641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v7.4 (Windows/Linux) on: November 23, 2016, 05:28:46 PM
can confirm that r9-270x does about 105Sol/s with claymore (windows), using cards that are undervolted

definitely superior to getting ~14MH at ethereum

That is quite fast. For the old cards like 270 or 280, it is better to run them at the ZCash mining, more profit.
642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v7.0 on: November 20, 2016, 03:24:38 PM
Is ZEC more profitable than ETH?

not anymore, it's way lower, assuming a rig of 1000(6 x 480)sol versus the same rig that do 180MH it's 0.002 worst, conusmption is also higher i guess or on par

What bios/settings r u using to get 180MH from your rig? I have low power bios and have 170mh, on this 180mh was unstable. Is all fine on your rig?

The question you should be asking is, what is his hash per watt. You can crank up the speed but you exponentially use more power.

I have free electricity, so for me more important is MH/S Smiley

There is no problem for overclocking if you have free electricity. But you cannot do too much, that will damage the cards.
643  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: October 25, 2016, 05:31:54 PM
I don't know, maybe most people can change for money however you can't say all people will change dealing with money(or power)

Collateral is a bad necessary, without it, well, probably you will lost your money, and well, always ask for a 120+ collateral.
Every sensible lender should ask for collateral before giving out loan because some borrowers are naturally gifted to default a loan terms. Should the borrower fail to pay back, you do not mind because your money wil not go in vain.

Every business must have some challenges within it, at the same time some smart solution also for the challenges will be available, we must make use of it.

This forum atleast on the last months has improved a lot, almost if not all the lenders do ask for a colateral before risk their bitcoins, the only problem is there are too many people trying to loan and short of people needing the loan really, some people use their accounts to get bitcoin.

That is because if you are going to return the loan with interest you should really have a good business which provides you with good profits. It's a rare thing in reality so smart people think twice before borrowing money. The gambling addicts is a different story, they are borrowing thinking they will make lots of coins fast and that's where you need to use a collateral.

That is right. The earning from the loan should be more than the loan interest. Otherwise, it is not worth the efforts.
644  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans too risky? on: October 18, 2016, 08:02:34 AM
yes there is no doubt about this that loans are too risky so you should be careful when taking loan as there is always a chance of loosing bitcoins if he price fell down so try not to buy or do trading on loans as you will then not be able to return it back.
what is the risk in taking a loan  Grin the risk lies for the individual giving out the loan ,doing trade and gambling with loaned amount is a very risky thing as you never know when you are going to loose everything,bitcoin and price really never matter if you are not looking for a profit every month.
Maybe he is afraid that he might be tempted that he will not be able to repay his loan due to lack of control in the lending operation, even if you get a loan easily but you cannot consider it as a free as that is a sin not to repay loans and just take the money of others illegally.

That is true. Most people cannot control their mood and not very displined, it is better not to borrow.
645  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-10-03]Naughty America Eyes Blockchain To Fight Adult Content Piracy on: October 04, 2016, 08:22:32 AM
Naughty America is involved in creating a tons of contents, and well it easy to find a decent blockchain for them to stablish a network. but how is it after that i think it will not become a forever industry.
646  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: September 14, 2016, 06:11:13 PM
I have been saying this many times and falls under deaf ears. BTC will stay under $600 until the end of the year. But right now most of the people here are still in denial. Once they realize that it will really stay under $600 they will start getting angry. So expect many bearish threads and "bitcoin is dead" threads to come. Cheesy
I know that the value of the Bitcoin is going to rise again soon and the next time it is going to rise it will reach $1000.
The value of the Bitcoin is not going to stay down $600 for ever.

The price rose over 80% when the big rise happened in June. So I think the next rise could reach $1000.
647  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: September 06, 2016, 09:42:35 AM
one good thing about forum is that everything you say and especially when you say it like this:
I have been saying this many times and falls under deaf ears. BTC will stay under $600 until the end of the year.

stays public and it will come back to bite you in the A$$

there is always rise and falls in bitcoin price and you are a fool if you think you can say things like this for sure, especially when the overall tendency of the market is rising
Some people are just incredibly confident in their predictions. Especially when that person is anonymous and is able to post on the internet, then they become incredibly confident about their positions. He is definitely allowed to say whatever he wants, but again saying what you want doesn't make it right.

