41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long Term Invests on: February 22, 2018, 09:25:17 PM
For long term you should stick to established coins like Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum.
42  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How important are ICO advisors? on: February 22, 2018, 09:23:27 PM
When most people evaluate ICOs, they consider the advisors.  However, most are looking for big names in the crypto sphere.  In my opinion, it's more important to look for industry experts outside of crypto.  The goal of most blockchain projects is to gain usage and adoption in the real world, and expert advisors with credentials in major industries open doors to new markets.  At the end of the day, when projects exhaust their ICO funds, they must earn revenues.  What do you think?

I agree with your point of view. Advisors are very important anyway for marketing purposes too, because if people see that "big names" are advisors, they are more prone to invest...

44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin the best Long-term Hold? on: February 22, 2018, 09:20:20 PM
I have been in the market for awhile, and always hear the same mantra about trading to hold more Bitcoin and not Fiat.  I bought into the same mentality for a long time, but I'm changing my tune.  In almost every industry, first generation leaders are replaced by competition.  From Sears, Kmart, Nokia, Motorola, Yahoo, MySpace, etc.  Although Bitcoin is the current crypto reserve currency, I think that its dominance is threatened by ALT coins with faster, cheaper transactions and greater scalability.  What do you think?  Is it smart to hold Bitcoin as a long-term investment, or are there better choices among the ALT coins like Ethereum or Litecoin?

You made a good analysis. But coins can co-exist. So maybe in the future Bitcoin will be used more as a store of value, while other cryptocoins will be used for daily transactions.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people sell bitcoins? on: February 20, 2018, 05:00:45 PM
People sell Bitcoin because don't truly believe in it.

"Troy" with Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom is an absolute epic masterpiece. Must-see!
47  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are Millenials Dumber and Immature Compared to previous generations? on: February 15, 2018, 09:07:11 PM
When I see young people, I can't help but notice they are younger than their body's age.
I mean - IMMATURE.
Because of technology? Because they grew up surrounded by computers, cellphones, tablets and Playstations?

I can see it in their eyes. Sometimes I see young people and it is obvious to me that they are abnormally immature.
I see people on Facebook saying they are 14, 17 or 20 and yet when I look in their eyes, I feel like they think a lot younger than their age - IMMATURE.

Especially when I compare them to myself or people around me when we were at their age, young people are now MILES behind.
Am I the only who notice this?

I know many 40-50 years old people who are like 'never-grown-up' big kids. Capricious, frivolous and irresponsible. Also, there are many adults who play videogames or take selfies or make even worse actions like making sex with strangers without condoms. So I don't think it's an age problem, but more a society one...
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is still Ok to invest in Etherium on: February 15, 2018, 09:01:46 PM
I think so. Next to bitcoin is the best investment currency. At the moment, most developers choose eth. So it is a currency with large perspectives.

Yes, under 1k is still a good entry price for ETH. It has room to grow. But what I noticed about Ethereum is that it's more stable than BTC, with less volatility both for uptrend than downtrend...
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Very Important Tips on Bitcoin on: February 15, 2018, 08:56:13 PM

VERY IMPORTANT message about #Bitcoin

Read carefully & try to understand it perfectly.

Example, if bitcoin drops even to $8k or $6k levels, you do not panic sell any of your Bitcoin or Altcoins, because, when bitcoin is done with its downtrend, Altcoins will rise.

And when Altcoins rise, your Bitcoin will get double/triple. This way you'll have more Bitcoins in coming weeks/months. Then again, Bitcoin price will Rise. So you'll be in huge profits.

Remember, Stock Trading and Crypto Trading should be done with INTELLIGENCE, Smart Mind, Wise Thinking and NOT with Emotions or Distress.

We are bullish on Bitcoin & Altcoins and we are not selling any of our coins.

Do not believe in Rumors.

Beware of MEDIA FUD, MEDIA always talk negative about Bitcoin for their own TRPs.

Forward this message to your friends and groups, Help spread the Genuine Knowledge & Understanding of Crypto.

