lots of memory invovled in mining litecoins. Heat is an issue. You don't have to have a fast card to mine litecoins. But it helps. Litecoins are a whole diffrent setup than Bitcoin. nMore memory that your card can run withot overheatinfg the better you profit.

64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having Troubles with GUIminer... on: February 14, 2013, 03:18:40 PM
Try CGMINer it is a scriptminer. All you need is the mining address and port # your username and password. It is easy to use. But have you tried the -f flag in gui interface. Set flags _v W128 -F0. I got one machine just running a 5870 and it hashs at 455 MH's with these settings. Put  spaces in between the flags. Try this. It helped me by 100 MH's.

66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What if the US Government forced exchanges to close? on: February 14, 2013, 02:49:11 PM
The only way that this can be done is to regulate internet connections. Just like they did on black friday. But even on offshore exchanges. We can still reach them through TOR.

Does Bitparking act as a cashout processor, or is it just exchange?
68  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens if someone buys all existing bitcoins and destroys them? on: February 14, 2013, 02:34:37 PM
This would be a hard thing to do. If some had that much money. I guess they could. But why would anyone do that. Bitcoins are like stock. If you have them. You have money. Plus miners hold on to them waiting for value to increase.

Just move Wallet to it's own partion on the usb-stick. Pull it out when you are done. Linex live cd supports this. Just don't leave the thumbdrive in computer when you are finished with incoming or transactions.
70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does anyone still want to invest on ASIC? We need a coordinator and copartner on: February 14, 2013, 02:26:46 PM
Which asics? Avilon or BFL? BFL still has to send the goods man. I am not to sure about that company right now.It seems to me that he used miners money to invest in his projects. Which is what you are trying to do. Right? To many scammers now. You will be luck if you get  anyone. Sounds like a good idea though. What is going price anyway. What is your price.

77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOWTO: create a 100% secure wallet on: February 13, 2013, 04:54:26 PM
I myself think that the only way to secure your wallet is to store your coins at MT.GOX or something of that nature. I am aware of MT.GOX getting attacked. But if one has to sell or exchange their coins. They have to go to one of the exchange sites. Who is to say hat these sites will not turn on us someday and take our coins thbat they are storing in our exchange acxcount. I feel thbat there should be another way that we can trade or sell our coins thast we have mined or invested in. It would be a terrible thing to go to one of these sites and find that the site has closed its doors. What keeps thbe sites from closing and running with our money? Nothing, thats right, nothing. We have to trust the sites to make sure that our coins are safe. If the sites are not safe then. Why would a wallet be safe. Even if you copy your wallet dat file for storage. You have to hook that wallet back up to network to download new transactions. If an attack was plan. It would not make any diffrents if you had a backup. Your wallet would just be compromised when you download in coming ttransaction. The network is our biggest theat. To bad their is so many evil people out there. Most of us are honest miners. Just trying to make a buck. And like to toy with computers in our spare time.

I am a newbee. I would like to learn as much about Bit6coin mimning as I can. I just wish that I had known about this 2 years ago. I have been mining on Slush's pool. I have made me some Bitcoins. I would like to get some advice from the veterns of Bitcoin mining. I have been running CGMINER. I have found that GUI runns fastter. But does not seem to get as many shares. Is it that CGMINER is smarter miner than GUI? Is this just my incoherince of not understanding the mining process. I plan to stay with Slush. I have found thast blocks are found more often and at a faster rate than at other pools. I plan to post a lot in this forum. I have a lot to learn. I only have 4 years to learn it. I would like to learn to set up phoniex miner. I will ask that in another thread.
