3  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-02-12]Bitmain Stands Behind Bitcoin Classic, Declares Bitmain Warranty.... on: February 12, 2016, 03:35:07 AM
BitcoinRountable.com is part of the Coincepts.com project I am setting up.

The so-called "Bitcoin Roundtable" group in the story above is not associated with BitcoinRountable.com, Atlantic City Bitcoin, or Freedom of Information, LLC.  I operate normal companies that are registered and I don't hide the domain registrations under privacy.

Apparently there is also confusion over "Bitmain" and "Bitmain Warranty":

5  Economy / Goods / Re: Custom Letters from Santa - 10 mBTC on: December 14, 2015, 07:50:50 PM
I'll be ordering two as well for my kids but would also like a small coin or something to accompany it.  As much as I love bitcoin, it does not have to be bitcoin related as I don't think my kids share the same passion as I do Smiley

They send a nice coin with a stand if you pick that option. I just wanted a different something sent with it as we already have the coins from last year. I highly recommend these letters if you have kids!

I have a roll of 2012 Casascius 5-Bitcoin blanks.
6  Economy / Goods / Re: Custom Letters from Santa - 10 mBTC on: December 13, 2015, 12:44:52 PM
BitcoinSanta.com is back!  Letters from Santa are going out this week.

I am doing a "to the moon" price special to anyone reading this.  Just 5 millibits for your Santa Letter.  Just PM me and I will send you a payment address.  letters can be generated at http://letters.santagram.com/.  You can use the examples or write something from scratch.

7  Economy / Digital goods / coinbank.me domain - free* on: December 09, 2015, 06:51:52 AM
It is expired but can still be transferred/renewed.  *You must pay for a domain transfer/renewal from the registrar of choice.  Godaddy has a sale for $9.99 but renewals down the road will be about twice that.

Let me know if you want it and I will send the auth code needed to transfer.

8  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinNews.com Product reviewers on: November 03, 2015, 05:22:18 AM
I like the idea of your site and good domain name! - Bookmarked

Product reviews? You mean things like miners, hardware wallets etc?

Yes, any of those things.  Any kind of service, web site, etc.  Companies are going out paying for news releases, etc. and this will be a good way to get their product listed free.

I put up a review of coinbase.  it explains what their service and hits some important points that new users would want to know.  Now that I put something up I will be getting back to the people who contacted me.
9  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinNews.com Product reviewers on: November 02, 2015, 08:38:19 PM
This is a great idea though people that write product reviews will definitely be expecting something in return and since your website is new i will advise you to let the reviewers/writers understand whether they are writing for free, tips or postponed payment.

Yes I am paying for the articles.  I will make specific arrangements when people contact me but generally I will break it up into small jobs and pay when it is completed.  I can pay in Bitcoin or Paypal or some combination thereof.
10  Bitcoin / Project Development / CoinNews.com Product reviewers on: November 02, 2015, 01:58:15 AM
CoinNews.com is a brand new site and has no articles, traffic or income yet. I would like to see if it is feasible to have a much wider range of authors than what you see at most news sites. As a first step I would like to focus on product reviews.

Looking for people to write product/service reviews. The reviews should be balanced and should not be just a news release or some complaint. If you are interested in writing a review leave a message at http://mail.help.org/ (I don't generally read messages sent through here)
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Certified Bitcoin Professional on: June 11, 2015, 05:36:08 PM
The good and bad points o fractional banking has nothing to do with the discussions about Bitcoin unless you think Bitcoin will replace everything.  The only important think is getting people to use Bitcoin and making claims that it will somehow affect fractional reserve banking is nonsense.
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Certified Bitcoin Professional on: June 10, 2015, 05:20:31 AM
I see theymos is offering a certification now:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=427201.0

I would suggest people seek legitimates certifications rather than buying one from theymos

http://www.digitalcurrencycouncil.com/ and https://cryptoconsortium.org/ offer legitimate certifications.

One should becareful about using the same name on comment sections and forums if they are looking to promote such a thing in these forums.

You've still offered no reason as to why the Fractional banking system is good for the average person.

I pointed out in a different comment section that you are a wing nut.  Anyone who doesn't agree with your fantasy agenda supports the fed, the government, the leviathan, or some other nonsense.  You are like the people who go around blaming either Obama or the Bush legacy for every problem on Earth and somehow you twist every story or comment into some discussion of how Bitcoin will solve all the world's problems.  The specific discussion you are referencing was about actual Bitcoin use cases and was completely irrelevant to your fantasy about Bitcoin being the singular world currency.  My education is in physics and computer science, not economics.  However, I know enough to know that you don't have the slightest idea what you are talking about.

