161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don`t care about the market. I will HODL to USE! on: November 27, 2018, 04:45:19 PM
The reasons behind of which you prefer to leave your money in Btc is very fantastic and I would say it reflects the main reason for crypto. I must admit that we are in a very bad time and many have lost more than half of their investment but there are still real and clear reasons why some of us wouldnt go anywhere
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can’t trust anyone! on: November 17, 2018, 09:26:23 PM
You are out rightly right. We can rely of such ratings to do investment. It is right to do our personal investigations about any ICO we would like to invest before we do so.
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did you ever regret having gotten into Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2018, 09:20:21 PM
I do not regret joining or knowing Btc. I however regret some decisions I have taken since i joined. Sometimes I feel that most of the new entrants who wrongly see Btc as a get-rich-quick avenue may regret their actions now some years/months to come.
164  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does holding really make us avoid losses? on: November 17, 2018, 09:15:31 PM
One thing you should know is that no one can determine what you choose to do with your coins. All decisions rest with you but it is sometimes important that we learn from the experiences of earlier adopters. Hodling can be a very difficult thing to do but in most cases than not it pays off
165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop calling Bitcoin ''stable'' it's not. on: November 15, 2018, 09:05:32 PM
I think the word stable was used with respect to the situation at the time. But why would people want Btc to be stable forever?? I do not think anyone here would want that to happen, not now. Think of it, many want to make good profits from our investment and if Btc becomes stable now, how would that happen.
166  Economy / Economics / Re: Are fiat currencies necessary in the world? on: November 15, 2018, 08:55:52 PM
I do not know why some think fiat money is not needed. Despite it demerits, we all know there are a number of things that fiat can do better than crypto, most especially for offline transactions. Moreover, no government will throw its currency away for crypto. They may gradually accept Btc but I think it will co-exist with fiat
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The market is looking all red once again on: November 15, 2018, 08:48:08 PM
It is surprising. Just when you think the market is stabilizing, it falls again. Looking at things now, I am not expecting any bull market this year because the mini dump is just too much for the market to revive.
168  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: November 15, 2018, 08:40:30 PM
I do not know how this going to be possible: that we eliminate fiat completely. No government would sit down for their local currency to be thrown away because of crypto. We will do ourselves good if we do not expect some of these things to happen.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it bad for altcoin that BTC is dropping on: November 15, 2018, 08:33:08 PM
We are in a bear market and all the coins have fallen greatly. Bitcoin as well altcoins are affected by this bear market. With respect to the relationship, it is that believe Btc controls the market and as it falls, altcoins fall and vice versa.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am most worried now on: November 15, 2018, 08:26:54 PM
It is a normal feeling to be worried when your investment is dwindling each passing day. Eth has seen a very significant fall during this bear market and what is more disturbing is that we do not even know if it is going to fall further. However, I believe Eth has all it takes to bounce back so don't get worried too much.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold or Trade? on: November 13, 2018, 07:45:58 PM
I prefer to hold during this bear market than to trade but that definitely mean I am holding coins I believe have great potentials and not any other coin. Holding can be very profitable if you don;t give up along the way to the pressure that may mount as the market continues to fall.
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how long will everyone can wait? on: November 13, 2018, 07:42:48 PM
I will be waiting for as long as it will take for the market to turn green again. I do not see why I should sell my coins during this bear market. I know the crypto market is cyclical and will definitely come the good times again.
173  Economy / Economics / Re: We can totally eradicate poverty if we TRULY want to. on: November 13, 2018, 07:37:43 PM
I completely agree with you when you say poverty can be greatly reduced through our actions. It is really a pity to see those who have still willing to claim the little of the poor ones. If we learn to realize that success is best enjoyable if most but not one person has it, we will learn to help the poor in whatever way we can
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you want to see for Bitcoin - A stable or a volatile market? on: November 12, 2018, 08:16:10 PM
Whether Btc becomes stable or volatile, both come with considerable merits and demerits. I would like it to be volatile. Come to think of it, what do you think convinces people most to join Btc?? Is it due to the fact that people assume they can make enough profit based on its volatility or it is for its acceptance. Obvously, the profit is the major pulling factor and that cannot be if btc is stable.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know if Bounty is scam? on: November 01, 2018, 02:23:18 PM
There are less factors to clearly point out scam projects. I see people say we need to check their website and whitepaper for grammar or spelling mistakes and some others but I know scammers are smarter than this. I mostly consider how they run their bounty. sometimes they accept almost all irrespective of the nature of the work the bounty hunters do because they want wider coverage alone just to lure more investors into buying their tokens.
176  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the correct time to purchase bitcoins and al-crypto? on: November 01, 2018, 02:18:27 PM
I do not expect to see any further dip again from this time of the year. I believe the bearish period is over, we are within correction period and right after that we expect the bull run to commence. One factor I do anticipate to cause a forward move is the fact that many are expecting the bull run to begin any time soon and that people will be force to enter the market and have its fair share of the rise and that will cause more demand on btc and hence the bull run
177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon: I ‘Don’t Give a Sh*t’ about Bitcoin on: November 01, 2018, 02:11:15 PM
"However, as CCN has reported, JPMorgan has, despite Dimon’s hostile public stance, quietly begun “looking into” cryptocurrency, going so far as to acknowledge in published reports that the asset class is unlikely to disappear and could disrupt the banking industry."
In that same article, this statement popped up. So you see, everyone is entitled to his decisions and we as well as many others do believe in Satoshis vision. Ten years now and we are still around.
178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Effect of news circulating for Bitcoin prices on: November 01, 2018, 02:03:13 PM
Of course yes. Let's just imagine a group embarking on a campaign to introduce Btc to more enterprises in an attempt to convince them to accept Btc as a means of payment of goods and services and it happens that, say 90% do accept, what do you think will happen with respect to Btc use within that community???
So what I want to say is that, good news about btc can increase adoption and cause more people to invest in Btc.
179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Acceptance. on: October 31, 2018, 12:22:31 PM
Personally, i do not know how the regulation will be should there be any. Is it that governments will control all exchanges and tax withdrawals as done with banks???
I do know that with or without regulations, Btc will survive
180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you learn about new altcoins? on: October 31, 2018, 12:15:12 PM
I like to join the telegram page of the new coins I am interested in. Over there, the team answers all questions related to the coin and you can learn a lot. For coins i would like to invest in, I do read their whitepaper as well.
