According to Wolf yes GPU mining is very possible... He is sick atm.. he may look in to doing this once he gets better..

My cpus are running at 90 C, is that too hot?
Thats too hot for any CPU, even mobile CPUs. Need some better cooling.

He is sick atm.. he may look in to doing this once he gets better.. it's possible yes, but not more efficient than gpu, so don't expect a big advantage, it would be the same hash per watt just like cryptonigh, this is an enhanced version of cryptonight afterall

So is this the highest paying CPU coin ever (aside from BTC back in 2009) ?
I tried XMR before with CPU and it made like $0.10 a day

Anyone else knowing hashrate for other cpu. Please post your hashrate and cpu
Pentium G3220 @ 3GHz, 20h/s AMD FX 9370 @ 4.7GHz, 170h/s Solo mined just two blocks now in the last week, both on the AMD machine.

I'm testing my pool currently, if some one is curious and wants to help a bit, please throw some hashes over: http://hodl.suprnova.ccEverything including Hashrate display, Payouts etc. should be right, please let me know if not, currently i'm searching for the first block but it seems my tiny cpu's are too slow to get something in reasonable time You can use the same settings like with the other pool for the hodlminer. hodlminer -a hodl -o stratum+tcp://hodl.suprnova.cc:4693 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword Thanks!! We've started a pool for HODL too: https://hodl.maxminers.netHowever, we're not compatible with the original CPU Miner as we did some modifications to get some more performance out of it, please use our own miner when mining on our pool, you can find the source here: https://hodl.maxminers.net/hodlminer-maxminers.tar.gzCompile with: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install gcc g++ make automake autoconf pkg-config libboost-all-dev libssl-dev libcurl4-openssl-dev libjansson-dev wget https://hodl.maxminers.net/hodlminer-maxminers.tar.gz --no-check-certificate tar -zxvf hodlminer-maxminers.tar.gz cd hodlminer ./autogen.sh ./configure CFLAGS="-Ofast -march=native" CXXFLAGS="-Ofast -march=native" make -j sudo make install hodlminer -a hodl -o stratum+tcp://hodl.maxminers.net:5256 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
We've already found a block, so the Pool is good to go, please spread some hash over.

Good job getting a pool going. Now there are 3 for people to choose from; us, Suprnova and you. I am really curious about your performance modifications. I did a diff of your posted code compared to what we did and I can only find one line changed in cpu-miner.c: 1064c1064 < diff_to_target(work->target, sctx->job.diff / 8388608.0 ); --- > diff_to_target(work->target, sctx->job.diff / 65536 );
This does indeed make the miner incompatible with us and Suprnova but does not increase any hashing speed. At best it does mess with the stats within MPOS. So I have to assume I missed something, where should I look for the modifications that get more performance?

Freetrade, mining over this asset is not ideal anymore. Better try NOT to do it with what was done in LOTTOSHARES.

Sorry, we probably chose the wrong words, the diff / 8388608 marked some valid shares invalid (block candidates) on our side which was not happening with / 65536 so you should simply find more block candidates with the mod. Best thing is probably to just try the miner without the mod and with the mod, for example point two comparable machines one to block quarry and one to our pool and you should notice a difference in speed, recognized shares, shorter rounds and lastly also the payouts.

Please keep posted. kaltun makes a good point there. Looking at the posted hashrates, seem like everyone is playing on a level mining field except for the few individuals with massive hashrate on the mining pool. Wonder how they accumulate 10khs to 40kh/s. Anyway, for us average schmoes, SOLO mining Hodl at this time is definitely just a waste of electricity.

Thank you for the clarification, that explains some of it. Then there is no need for me to compare anything, the miner is not faster just incompatible. Most likely the errors you encountered is because MPOS is not configured properly. My guess is that you have your pool set to Scrypt so it is using a target bits of 16. Whereas for this coin and miner we are using 9 because of the much lower difficulty. The other differences you talk about are merely share rates configurable within NOMP (or whatever stratum you use). Yes, you can make the results look more consistent by increasing rounds etc but it still averages out the same. There is no hashing speed increase. I assume Suprnova also uses different settings for that as well, but again, no speed increase will result. You could have just asked us or suprnova, we would have tried to help you get past that problem. No need for ridiculous claims.

How can I tell the total amount of coin in 'deposit'? Also, is there a way to view these stats publicly, so for example: duration, accounts, etc.
It's not public yet.. It's being worked on.. I can't give you the whole breakdown you asked for.. Just too much info.. But the total HOdled (deposited) is 1,120,259 Assuming the term of deposit for those coins is 1 year, there will be 40+ million coins when they mature. Here hoping the coin value won't take too much of a dive at that time.

Thanks for your post but don't you mean (32-hyperthread) and (40-hyperthread)? E5-2670 has 8 cores and E5-2690 is 10 cores. HASHRATE PER CORE ~30 h/s for E5-26xx v2, (guessing here) ~40 h/s == E5-26xx v3, ~50h/s for new/unreleased E5-26xx v4 so Xeon E5-2699 v4 22 cores 44 threads probably doing 1100 h/s @ $5000+ a piece, YiKES!!!!!!!
