601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best time to day trade? How to create a trading schedule in a 24/7 crypto market on: December 31, 2017, 02:40:58 PM
Does the cryptocurrency market mimic forex trading sessions?
When it comes on on trading system they are really the same but regarding on the things that do make them move then its entirely different.

(In terms of participant in markets) ie. What are the best times to day trade crypto?
Trading crypto doesnt have an specific time which we can make it as a best trading times.

Or how do I develop a schedule around a 24 hour market place?
Trading crypto is indeed 24 hours unlike on forex which is on 5/7.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: December 31, 2017, 01:49:17 PM
The crypto world can become unpredictable sometimes, making our choices of investing into it, a very limited one. From scams to ponzis, there have been many losses from investors, yet making it very difficult to find a reliable investment.

But on the bright side, you could still invest into assets and commodities with your crypto like Gold and Silver. Then, if done right you could profit along the way with a good strategy.

As for me, I only decide to invest into gold (by exchanging BTC to Gold) and into some NXT and BURST assets.

What would be your investment strategy? Please share your tips, advice, or any good strategy you would use to safeguard your crypto investments.  Smiley
For me, my best investment strategy is, buying bitcoin into low price and convert it into cash when the price is high, or invest into a investment site and run after you get your payment, Dont invest again cause there will be a greater chance to get you scam by that site
You investing on HYIP sites or ponzi sites? Since you do mention on investing on sites and then ran away once you got profits which i do see its a really very risky thing to do since you wont even know if you are on the right time or not which it is just similar on playing gambling. Risking money to earn money is common but we should really be wise on doing it.
603  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: why bitcoin illegal in asia? on: December 31, 2017, 11:40:07 AM
bitcoin illegal  some asia country bt why?can you give me some reason about this?? thanks
Can you give 1 particular country in asia because have not heard that there is 1 that says its illegal. In our country (Philippines), our government thru our BSP has taken an initiative to regulate bitcoin.
I think some country from asians he means like Bangladesh, Nepal, China which source from News Bitcoin
Which it believes in Bangladesh the reason behind the ban, they would allow people to be "financially harmed." If you're caught trading in bitcoin in Bangladesh, it could lead to legal trouble under the Foreign Currency Control Act and Money Laundering Regulation.
Trade of bitcoin is illegal only in one asian country and that is Bangladesh. Even Nepal doesn't has any laws for it while China has only stopped local exchanges from operating it hasn't clearly banned bitcoin. We still get a lot of investment in bitcoin from China itself. Saying this I would still say that Bitcoin does causes legal trouble for the countries as it becomes almost impossible for them to keep track of the financial operations of a person and amount of tax payable by him.
In some parts in Asia there are really countries which bitcoin is banned but most of them are on neutral phase which they didn't even made such decision regarding on bitcoin but for those who do made such prohibition im sure theres nothing can stop for people to transact with bitcoin since its a decentralized thing. One make use of Tor will surely hidden the transactions even more but be careful not to be caught because once you caught then you would end up on getting prisoned.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waves vs. Bitcoin on: December 29, 2017, 02:55:57 PM
Waves NG - has been released today making Waves the fastest blockchain in cryptocurrency.  1000+ transactions per second compared to 3 for bitcoin.  I'm tired of waiting for 3 days for my bitcoin transaction to go through, and paying $30 USD.  Bitcoin was the first and is well known with the media coverage it receives.  Usually the first coin people buy.  It's time for a new coin to take over, some day.  I think Waves is the best!
many of the pending transactions caused by the high transaction, current prices and transactions Waves still relatively low,
if one day Waves transaction increases I'm sure will also many transactions pending...
I still choose Bitcoin is the best  Grin
Not always the case because we do know waves will surely be entirely different specially if lightning network would be applied. The same on bitcoin too but i dont really expect for these things to happen and when regards on which is better then i would still choose up the King of Crypto which is bitcoin even though it is showing its flaws as of now when it comes to network fees and slow confirmation times.
605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: December 27, 2017, 05:16:36 PM
While demo tradings can be a useful manner of learning, it is still different when you are already on your own, faced with an obstacle that you have to decide on right there and then primarily because time is of the essence. Simply put, no matter how equipped you may feel because of theoretical education, it is still a jungle in the real world of trading. Hence, experience is still the major factor to sharpen your trading skills.
Demo trading can really help you out to practice up basic skills and can able to formulate your own trading way but even on demo we should really be serious on how to execute trades because when it comes to actual then it would really be entirely different.Pressure would really matter on here because demo and live trading isnt the same but somehow we can able to manage since we do have already the knowledge.
606  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: December 27, 2017, 04:25:05 PM
although bitcoin will not end poverty in the world but at least bitcoin can reduce the rate of unemployment which is now a complicated problem that is faced by every country in this world. at the moment I have absolutely no job in the real world because it is difficult to find my country job but since I joined bitcoin of course this makes me have a very profitable activity. and I can imagine if everyone could join bitcoin I think that would reduce the unemployment rate in the world. maybe i am the one that can be the size with which i feel right now.
Lol, nothing in this world can end poverty, unless the government will decide to be paying everyone every month without them having to work, just like that. Despite it can’t end world poverty, it can at least reduce the rate of unemployment we have in the world, it can help some get something to at least keep themselves busy all day than being idle as a devil’s workshop.
You are right, poverty will only end if all those people who are now millionaire because of bitcoin will donate half of what they earn which is very impossible. There are a lot of charity and organization already who are helping poor people but still there are still a lot of them. There is only two choice if we want the poverty to end its either the government will support them or the poor people will work hard.
If there would really be a strong and serious organizations would really be sensible and willing to put up money to help those poor people then it can actually make changes knowing that we are really capable on doing such thing but its always been part of the sad reality that people or rich persons are greedy and wont really tend to waste up their money to help other people who are in need.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possible scam warning - Cobinhood exchange on: December 26, 2017, 03:49:01 PM
So I’ve been a cobinhood supporter since post ico, so naturally once the exchange launched I deposited my ~90k cobs in, this is where the trouble started, see with cobinhood you can’t widhreaw until you’re level 1 verified, this took me days, however I finally got verified, during this time I did some cob trading and managed to increase my cob stack, now anyway fast forward to today, I login and half my balance has been wiped out, I had withdrawn 49k cobs, I had 4K usd left, 23.64 eth and 21k cobs, then I message the team, after they fix it saying it was a bug on the exchange I re login and my _whole_ balance is wiped, on top of this the team say the balance is correct,

