#3 stamp lot @ 0.0002 BTC #4 stamp lot @ 0.0002 BTC not quite sure which is the correct format to bid on a specific Bitcoin Sunrise stamp # Sorry if it seems confusing, could've probably worded it better. Each lot contains one Bitcoin Sunrise stamp display, with four stamps inside. First lot is Bitcoin Sunrise stamp display #3, second is #4, and so on until #10. Thank you everyone for your bids and Merry Christmas!

Introduction:Over the years, we've had various project ideas. Some remained just ideas while others lingered in varying levels of completeness and not made public. Today however we'd like to present to you one of these projects. Some time ago we've got the idea of releasing a crypto stamp and ordered a very limited batch to play around with the concept. The idea was to create something fun and a bit different without taking itself too serious. But what about selling and trading something that comes preloaded? We mitigated that risk by loading it with something worthless! So we chose to preload them with a small amount of testnet coins*. It would be humbling to see them being redeemed to test out a cool new Bitcoin project! Actually, I can imagine this being a cool gift for a Bitcoin dev. Also, thank you very much to mocacinno for providing the needed tBTC*! *IMPORTANT: Testnet bitcoins are worthless and hold no monetary value, this is what makes them valuable. At this point we have no plans on taking this idea further and would like to auction off most of the pieces created (there are a few more stamps with slight variations that we don't really know what to with at the moment). Item Description:A total of 12 numbered Bitcoin Sunrise stamp displays were created, each containing four Bitcoin Sunrise stamps. #1 is a PoC and was used as a test (this is the item in the pictures). The Bitcoin Sunrise stamp has a famous Satoshi quote inscribed and a sunny Bitcoin rising over the mountains in the background. Each stamp comes preloaded with *drums rolling*... 0.01 tBTC*. Materials: acrylic, wood, paper, brass. Dimensions: 14.7x10cm (5.78"x3.93"). AUCTION TERMSItem for Sale: 8 lots, each containing one Bitcoin Sunrise stamp numbered #3 to #10 Bid Format: BTCStarting Bid: 0.00 BTCMinimum Bid Increment: 0.0002 BTCAuction End Time: Thursday, December 29th 2022 @23:00 UTC (18:00 EST)Sniping: Any bid made in last 5 minutes PER LOT will extend the auction 5 minutes beyond the ending time PER LOT. Badges have been applied! Yes, badges. Plural! Talked with theymos and decided to share the bling between the first three places, that's five people in total. As mentioned before, the badges are temporary, with the first place being less temporary. Here's the shiny new badge: With the BTC prize and badges awarded, this concludes this year's Bitcoin Pizza Day contest! Thanks to theymos for sponsoring the event, alanst for designing the custom badge, Solosanz for providing stats and everybody that helped and participated with this event! See you next year! In the meantime Bitcointalk Partyyy!

As the world moves more towards open standards, websites and services are focusing a lot on offering an extensive set of APIs for interact, turning more into some protocols with clients built on top. Take Twitter for example: https://opensource.com/life/16/10/3-twitter-clients-linux-command-lineWould you use such a client, if existed, to read and maybe post on Bitcointalk?

A Bitcoin Forum logo... it's been at the back of my mind for a long time. Something minimalist that would serve as a symbol for our community, Bitcointalk. After going through a few vague ideas I had along the years, I settled upon the design that took the longest to click and the least to create. Here it is: It references the liberal and hacky BitcoinTalk way, a bold BBCode tag all in a "Magic Internet Money" vibe (story here) but in a minimalist way. It's upper left defies the border intentionally, just as Bitcoin. You could reproduce it by hand and it would mean the same thing - it would actually be cool to see it copied in different ways. Where would something like this be used? I'm thinking of things like merchandise and maybe even a BitcoinTalk physical coin, as was discussed in the BitcoinTalkShow thread, etc. What do you think? Do you have any ideas for a forum logo? Notes: This is not meant to be official nor to be a replacement for the icon/logo created by satoshi - hereby calling it the Bitcointalk favicoin This image is released into the public domain (copyright-free).

Awesome feedback and suggestions so far, thank you! Will try to address everything. Fixed the link in the homepage. To test if Youtube bans this link, I created a vanity URL for the BitcoinTalk Community Awards 2021 thread linked in the News section: https://bta.lk/t/bitcointalk-community-awards-2021Then asked to be edited in the pinned comment here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3v7Mg-IJxk& It might be ok because it was posted by the channel's user, would be great if someone could post a link in a regular comment though to test it out. Being useful to thread and signature designers is something that I didn't consider, but makes sense because it helps with the char count. I've PMed theymos about it and linked him this thread. If he wants, I could transfer the domain to him. Having it added to BPIP would be cool! If theymos thinks it's secure/future-proof enough it would be great so see it added to the green hover effect and maybe also a share button that you could copy the link. Bta.lk homepage needs some more work, a textbox to generate links is probably needed. Vanity URLs is something I considered for this project as a way to show gratitude but maybe also help pay for the domain and maybe even help BitcoinTalkShow. Thank you!

PS: GoDaddy is wrong, Bitcointalk.show is not for sale That means you own the domain. That sounds good. Did you try to get the dot com domain? It would be great to give it a try if the seller is ready to sale for a small fee. It's ridiculous that someone from us has done this. Would be great to avoid any future possible scam trick from the site. Didn't consider the .com at all. I think it would just be an unnecessary extra cost. Seems to me like Cyrus or someone here fetched the .show domain and embedded the most recent video. Could use some polishing or just forwarding to the YouTube channel though, in my opinion Yeah, good catch guys! There's been some work done but as you said, needs a bit more polish, that's why we didn't announce it yet. PS: The artwork in the background is especially commissioned for BitcoinTalkShow from likehiro. Their studio page is Hard Fork Studio if you want to see more of their work. In other news, we will probably shoot the quiz from the current Bitcointalk Community Awards 2021 soon. It's going to be the first time using our equipment this time. A new episode should be out soon as well. Also, what do we think about maybe traveling and doing some live coverage from events and Bitcoin/crypto related places. EG: Bitcoin 2022 in Miami, Bitcoin Beach in El Salvador, etc. Things to consider... traveling is not very easy right now and self-funding this wouldn't really be a good way.

[...] I was also a little surprised that the link to this topic was fixed in the news feed The point is that He Who Must Not Be Named made a similar gesture of goodwill in last year's vote. When bringing it up with theymos I did also consider asking about placing a link to the BitcoinTalk show. I will probably PM him eventually about it, but it shouldn't matter who's idea is it, as long as it's a good one. That's why our Bitcointalk Show's handle is @btctalkshow. The original was already taken by this 2014 project. [...]
Indeed, initially we tried @TheBitcoinTalkShow but it exceeded the character limit. I don't know if it's worth the hassle, but as long as it's not in use anymore it would be a nice touch. Thanks for the suggestion! bitcointalk.show is also available via GoDaddy Broker Service in same price Edit:Not sure if its allowed but I did it in a good faith, since bitcointalkshow.org was available I have taken it and I will happily transfer the domain to Cyrus or any one responsible for BitcointalkShow. Enabled Domain Farwarding from http://bitcointalkshow.org/ to https://www.youtube.com/c/BitcoinTalkShow/featured Thank you! Feel free to hang on to it, this is exactly what a community project should aspire to. PS: GoDaddy is wrong, Bitcointalk.show is not for sale