The forum's expert "certification" (recently also extended to /r/Bitcoin) predates "Certified Bitcoin Professional" by at least a year, I think. Here's where I officially announced it, though it existed for quite some time before that. People with a Bitcoin expert badge (or an equivalent core dev badge) are intimately familiar with the theory and inner workings of the Bitcoin network, and they are able to intelligently discuss any proposed change to the network. If they time-traveled to 2007, they would be able to reconstruct something feature-equal and at least a little better than Bitcoin from scratch.

Receiving this badge requires a recommendation from someone who already has the badge and approval by an admin. There is no fee or exam.

The point is that you are not reliable or credible to offer any type of certification.  Since you promote the sale of accounts no such certification, logo, account name, or anything about you or this web site can be trusted.

16  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: An easy way to remember a bitcoin address on: March 07, 2015, 03:18:14 PM
...
Addresses should generally not be reused. Reusing addresses harms the your security and privacy as well as the privacy of all Bitcoin users. Extensive address reuse contributes to systemic risks which endangers the system (what happens when RPG wielding ninjas show up at mining farms with demands to not mine transactions belonging to their enemies?  If regular transactions are conducted so that they are indistinguishable to their author's enemies we never need to find out). While the community may not go so far as to prohibit reuse, building infrastructure that rewards it is not a good plan.

Other than the possibility of the random number generator not working correctly address reuse does not automatically "harm" anything.  It fully depends on the use case of the individual.  Many users realize a benefit of address reuse because of usability and transparency.  There is a general bias among the developers over what they perceive as "harm" concerning privacy issues.  Nobody should be "penalized" because they have a system that depends on address re-use if there are no other security issues surrounding that.  The developers should also not try to influence the code based on their personal biases over the wishes of many users.

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized? on: March 02, 2015, 03:31:01 AM
Decentralization should be on the Internet it self also .
Like http://maidsafe.net/ project for example of Kim Dotcom MegaNet project . so yes everything should be Decentralized .

OK, let's start with your Bitcointalk account.  You need to give up control and somehow put the account into the blockchain so we can come to some kind of decentralized consensus on what you will be posted by the account.

On the other hand you can consider https://piazza.com/princeton/spring2015/btctech/home  instead of posting nonsense.

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized? on: February 25, 2015, 07:53:40 PM

Internet allready has done a lot for decentralisation. Now everyone can sell his stuff on amazon, has a platform for his show or music on Youtube. Twitter and Facebook helped destroying totalitarian regimes all around the world.

The Internet did many things just like Bitcoin can do many things but it does not fundamentally change human nature which is what some of the "wing nuts" and cultists are claiming.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Everything Be Decentralized? on: February 25, 2015, 09:15:38 AM
Maybe we will never obtain a 100% decentralization, because I think the people will start to think decentralization = anarchy but it isn't the same thing. Instead we can decentralize the life aspect as the approach with the government's institutions but it will take some time (and remember the governments can no longer be corrupt, or "bribe").

The slide from the Nakamoto Institute :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPY-5SR-jPQ#t=1063

Of course they use Satoshi's name without permission to try to gain attention for themselves and they claim to know Satoshi's intentions based on cult-like reasoning and wild speculation.  They call themselves an "institute" and give themselves titles like "director of research" yet they have no peer review whatsoever outside their small group of nut jobs and they sit around calling everyone else stupid like a bunch of unemployed teenagers who sit around making fun of people going to work..

You can never stop government corruption or change the fundamental nature of human society by running a blockchain .  You can maybe affect certain things and disrupt some business models but it is not reasonable to expect more than that.  Here is an example of how most people see the Bitcoin "wing nuts" (Note that this guy is starting a business based on cryptocurrencies and not some anti-Bitcoin person)

https://blog.caseykuhlman.com/entries/2014/bitcoin-somaliland.html

I say: Yes, you can! Imagine, that the right ethereum-agent could do all administrative work for a city! If you see a  road hole somewhere, you post it on mist and then all people that are responsible for that street vote for repairing it, so the ethereum agent advertises the work to several company's that return competing offers. Everything transparent, fair and cheap. How nice would that be?

What makes it possible? The Blockchain!

You understand the problem of 51% attacks, but you don't understand the problem with democracy?
If 51% of the people control 100% of the tax-money(in fact they even control money printing)..what do you think will happen? Smiley

Something being possible is not the same as motivation to do something.  It all sounds great if you live your life in a video game or a John Lennon song but this is the real world.