DO NOT USE THIS EXCHANGE.

https://ibb.co/iQ0hLR https://ibb.co/hjvtS6 https://ibb.co/iCxJum https://ibb.co/hXWYS6 https://ibb.co/gdPL76 https://ibb.co/eVjyum

The team have now locked me out of my account, you’ll see I had a 23 eth buy order, they cancelled it and then stole my eth. Lol.

Hi Boss,

This issue has been fixed. as noted on the Telegram community:

"We have checked internally and found there are COBs deposited to this account due to system error, this is an isolated case, these COBs were sold into ETHs by this user. In order to protect other traders’ right, we have corrected the user’s account balance. The correct deposit records are at https://etherscan.io/address/0x63BE3b79a6B2bfb4Bd230813d9aA78650a7590Da#tokentxns"

So yeah it is an isolated issue and has been fixed already. Although I understand you are experiencing another issue?

All bullshit, anyone can see from the screenshots I bought and traded the cob dump . “Deposit error” LOL what a joke

Also cobinhood isn’t on cmc yet I don’t think, volumes low as it’s still new, service like this I doubt it’ll last tbh stealing funds and all
Those images is clear as water than this exchange do really acts shady and now they are making alibi as a system error or deposit error?  I havent heard such thing wayback on all exchanges that i used. Once orders been placed it cant really be changed or cancelled unless the trader would do such thing on changing decisions and also missing out balances isnt really a good thing. Thanks for the heads up on notifying on this scam exchanges even though you lose up some serious cash on here.
608  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: WARNING !!! Coinspot has an internal Hacker on: December 26, 2017, 03:06:55 PM
Hi everyone,  I was not sure where to put this but everyone needs to read this.
My partner received an email from coinspot the other day asking him to turn off his google authentication as they were doing some work on the site....etc etc..
He immediately smelled a rat and contacted them for verification. They answered and said yes, they were really coinspot and that a few accounts created last month were affected ...blah blah...
He replied that there was no way he was turning off his authentication without proof.
So...wait for it. They emailed him a copy of the. card with his picture on it, you know the one where you have to write on  that you are really you. Well they had access to that, plus all his account details...OMG...
Then they rang him on his mobile phone...!!!!!! and assured him they were working on things... It now appears there is a problem and they are looking into it. But meanwhile there are honest people out there who could be conned.

