161  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiBet Bitcoin Casino - Provably Fair - HTML5 - Play Roulette, Blackjack on: November 27, 2014, 05:12:15 PM
Hi

could You please explain this

Blackjack is a skill-based casino card game.

how do handle the 8 decks? after each hand a new shuffle? if yes there is no skill possible

or how deep of the shoe is the penetration you deal hands? in case it is very deep then skill could be possible for counters

thanks

The only sense of skill in Blackjack is playing correct. The edge in Blackjack varies depending on your decision making.
We do shuffle after every hand so there is no such thing as card counting possible.

For the referral program is it a month to month thing? Like say a player wins in october, so its nothing paid out. but then lose in november, do you give out commissions in December even if the amount lost is still under the total the account has won?

Looking at the formula that's what it looks like it indicates...

oh and what about bonuses, are they just random? that was in the formula too

It is a month to month thing, we pay your affiliate earnings at the end of the month, for that month. So on 30th november you receive your commission on all play throughout november. And it resets every month, we look at it on a month by month basis. If a player wins big, those winnings are not being carried over to next month.

Bonuses are currently not yet implemented, so atm they are essentially 0 and a non-factor in calculating your earnings.

We made the decision, effective immediately, to close SatoshiBet to US players. More info here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=839439.0
165  Economy / Gambling / PSA: SatoshiBet closes to US Players on: October 29, 2014, 05:12:50 PM
Hi all

Since SatoshiBet launched its casino in early 2013, Bitcoin gained an exponential amount of mainstream attention, of both users as lawmakers.
As a consequence we have decided, effective immediately, to close SatoshiBet.com to US players. All US-based IP's are from this moment onwards unable to access the website and any of its services.

After deliberate guidance on the matter by our legal counsel, blocking US players was deemed the best way to mitigate any legal liability for SatoshiBet and its shareholders moving forward.
This does not mean SatoshiBet or gambling with or without cryptocurrencies is illegal in the US. The definition by US courts is as of yet highly unclear, adding cryptocurrencies to the equation only further clouds a definite judgement.
To be clear, we have not been in contact with any government institutions, this is solely a proactive measure as a reaction to the fast moving regulatory landscape of cryptocurrencies.
Lastly, SatoshiBet was born out of a combined enthusiasm for cryptocurrency and gaming, it has never utilised any currencies other than cryptocurrencies for any of its transactions.

Thank you for your understanding

Addi, congratulations for the page.
I was visiting today and won some BTC in Baccarat.

Just one question, though. On my last transaction, it shows 0 BTC fee was assigned. Can that be set so that it gets a higher priority when processing the transaction? (i.e.: the transaction will be confirmed sooner). Currently, blockchain says the withdrawal transaction is 6 blocks away.

Thank you! Will keep playing

MCB

This is something that has been fixed, you should no longer get transactions with 0 fee assigned.

i cant get to doge or ltc part of the site.

Fixed as well, you can now access and switch to DOGE/LTC/BTC/Play Money at will again.

Already use it Smiley Question. Did this earn anything? I see it has 1 converted, but does that means they played?  Ty

It does, a converted user is someone who deposited. However the user deposited Doge, which our affiliate system does not yet support. At the moment it takes only BTC into account. He deposited 100 DOGE fwiw.

170  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | The Most Popular Bitcoin Game! |1% Edge | PVP | Active Chat | Faucet on: October 18, 2014, 02:34:31 AM
Sockets are overloaded right now due to heavy site load, will have chat and all bets updating again shortly.

see, if you didn't have a faucet you wouldn't be having this problem

do what partypoker did. make a primedice.net site thats just faucet used, if anyone deposits bitcoin it takes them to .com site

That's not really the reason why they did that, it's cause they couldn't advertise real money betting, so they made a free version on the .net domain for advertising purposes. It's what many fiat casinos did as a work around.
171  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiBet Bitcoin Casino - Provably Fair - HTML5 - Play Roulette, Blackjack on: October 16, 2014, 08:49:43 PM
Addi,

With as much work as you put into marketing could you please add a troll box maybe to the casino?

I've pointed prcdice.com @ you and I bet it brings a shit ton of players, but we all love troll boxes.

Respectfully,

BAC

We had a trollbox in the beginning for a couple of months, what we saw on a daily basis was:
- beggars for either bitcoin, or to get their lost bitcoin back
- other casinos spamming their links
- support inquiries which used the chat as if talking to a live support
- players who lost and needed to vent about it

This didn't weigh up against the few lines of honest chatter a few players had each week, so we decided to remove it. We are not really a social casino at the moment, similar to primedice where you can watch each other bet in real time, or like just-dice where you can invest in the bankroll and you have something to chat about.
I have to say we were considering reintroducing the trollbox already several times in the past, but so far at this point I don't think the time is right yet for our case specifically.

Thanks for pointing players to us either way, it's greatly appreciated. Also know that you can actually get paid for that through http://satoshibetpartners.com

Question about safety: any known instance this site has been hacked or a user lost her funds due to not her own fault?

As far as publicly known this site has never been breached
173  Economy / Securities / Re: [PBBS] PLAYTIN Bitcoin Bankroll Shares @PLAYTIN on: October 16, 2014, 02:39:49 AM
Some time ago I had a problem with a DRK deposit. Probably 0.1 worth of BTC... I sent the coins into my account but even after many confirms they never appeared. I know other people had the same problem. It was probably due to a dead daemon or something. I saw people posting in facebook, I posted in bitcointalk. Some weeks after the coins appeared in my balance even though they had been innactive for quite some time when this happened. Sadly there is no direct way to contact them as far as I know. Maybe post here, and also in their facebook page and If they see your message and are kind enough to bother they'll reverse the transaction.

Have you tried resolving this on your own though? You can retrieve the quick registration URL from your browser history.

I tried very hard to retrieve the URL, unfortunatly I just happened be using the Tor Browser during this event, so there was no history to find. What else can I do? I have posted on their facebook, twitter,  etc. I will hack the private keys to that wallet address if I have to, I need those coins back...

While they ceased communication, they are still maintaining their website, so if you put out the message they will see it at some point. If they will however offer support that is something else.
174  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Site Life Span on: October 15, 2014, 01:48:44 PM
What about Satoshi Dice? What happen to them? Dooglus owned that one right?

Voorhees owned that one, sold for a bunch of money to a rich gambling mogul. New owner redesigned the whole thing and introduced retarded shenanigans such as "spirit mood", new design also brought major outages and hickups, site went downhill from there.

If you mean just-dice, invested amounts were getting kind of ridiculous to carry responsibility for as a lone developer, definitely when regulation is heating up in Canada, so he closed it down gracefully.

177  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does online CASINOS have as good payout as live? on: October 14, 2014, 03:10:41 PM
I don't know if I can trust the replies in this thread, because they are all by Casino employees/affiliates.  How about a software expert to chime in?

I am the best of both worlds, a "software expert" who developed a casino that has been running flawless since early 2013. I did also not advertise the casino in my reply, so not sure what's wrong.

180  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does online CASINOS have as good payout as live? on: October 14, 2014, 01:02:55 PM
Anyone can clue us in on this?  Maybe a software developer?  Shouldn't online casinos have BETTER payouts than live, because there is less maintenance, a lot faster, and ease of access?

Online casinos, especially Bitcoin casinos, do have on average a much higher payout. A lot are competing on house edge against each other and against classic casinos. Thus these can sometimes become marginally low, which is of course very good for the player.