If you do not help crypto community who will?

True, panic selling is always a bad move made by newbie traders and investors. The wisest thing to do in my opinion is to pick a reliable strategy and go with it, without taking any care of FUD and rumors.
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MyEtherwallet is defunct now? on: February 14, 2018, 07:42:39 AM
Im saddened by this MEW split up. why did they do this if they can upgrade the MEW itself by not creating a new domain. is there any misunderstanding happened on MEWs developers. Are they not in good terms?. if this is the case then i will stick to MEW.
You should have at least read the report on reddit to be informed!

The way I see it, I think Kosala got it wrong here:
Quote
However, as a core developer and programmer, business development/designing were, admittedly, not my strength. I needed someone to take the lead on that front if I wanted MEW to grow its user base. I brought my friend, Taylor M., on board knowing that she was up to the task.

Must be Kosala have been emotionally attached to Taylor M, to have seen nothing wrong in allowing her custody of all company documents documents until the company was split into two, besides Taylor is nonchalant about a round table resolution - something quite commonplace with romance gone sour! A warning for us all, don't mix business with friendship!

Good analysis, I don't know if this 'Kosala' is a man or a woman. Maybe there were more than friendship between Kosala and Taylor, but this is just useless gossip by the way. The only important thing is that our tokens will be safe and not in danger. Waiting for next updates. Sad story btw...

Which specific token are you interested to buy?
53  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Choosing the Exchange for trade - participate in poll. on: February 13, 2018, 11:45:13 AM
I'd say security, low fees and ease of use.
But I would  also to your list the factor of no verification needed (aka the option to stay anonymous). This is the main feature I look for when choosing an exchange.

Another feature is to have high limits (or maybe not limits at all). There are ridiculous exchanges with such low limits!
54  Other / Meta / Re: Chances of signature campigns being removed from this forum on: February 13, 2018, 11:40:31 AM
I read comment by the admin that if the merit system fails to reduce spam from the website, he might take decisions like removing the signature campaigns. This is scary for me.  I am not eligible for any campaign yet but I was hopeful to get enrolled in one. If this is going to be implemented for sure, I might not be comfortable participating in discussions. I will though read posts by other members for information needed.

In my opinion, without signature campaigns, the rank of this forum would decrease so it's unlikely signature campaigns will be banned on this forum.

56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I am underage and having extreme difficulty buying Bitcoin. Help a kid out! on: February 13, 2018, 11:34:10 AM
Hi, Does anyone here have any experience of overcoming this issue. The amount I want to park in bitcoin and maybe other altcoins is not big but also not small.

Help a kid out!

Even if you are underage you have plenty of methods to buy Bitcoins, so don't worry!

First, you may arrange a deal with some user here on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0
Almost nobody will ask if you're underage or not.

Also, depending on where you live, you can buy Bitcoin with cash finding a local seller.

Another good option is to go on the website I have in my signature and buy Bitcoin there. Since it requires no identity document, you can use it even if you are underage.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for bounty on: February 13, 2018, 11:30:43 AM

Regardless, that's not justified. People should think twice before sending off their KYC documents. That goes for investors, too. Bee Token and Sentinel Chain are just two recent examples of ICOs that were compromised and leaked investor KYC data. Is it worth getting your identity stolen over an ICO investment? Probably not, but maybe, if you think you'll 1000x your capital.

Is it worth getting your identity stolen over a bounty hunt? Absolutely not! People should really stop giving their ID to everyone who asks...

I totally agree with your point of view!
It is a shame bounty managers request an identity document just to participate in a bounty campaign, the level of privacy invasion of those people has turned to be unacceptable! My opinion is to avoid such campaigns...
58  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should you prefer for buying Bitcoin or Bitcoin cash ? on: February 13, 2018, 11:28:02 AM
Some people buy bitcoin cash and some buy bitcoin.
I prefer to buy bitcoin cash, what you prefer to buy?

BCH is useless in my opinion, so I'm still buying BTC while it's under 10k...