We are honest, hard working Australians and really don’t appreciate this. There is someone either internal or hackers with total access to all our accounts.  Very scarey...
I’m a bit worried that I may targeted now for posting this...
But you people all need to read this. If you get an email like that, DONT turn off your authenticator and raise merry hell about it ...
My partner is now trying to reach Russell, if he exists. You can’t phone them and we can’t go to Melbourne..
So, be warned ...
This seems really very suspicious because if theres an internal problem i would say its not really needed or necessary for you to turn off authentication since i dont see that it is related to affected on any errors. I would like to know if your friend did able to disable or refuse to do so? Since its not being mentioned on the story you do said. The fact there is that they did able to show up some proofs but still im hesitant to follow those orders.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Already lost 50% of my capital on: December 26, 2017, 02:13:32 PM
Hello guys. I just want to ask for your opinion or an advice.
I started trading since May 2017. I calculated all my loss, I already lost 50% of my capital  Sad. Some coins are still in hold.
I just want to ask what can you give to me an advice or any learnings  about trading. I'm using bittrex.

stop using exchange sites  like bittrex you will lost all if account locked.

start learning why you loss and earn from lost invest more or just hold and stay away .
If you are not use exchange sites like bittrex or poloniex then how can you trading? i used Bittrex a long time a i see that they are a good site which never lock your account without reason.
For owner thread, i think you were not learn trading knowledge when you just started trading and for this reason you were choose coins which have cheap price with hope it will soon increase 10x or 100x, this is general psychology of new trader who is not dare invest in coin that have high price.
I think you should look for cause and answer the question why were you lost before investing again.
Its always been good to stick out on reputable or popular exchanges but not all the time since we can able to make use on other exchange. It does really depend on trader preference on where we would be comfortable to trade on but we should be sure we do select on those legit ones because there are lots of scam and shady exchange as of now. Back to topic losing out 50% money or capital on trading isnt really surprising which it do normally happen because market is really unpredictable and if we do have less knowledge on executing trades then most likely this would be the results.
610  Economy / Economics / Re: If You Hate Poverty, You Should Love Capitalism on: December 26, 2017, 01:24:42 PM
I am a little agree with capitalism but whether this capitalism will always remain in its role to fight poverty. because poverty in this country is very high and can not be that easy in solve the problem. i do not really hate poverty karen it all is way from the creator if someone is not can change his own destiny then anyone can not change his destiny from poverty.
We cant say its really a destiny on being on the poverty level but we do all know that it is always been part of the reality because we do know status on life would really be classified on classes. I do hate poverty because i dont like to see other people who do suffer too much and even do struggle to live on daily basis since they dont have sufficient capability to do so.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Exchange - without verification (or limited withdraw) on: December 25, 2017, 03:21:31 PM
Hey guys,

I am looking for a safe (not scammy) exchange wich doesn't have a personal verification

Greetings

Always stick for most reputable ones like bittrex, poloniex and lots to mention but expect you wont really able to avoid KYC verifications since these are common implementations or requirements being imposed by them because they are following regulations to avoid such things like money laundering and other illegal aspect when it comes to big transactions but somehow you dont need to worry too much because you can actually make withdrawals without the need of verification but only do have daily small limits.
612  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 7 People arrested for Bitcoin Trading on: December 25, 2017, 02:04:26 PM
It's the latest in development from the country of Nepal which started nabbing bitcoin traders for fraud. Can be sentenced to upto 3 years in prison.

http://kathmandupost.ekantipur.com/news/2017-10-06/7-nabbed-for-running-bitcoin-exchange-business.html

First case of bitcoin related arrest in the country.

