Kimoto has a slogan already picked out?

Haven't had much time but here is are some different ones:

Oh so you haven't had time to do one for me ?

I'll work on a logo tonight or tomorrow and submit it here and on the other thread.
For me?

You and the main logo contest. I have some awesome templates I made previously that I can modify. Extremely high quality 20+ inch files that can be used on anything from pens to billboards. They take a long time to render but it is worth the effort.

I think an awesome website and logo go a long ways with drawing attention and giving a product a personal voice and sense of professionalism. Identity is very important.
Any news on that logo?

Just got back home finally. Was out for father's day. I will get to work on it now and see what I can come up with.
Thanks again I'll be up for a little bit

874  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Abe 0.7: Open Source Block Explorer Knockoff on: June 17, 2013, 03:06:35 AM
Hello John again i'm getting errors i've tried what you told me it just skips the blocks not sure why than this

block_tx 8470 8734
Skipped 72 bytes at block end
block_tx 8471 8735
Skipped 72 bytes at block end

This is not an error, just a warning.  This coin puts some extra data at the end of each block beyond what Bitcoin puts.  Abe does not know what it is for, so it skips it.  Can you browse the site?

No the page does not work, I've been going crazy with this

There still seems to be some anomalous behavior with confirmations taking a long time on some of the pools.  Any insight?

TIA,

gox node

If you have issues with push pools. You can use p2pool like the one below. You will get the mined coins once the block is found without further processing delays.

I've added a new p2pool.

Here are the parameters:

cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8110 -u yourMEGAaddress -p . --queue 0 -s 1

statistics available here: http://next.afraid.org:8110. This pool uses a PPLNS payout scheme, and is stratum enabled. The PPLNS window is set to only one hour.

2% fee at this time.

----
This one is up, and fully reliable.

The pool is still there and will be maintained.

Fully working and maintained.

That pool hasn't found a block in 24 hours. I would have better luck going solo.

I think that pool was down most of last night. I was moving around a bit to check out some of the new pools going up and got an "unable to connect" message all night with the IP.
Could always use http://coinworld.us:8881/static/

Is this the same as http://coinworld.us:7777/static?

Because this is the one I've been mostly mining on for P2pool (though not right this minute).
Yes

Come by and mine
http://coinworld.us:8881/static/
Where did everyone go? Get your miners back don't lose out

I think people jump from one coin to the next depending on what's profitable that minute.

Waste of hashing power if you ask me

whats a waste jumping or mining MEC you lost me on that one ?

My apologies for the confusion.

What I meant was, it seems like a waste of hashing power to jump from coin to coin depending on what coinwarz.com (or any other site) says is the most profitable to mine.

The "most profitable" coin seems to change by the minute. I would think that jumping from one to the next - as the tide turns - would eliminate much of the potential profitability of all coins. Though I haven't done the math to support this belief.

To each his own. It wasn't my intention to debate the best method or strategy of mining. Was only offering a possible explanation to your query, "where did everyone go?".

Understood

Do you need a new logo or anything?

Willing to give some support if you need any to get this coin the attention it needs .
I could use a logo for the block explorer page
