I took a glimpse at his calculations and can say that he's about right. But not in everything. For instance, there are no coins held by real people at the time of this writing. Most coins were dispersed between addresses controlled by one single guy. I assume freetrade is the character that owns these addresses. When ur comrades realize he screwed up the distribution he will be taking the bullets mark my words.
Damn, I've been caught out. I can verify that I'm not a real person. Only unreal people invest in HOdl.

i bought hodl at 30K and now on yobit ( btw only exchange where you can trade hodl) is 1 hodl around 140 sat ........ i hope it will be little higher We are all waiting for that day. 8^] BTW you can also trade on BitSquare P2P exchange, I added the code a few months ago. It's OK for buying at a fixed price but selling is not so easy because of price variation. Normally with Bisq you can set a price as percentage difference from market price but this doesn't work with HOdlcoin because there is no price feed available in the program. Still, better than nothing.

Forgive my spelling but I just want to comment on fcukin numskulls that have some many coins dumped on the exchange at the lowest possible price as to cause the value of them to never go up. Wake up dipshits! 10 million or 10 Billion of something worthless equals a lot of worthless. Maybe take them off the exchange or better yet cwitch coin over to one that includes masternodes as to persuade the community to not dump everything. This coin has a lot going for it but something major needs to change.
Since the coin hasn't been over 7 sat in almost a year, those buy walls aren't a new occurrence. There are people out there who just want to get some of their money out, having given up on Verge completely. I have no idea why the perceived value is so low, it seems technically good and has an active developer.

Bitsquare v0.4.9.7 out tomorrow. https://bitsquare.ioLive price feed is slated for the next version, I'll be totally reworking the way we get feeds.
|
|
|
Clams will be added to the next release of the Bitsquare P2P exchange, v0.4.9.7 due out in about a fortnight. For more information: https://bitsquare.io

I'm working on it. According to Manfred (the author of Bitsquare): CryptoNote coins need same feature like Monero to get added (tx key,...), otherwise the arbitrator cannot verify the tx (not visible on the blockchain). If we can find a way around that it can go in immediately. - Rob

Bitsquare: Currently working on adding Bittrex price feeds but meanwhile here's what it looks like.

Seems like nice exchange, a little complex to navigate but it's all there.
Could you please add Vcash?
|
|
|
Thank you! Good luck with the new exchange.

For the past month Yobit exchange have been committing a fraud. They have kept HOdl in trade while having no HOdl to exchange. If you buy HOdl from them they cannot be removed into your wallet for interest.
I have been patient with them until now, but it has become apparent that they do not intend to fix it. As a major hodler I feel it necessary to issue the following warning:
YOBIT IS A FRAUDULENT EXCHANGE. DO NOT TRADE WITH THEM UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
See HOdl slack channel for further information and proof. Apparently I cannot upload it here.

Changing the mining rewards is pretty radical, but the coin has been losing value and interest - I think if some radical action isn't taken, the coin will die.
I don't see that as an effective solution. The bot miners don't care how their selling affects the coin, so even at a lower reward they would still dump coins. There are two major events happening soon that _should_ improve things: 1. The BTC halvening will be finished, and 2. Some HOdled funds should start maturing, since early HOdlers stashed some of their nuts for 6 months. The first will free up funds that people are currently throwing at Bitcoin with abandon. The second will increase the market capitalization, thus making us more visible on the charts. Patience my friend.

good morning, thanks for sharing updates , but i dont even know how to compile this miner , i was trying to use wolf cpu miner but crases on my xeon e3 1230 v2 on win 10 64 bits , using currently old miner for hodl Yup, no AES_NI on that CPU. cpuminer-opt is not available for Windows so keep using hodlminer or switch to linux. e3-1230 has AES. Must be something else.

gpu miner still private i guess .. not really fair..
There is no GPU miner, dumbass. And that has been stated here before so read the thread first.

The pool announced above is not official HOdl software. Testing shows you will lose 25% of your mining efficiency by using it. But by all means go ahead and try it, free enterprise is always looking for expression.

HOdl does not officially support Azure, it's rubbish. What you linked is some private person's github page. Don't be an ass.

no need to mine, put 250 hodl in hodl mode, and wait 1 year = profit? 10k coins lol
Yeah you may come out with 10k coins, but what really matters is how much those coins are worth, probably equal to what you started out with lol way lower lol Yeah, I would hate to be one of those poor bastards who bought Bitcoin in 2009.

Just tested with Ubuntu 15.10 Wily Werewolf
You can take out the second line for this Linux version, not required. Git is part of the package.