I was born in Nepal and I am happy that I emigrated from that country for my studies when I was young. These idiots will never understand the fact that Bitcoins can't be banned. If Bitcoin is banned in Nepal, then the users will simply travel to India in order to conduct Bitcoin trading (Nepalis don't need visa to enter India and Indian Rupee is widely accepted in Nepal).
That is one way to be legally trading Cryptocurrencies but I don't think it is efficient to do so, I mean cryptocurrencies are volatile which means you must be actively trading it going in and out of the country just to trade does not look favorable for you not unless you are earning considerable amounts of money for your account. And I don't think you have understand the news right the people who got arrested for Cryptocurrency Trading are running its exchange operation illegally without any business permit.
It really a good option to migrate but would really have lots of things to be considered first before you would able to do such thing and as being said you should really have a justfiable amount of profits that would really be worth it for your immigration in other country for the sake of getting freed from laws that you dont like when it comes to bitcoin or crypto trading. This is just an another case since as being said link doesnt mention about that but for those people who do have exchange which really violates countries laws.
613  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long awaited Bitcoin correction(+) on: December 25, 2017, 08:47:09 AM
The Bitcoin touched new max, the news about CBOE Futures - is Fact now. There is no new information about Tether huge cap. And loooks like double top on Bitcoin chart is drawing now.
My opinion is that correction will be achieved in the range 8-12 and then big daddys will open new long position with target 25-28 before new year.
What you say?
BTC

As of now it is impossible for bitcoin to reach 25-28 this year as it really drops 20-30% this month. But hopefully by 2018 it will reach that range and investors will come to make that happen.

I meant that before the new year there will be a purchases of btc, when the price becomes suitable, but you know, volatility of a coins can made and this scenario possible)
Talking about on the possible lowest price for this year cant be known since we do know how volatile is the price of bitcoin but regarding on accumulating it before the year end isnt really a bad idea though but in my case i would wait for a little longer on what would be the reaction of price in the new entry of year 2018. If i do see some potential on increasing then accumulating phase would begin and add up on my folio. Its just a matter mix of intuition and instincts.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Becoming Millionaire from Altcoins? on: December 24, 2017, 11:33:44 PM
Hi Guys!
Do you think the successful story of BTC could happen once again?
With 8 year hodl or not.
Just being realistic and taking measurements from some prediction sites
like https://coincheckup.com/predictions the maxium of increase is 70x of worth.
But is that true ?
There could be more growth?! because ETH and LTC
are way much better in their technologies, the marketcap is still growing too and 2018 are the mass of investors coming  ...

What are your thoughts ?!

happy trading and merry xmas
The answer regarding into this question is no one really knows or can really give you about the accurate and precise price in upcoming years to come in bitcoin because we cant guarantee to rise up its price 70x even more seeing on its current price because if we do talk about 70x then it would be nearly 1m/bitcoin which it is somehow realistic to consider already.
615  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If i dont sell my bitcoins for the year i still have to pay taxes ? on: December 24, 2017, 03:29:47 PM
No. If you don't convert your Bitcoins to hard cash, you don't need to pay any tax on it. As long as your investment remains in the form of Bitcoins, the government can't tax you. If you sell your coins within three years from the purchase, then you need to pay regular income tax over it. If your investment is over three years old, then you may only need to pay the long-term capital gains tax.
If you are country is being too strict on implementing tax laws then you would definitely pay up taxes when you are already converting your bitcoin to local fiat but actually you can evade tax if you do want too which you should only cashout on minimal amounts gradually not on bulks so that it wont really caught their attention. For now you shouldnt still bother or stress out yourself regarding on this as long your investment is on bitcoin form.
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Etherdelta up again? on: December 24, 2017, 02:36:59 PM
Is etherdelta safe again to use now?
Yes they are already up since December 22. Which i would say they are safe to use as of now and as being said by other member on there regarding on the hack it is involved on dns which it do really redirects users into other site. As they made an announcement it would really be a helpful thing specially on newbie users and heres what they wrote on updates:

*IMPORTANT* We are also gonna make a series of educational effort and UI/UX changes to make sure users know how to identify phishing attempts in the coming weeks.