You do get your predictions right once in a while. This bloke was right until yesterday.
And for all you know, the price might still dip below $600 and stay there till the end of the year

I do not think the bitcoin price will dip below $600 again. It has established a good bottom around 4580 in the last month.
648  Economy / Speculation / Re: What did I tell you? BTC will stay down under $600 on: August 25, 2016, 07:55:52 AM
~~~How can you deny that BTC is going sideways-slightly down right now ~~~
are you really asking this?
there is always a range for any price, for bitcoin this range is slightly bigger than other markets like gold or forex. and right now this range is around $570 and unless it goes to $550 you can not call it sideways or "slightly down"! and even $20 is not unusual for bitcoin.
I think the bitcoin is trading side ways. If there is nothing big happen to the bitcoin, the price will be $580 for some time.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETC (Classic Ethereum) presented their Declaration of Independence on: August 11, 2016, 04:10:22 PM
Quite interesting:
We likewise will openly resist the “tyranny of the majority,” and will not allow the values of the system to be
compromised. As a united community, we will continue to organize for the defense and advancement, as
required, for the continuation and assurance of this grand experiment. The Ethereum Classic platform, its code and technology, are now open to the world as Open Source software.  It is now freely available for all who wish to improve and build upon it: a truly free and trustless world computer that we together as a community have proven and will continue to prove is anti-fragile.1
650  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: July 28, 2016, 02:30:40 PM
It is still mysterious what will bring 2020 to bitcoin, make any prediction about the price what it will be by 2020, in fact very hard for anybody to tell the exact price but looking over the growth chart than it looking it will be around $9000 - $12000 as per my personal thinking.
of course it is really hard to predict what the prices of the bitcoin is going to be in the near future, i believe we might reach way bigger heights at like 50000 dollar per bitcoin
For the exact price is very difficult to predict because bitcoin continue to fluctuate and are affected by the situation. We're not in bitcoin on what the next 2 years and we could not get in bitcoin will rise or fall. But I believe bitcoin will continue to rise and many will adopt in 2020. Bitcoin will get to the heart of society.
Even though the bitcoin price is volatile, the long term trend is going up as long as there is no big pump and dump.
651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2020 on: July 14, 2016, 06:33:15 PM
i think after longer time that bitcoin rise its price to equal 10,000 euro, longer time mean 15 years or 20 years later and i think in 2020 bitcoin increase its price into 3,000 euro .
In 2020, the bitcoin price could be 10 times of current value if more than 2 million people in the world use it.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 01, 2016, 10:56:00 AM
Is anyone using RX 480s with powered risers?  My system runs for about 8 hours then reboots.  Plus the control center is the newer one and doesn't show temps.
I have the molex powered risers. That is connected to the motherboard PCIE slots as well. That is safer.
653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price increase because of steam ? on: June 16, 2016, 08:47:21 AM
No I do not think the price increase is because of steam to be honest, I really do not know how the price increase has come these days.
I hope it will stay around the 500 dollar.
I think because of incoming block halving and i think the price increase because of more investors from lisk and ethereum are converting there altcoin back to bitcoin..
I agree with the first argument about the block reward halving. The Etheruem price is also an all time high.
Both bitcoin  and Ethereum are competing to see who has the highest rise, so far, bitcoin is winning the race.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum+Decred GPU Miner v4.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 29, 2016, 05:08:10 PM
If you mix the video cards from different generations, such as 3x280x + 3x 390, will that increase the stale share rate?
No. Every card has own settings, so you can mix different cards as you wish.
How long is the kernel time for different cards? Does the system wait for all cards to finish before requesting for new jobs?
1. Depends on "-ethi" value.
2. No. Miner manages every card separately.
Is the -ethi 8 twice the kernel time as as the -ethi 7?
655  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price increase because of steam ? on: May 21, 2016, 07:12:05 PM
Price will increase strong because of steam. Halvening come soon to, so well hodl, and then sodl at higher prices.
The bitcoin price dropped from $460 to $430, is that also because of Steam? I think it is nothing to do with a single company.
656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price increase because of steam ? on: May 08, 2016, 09:01:34 PM
The bitcoin price is just trading in a small range from $440 to $470. There is no news to drive it either way.
657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we left the 200's for ever? on: April 25, 2016, 08:24:31 AM
We will not see the 200 forever. It is lower than the cost of most miners. They will not sell below 200.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Delete old DAG Files`? on: April 04, 2016, 09:47:53 PM
for some reason, if old dag files exist when i start ethash, it has 0H/s and tends to hang/crash the moment it gets new work from the pool
is there a reason for this? i considered adding a rule to the batchfile to delete all pre-existing DAGs at launch
The generation of the DAG file is a very slow process if you use a slow CPU. So it is better not to delete the DAG.
takes <5 minutes per dag - not that bad assuming you plan to be mining for hours or days on end
For the Intel G1620, it take about 30 mins to generate one DAG. So it is better not to delete the right one.
659  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy down forever? on: February 19, 2016, 02:17:36 PM
i doubt if Cryptsy can come back at all. with the hit they sustained they are lucky if they can come back from it alone.
besides nobody is going to trust them even if they come back.
The owner BigVern has fled to China according to his wife. So BigVern's Cryptsy will not come back in its current forms.