They are more aware as of now and im glad they would make ui/ux changes.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And the Bloodbath continues.... on: December 22, 2017, 04:07:44 PM
Reminds me of the giant stock selloff during the fall of 2008...Do you think that most of the selloff is done by small/inexperienced investors or from whales?
How long can it go>

We did really see bloodbath on here not only just on bitcoins price but on most alts in the market are on reds now which i would say its just a normal thing either on inexperienced investors or even on whales on where there are really the exact time on making profit taking. This is how the cryptocurrency market is so unpredictable. We might see the sky on recent times and later on in the end of the day we are already on the ground. This is why always expect the unexpected.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin now the biggest bubble of all time? on: December 22, 2017, 01:44:31 PM
The Dutch Tulip Mania is one of the most famous bubbles of all time, for the scale of the bubble, the scale of the collapse, and probably including the seemingly obvious nature of the bubble considering the extremely limited functional utility of tulips. Bitcoin has now surpassed the multiples of value appreciation at the height of the Tulip Bubble (and by a wide margin). While this itself is not proof that Bitcoin is a bubble or that a collapse is imminent, it's worth considering if there's a lot more risk buying at this price (currently bouncing around $17,000) than anyone on these boards seems willing or able to recognize.

Thoughts?
For the present time bitcoin can be considered as a bubble for some reasons as it has increased its price from 4000$ to 17000$ in just 3 months and it is a huge margin and also if we see current statistics it has dropped to around 14000$ and is still coming down . I am not absolutely sure on this and no one can be sure but there may be chances that in few years the bubble may explode.

Well, to be fair, 14k is still a lot, I would just call this a correction but eventually it will probably explode or die if current issues are not solved. I do think however that after 1-2 days it will just climb back up again.
This is true which if we do actually see on how bitcoin did able to increase its price this year then 14k range is still a lot and still a considerable price range. For those people who do panic saying that it is a bubble is those people who did bought on 20k price.  Grin . This is indeed a price correction or a moment of profit taking which isnt really new on this bitcoin world but expect price recovery would really comes after next.
619  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashflare, withdraw o reinvest? on: December 21, 2017, 01:47:21 PM
Why not mixing it up?

Step 1: Get back your initial investment (if Hashflares calculation ist correct this should happen after 2.5 - 3 months)
Step 2: Cash out a set amount of winning (e.g. after another month)
Step 3: re-invest for one month to add to your mining capacity
Go back to step 2

This way you will realize winnings but also keep your mining running without new investments from scratch.

I made a guide with updated values... I still recommend them, but you have to be patient in some cases.

See: http://conquistarbitcoins.blogspot.com.br/2017/12/how-to-mine-bitcoin-in-cloud.html

ROI today is about 4.5 months, but I'm hoping bitcoin will continue to grow.
Been wondering on how did you able to calculate the roi for 4.5 months which i cant see this thing for it to be possible and even on 1 year contract you cant able to reach out roi this is why i dont really suggest to reinvest again your funds into Hashflare. If you are really eager on investing then only put up on the money that you can afford to lose .Just dont blame us if you lose money and dont tell us that we didnt warn you.
620  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is legit minergate? on: December 20, 2017, 09:25:39 PM
amazon allowed to run minergate? hmm i'm so outdated on this technology. Some says minergate is legit and some says it is just a waste of time frying your GPU. I never uses a mining software to mine BTC as of now. But i'm planning to buy a rig when i get enough money to buy 4-5 of those rigs.
yea, no problem;

i use CPU for ETH , no gpu

which is other like better website?
I can't speak for people who are actually mining when I say this but I'm fairly confident that you won't be able to go very far on mining ETH because there's a lot of people moving to do that already with a lot more aggressive equipment that outpace CPUs pretty quickly in the grand scheme of things.

Mingergate isn't exactly efficient either from what I remember using it for, maybe it is fine but it wasn't necessarily exceptional in my experience. Mining a lot of the other altcoins they offer might be rewarding though.
There are still some better options though which theres a coin which would be worth to mine on either on CPU or GPU of your own PC but when it comes to ETH then i would say it would really be hard already as you said there are lots of people who do make use lots of equipment just to mine ETH coin which means difficulty would really be high compared to others.
